High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1729: Chapter 473 Disagreement

Boom!

With the proclamation of the Great Druid, the gray barrier shrouding the ruins shattered with a crash. Golden-red sunlight once again splashed over the broken blue bricks and charred ground. Six massive figures rose from the ground, obscuring the sunlight and casting a dark shadow across the ruins.

It was as if a signal had been given.

The Mist Captain laughed wildly, transforming into a gray-white giant snake, lunging towards Dean Atlas, who was closest. The other sea demons and the two Witch Demons also moved simultaneously.

”You’ve crossed the line!”

Sun Qi, Dean of Starry Sky Academy, punched Captain Iceberg flying and shouted fiercely, ”Those two Black Mountain Goats are still on the battlefield! They are enemies of our world!”

Whether wizard or demon, although there are essential differences in their lives, the magic paths they tread are similar. Both use the small to see the big, forging their true form at the advanced wizard stage, breaking through the legend, transcending dimensions to evolve worlds, and becoming ancient wizards who start to make reductions to emptiness, continuously discarding everything they extract from the universe, hiding their self, and acquiring new spiritual machine feedback from other dimensions to continuously expand and enlarge the universe.

Those who embark on the Starry Sky Path, the Outer Gods, greedily seize everything—from matter to energy, to spirit—their magic path is using the big to see the small, achieving their power by seizing and devouring everything. They even do not hesitate to reveal their true form before ordinary lives, allowing their vast, almost starlight-like dazzling ’information’ to spread throughout the entire universe.

This is also the initial reason for many ancient legends’ ’cannot look directly at gods,’ because the endless knowledge revealed by those Outer Gods can drive the most rational brain insane and twist the most simple life.

The ’travelers’ of the two roads are easy to distinguish.

Because the Outer Gods on the Starry Sky Path will cause their ’self-concept’ to inflate to an unparalleled degree due to their continuous plundering of the spiritual machines. The true form of an Outer God in the Legendary Realm has already surpassed ordinary planets. Top-tier Outer Gods, such as Azathoth, ’His body is composed of all visible bright stars in the universe, yet his appearance is shrouded in darkness,’ besides the vast and boundless universe, nowhere else can accommodate their existence.

This is also why they form an unbreakable bond with words such as ’starry sky.’

Conversely, the true form of orthodox wizards, no matter how massive, will remain controllable within a certain range and can stealthily hide in special small worlds through secret techniques.

The paths are so different—completely contrasting—that the contradictions between the travelers on the two great roads are irreconcilable.

In comparison, the blood feud between wizards and demons is nothing more than a difference between eating and not eating, intolerable under general morality but can be compromised under greater rationality. Like ordinary people tolerating cannibalism in years of famine, the cannibals and the eaten lived peacefully under the same sun throughout history, not novel at all.

Ordinary wizards and ordinary demons may not understand the subtlety within.

However, for Great Wizards or Great Demons, they can possess this unspoken tacit understanding. And today, on the Black Prison Battlefield, the Mist Captain broke this tacit understanding.

”Hahaha, cross the line? Who set the boundaries for us?”

The Mist Captain laughed, his massive figure almost obscuring half of the sky, with an aura that made many wizards on the battlefield weak-limbed, his voice like thunder, each word heavily pounding into the minds of the Great Wizards: ”This is war! All-out war!!”

The sound waves spread outwards like a hurricane in all directions.

Above, the endless light from the two suns scattered also became twisted under this madness.

In the distance, the Great Wizards on the Black Prison Outfield Battlefield heard this declaration and angrily rebuked the sea demons for their outrage while even the Dark Beasts allied with the demons showed slight discontent to some extent.

...

When the demons launched their attack again.

In front of the ruins, the Dark Council Members who just appeared did not immediately make a move.

They merely observed the entire battlefield with scrutinizing eyes, assessing the progress of the war between wizards and demons, analyzing the extent of the Black Prison Castle’s destruction—of course, and more importantly, spying on the reality of the inner castle guards and whether the fruit on that Ancient Tree within the inner castle was ripe for picking.

The other three deans gave their all, holding back the devastation from the four Great Sea Demons and two Great Witch Demons.

Only Dean Yao was left to face the suddenly arriving Dark Council Members. Fortunately, he had three heads and four pairs of hands, enough to avoid being overwhelmed when facing the six Dark Council Members.

Of course, not making a move would be best.

”Other choices.”

Professor Yao’s indifferent face showed a hint of contemplation, his gaze sliding over the Rat Immortal and the Mi-go, then glanced at the two Black Mountain Goat cubs almost clinging to each other not far away, with a bit more consideration in his eyes: ”What are you planning?”

Seems like he guessed the Professor’s unease.

Druid High Priest Sekber waved his hand, pointing to the Mi-go, denying: ”It’s just an accident. We didn’t plan to venture into the starry sky... The school or the Alliance can rest assured on this point.”

”But it’s said that there are beings from the starry sky in the Dark Council.” Professor Yao still showed sufficient caution.

”Most of the Dark Council members are beings living in the cracks of this world.” The Druid High Priest did not directly answer the Professor’s question but rather sighed heavily:

”There are also many beings in the starry sky, but they have just set foot on that road. They are like wild grass on a wall, might fall into the courtyard or blow out onto the street. The past is already determined, but the future is endless... Who can fully confirm anything?”

”If great wizards like you live in the cracks, wouldn’t the wizards in North Beita Town have no place to settle?” Professor Yao’s compassionate face turned around and whispered.

”North District? Those North District Mages?”

The Great Druid frowned slightly, then relaxed: ”Indeed. The fallen Druid Order and those North District Mages, what difference is there... If there were more choices, no one would want to be the third party beyond wizards and demons.”

”So what have you actually chosen!” Professor Yao’s angry face turned around, roaring at Master Sekbo.

The Druid High Priest tilted his head slightly, his gaze falling on the edge of the ruins, on several small figures clustered together.

”It’s a Forbidden Curse, Professor.”

He withdrew his gaze, answering calmly: ”Besides wizards and demons, the world now has a third power possessing a Forbidden Curse... We have chosen to provide enough security guarantee for those existing in the cracks, who are neither wizards nor demons.”

”This will make the world a better place.”
