High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1718: Chapter 462: Unexpected Counterattack

Peach and tender is an escape spell.

After using this spell, the wizard can not only immediately escape the danger zone, but also leave behind one or several burning substitute peach blossoms in place, hindering the pursuers’ steps.

However, the peach blossoms summoned by the purple-haired witch only burned for a moment before extinguishing, and the unscathed figure of the Mi-go Emperor Bug reappeared in the wizards’ view.

The light spot between the wrinkles on its forehead flickered violently for a moment, eventually combining into a large simple sketch smiley face, as if mocking the wizards’ desperate struggle; its slender sheath wings trembled slightly behind it, emitting a continuous buzzing sound, like the noise before a dive from an old bomber.

Zhang Yu and Hilda, standing in front of the Black Cat, simultaneously raised the law books in their hands.

The pages bloomed with dazzling brilliance, momentarily suppressing even the sun overhead. Zheng Qing could clearly see the assistant’s hand trembling as he held up the law book; he knew it was not just the tremor of magic power surging but also the backlash of magic power after the array’s forced break.

This is not a battle, this is sending oneself to die.

The young wizard suddenly realized the assistants’ resolve.

”Go!”

The purple-haired witch gritted her teeth and grabbed the loose skin on the Black Cat’s neck—in usual times, the irritable Black Cat would raise its paw without hesitation and slap the face of that reckless fool.

But this time, it obediently followed the witch’s action, leaning back slightly, seemingly intending to leave like this.

”Wait a minute!”

The young cost student gritted his teeth, raised the charm gun in his hand—the chamber crammed with a Blood Symbol Bullet imbued with forbidden curse power—he tightened the trigger under his index finger: ”Give me one shot’s time... move aside!”

The last three words were shouted at Hilda and Zhang Yu.

The purple-haired witch opened her mouth as if to say something, but ultimately didn’t speak. However, the slight redness in her eyes and the loosened force beneath her hand still revealed the deepest desire within her heart.

The Black Cat hesitated to stop, tilting its head, glanced at Zheng Qing, and didn’t make a sound.

Jiang Yu pursed her lips and didn’t raise the charm gun like Zheng Qing. Instead, she quickly took out a jade pendant from her bag and fastened it on the warlock’s belt.

Boom!

The Remington’s low roar echoed in the ears of several people, the pale yellow windmill charm on the gun slowly spun a few circles, dissipating the magical aftershocks after the charm gun fired, Zheng Qing widened his eyes, staring fixedly at the faint cyan mark in mid-air.

Just a few steps away, Hilda tilted her head slightly, as if wanting to look back at what the warlock was up to; Zhang Yu, however, focused intently on the charging monster opposite, as if nothing could distract him.

Further away, the simple sketch smiley face still flickered on the Mi-go Emperor Bug’s forehead wrinkles, contrasting sharply with its somewhat ferocious face when charging, creating a highly contrasting picture.

Zheng Qing didn’t know exactly how powerful this shot was or whether it could threaten the Great Wizard Rank monster. He remembered when Blood Symbol Bullets were just Blood Symbol Bullets; they could blast a Satoguya heir with one shot, pierce two layers of defenses set by a Great Wizard consecutively, seriously injuring a Registered Wizard.

And now, the Blood Symbol Bullet with a hint of forbidden curse power, theoretically, should be more powerful.

Snap!

The next second, the Mi-go Emperor Bug turned into a mass of blood paste in his view. The pink monster bloomed in mid-air, the purple-red blood slurry painted a dazzling flower in the air, then rapidly turned to fly ash, causing many wizards and demons on the battlefield to glance sideways.

...

...

”Really... not surprising at all.

The Mist Captain squinted his eyes, observing the young wizard below who was holding the charm gun, with a trace of firm determination and astonishment on his face, his tone carrying some appreciation: ”To think of using the power of the forbidden curse this way, today’s youth, really impressive.”

Several deans from First University did not pay attention to the sea monster’s comment.

Instead, they watched it more vigilantly, guarding against these shameless and bottomless beings harming their students. Meanwhile, they also need to divert some attention to the fighting Black Mountain Goats.

In comparison, Professor Yao has more of an advantage in this respect.

After all, he has three heads.

The benevolent face watched the Black Mountain Goats’ duel, the angry face glared at the Mist Captain, and the remaining aloof face looked down, slightly frowning, his gaze hovering near the Black Cat.

In fact, he noticed the stealthy Great Demon aura below even earlier than Zhang Yu, but that aura was too fleeting, appearing on the Eyeless Tyrant for a while, then on the Death Knight, then on the Abomination.

Yet Professor Yao was entangled by the three Great Demons opposite, unable to fully confirm the opponent’s whereabouts.

Until Zhang Yu’s Heavenly Sin Net array was violently broken, Professor Yao finally confirmed that the Great Demon aura lingered on the Mi-go Emperor Bug.

But this confirmation, as Zheng Qing blasted the Mi-go Emperor Bug into pieces with one shot, became obscured by fog again.

As a top-tier Great Wizard, and having been a Great Demon before, Professor Yao absolutely does not believe that Great Demon would die so simply. Certainly, Zheng Qing’s bullet had great power, but that doesn’t mean Zheng Qing already has the ability to directly kill a Great Demon.

...

...

”Wow, really amazing!”

The purple-haired witch exclaimed, reaching out to touch the charm gun in Zheng Qing’s hand: ”How did this happen? A special charm gun? Or a special bullet?”

Zheng Qing delightedly looked at the swirl of fly ash not far away, somewhat shyly scratching the back of his head: ”It’s just that the bullet is a bit special...”

Before finishing the sentence, he felt a tightness in his hand, as the witch’s hand on the gun body suddenly exerted force, pulling the charm gun into her arms. This made the young man feel a bit displeased, and a bit uneasy.

After all, he was still on the battlefield, and that charm gun was the only thing that gave him a sense of safety.

But as a companion, and a pretty witch at that, snatching away the charm gun for a look seemed not to be a big deal. The young man thought this way while reaching for his waist, where his other short gun was still hanging.

His right hand grabbed at empty air.

”Are you looking for this?” The purple-haired witch raised her other hand, chuckled, and waved it in front of the young man. A silver Colt Python hung on her index finger.

”Huh? Yes, yes.” Zheng Qing looked down in amazement at the empty belt, then looked up again at the suddenly appearing three charm guns and several jade pendants in the witch’s hand, with a hint of bewilderment in his eyes.

Is this an Empty Child lineage wizard?!

And, three charm guns?

Where did the third one come from?

The next second, Jiang Yu’s slightly panicked voice answered the question lingering in the young man’s heart: ”Where are my charm gun... and amulet?”

The purple-haired witch looked at the two young wizards and the Black Cat in front suddenly bristling, smiling amiably: ”Of course they’re gone... such dangerous things, let Sister keep them for you.”

Before she could finish her words, her slender fingers slightly tightened, and the three charm guns, along with the few ornate jade pendants, completely vanished in a blinding light.
