Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 591: Chapter 317: Your Wish Is About to Come True (First Update)

Ryan Sheldon returned to the lounge next to Ruby Sheldon’s hospital room and pulled Betty along.

Betty quickly glanced in the direction of Ruby Sheldon’s hospital room and asked softly, ”What’s up? Heading back now? How’s your sister doing?”

”Don’t worry about her,” Ryan snorted. ”She’s so unfriendly to you, and yet you still speak up for her. She doesn’t deserve such a good sister-in-law like you!”

Betty: ”...”

How did it come to ”sister-in-law” already?

Betty felt uncomfortable hearing the term ”sister-in-law,” instantly thinking her ”ultimate classy persona” had dropped a few levels.

Not to mention, she hadn’t planned on marrying Ryan Sheldon...

With the Sheldon’s being such a top-tier family, and Ruby being a princess-like little sister-in-law, along with parents like Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon, she feared that over time, her ”ultimate classy persona” might get exposed, leading to disastrous consequences.

Betty coughed lightly, got into Ryan’s car, and said with a reserved smile, while smoothing her hair, ”Ryan, as long as we’re always in love, it’s great. Whether we marry or not is inconsequential.”

Her gaze was full of emotion and her voice sweet as honey, making Ryan feel she had hit the nail right on the head.

He too was a person moved by emotions. Having been abroad for many years, he understood well that a marriage certificate means nothing.

With good feelings, you can be more loving than most couples without marrying.

With bad feelings, even if you’re married, you can end up as strangers...

He excitedly grabbed Betty’s hand, brought it to his lips, and kissed the back of her hand, saying, ”Betty, I know you care about me as a person! But I must marry you! If we don’t, I fear other men will take you away!”

Betty sneered inwardly, thinking, ”Is my name Betty for nothing?”

In the beginning, if it weren’t for him being a Sheldon, would Betty be swayed by his clumsy pursuit tactics?

Of course, even though she complained inside, she also realized that the more she interacted with Ryan, the more she found his goodness surpassed the attraction of the Sheldon family to her.

Betty, habitually maintaining her persona, insincerely comforted Ryan, ”I know you’re great. If you weren’t a Sheldon, I might even be happier.”

Unexpectedly, Ryan hugged her tight, his voice trembling with excitement, saying, ”I knew you were my soulmate! You think just like me!”

”Do you know? I just offended my sister. My mom told me to get lost, my dad threatened to cancel my trust fund! I’m about to not be a Sheldon anymore!”

”Your wish is soon coming true!”

Betty: ”!!!”

Whoa!

Lawrence Winters was right!

You can eat recklessly, but not talk irresponsibly!

Because the things you say can really come true!!!

Betty was so upset that she could hardly maintain her persona.

However, Ryan looked at her with joy and even lowered his head to kiss her lips.

Boom!

The impact was too strong.

Betty’s mind was a mess, soon kissing Ryan made her lose sense of time.

That night, Betty went to Ryan’s apartment and didn’t leave.

...

After Ryan left the hospital, Autumn Stetford softly advised Aiden Sheldon, ”...Aiden, don’t be too harsh on Ryan. He’s so rebellious, I fear he’ll really cause trouble...”

”If he causes trouble, we’ll sever the father-son relationship,” Aiden Sheldon said coldly. ”What’s the use of having such a son? Clearly, everything he eats, drinks, and plays is funded by the family, yet he has the face to argue independence with us. Let’s talk when he can pay all his expenses himself.”

Seeing Aiden was truly angry, Autumn didn’t push further.

She decided to secretly support Ryan, to prevent him from being cut off completely by Aiden and suffering financially.

The long night passed, the couple sat chatting in Ruby’s room.

Seeing she couldn’t speak for Ryan, Autumn mentioned Betty, whom Ryan brought back today, saying, ”Aiden, how do you find Miss Xi?”

Aiden scrolled on his phone, casually replying, ”She’s quite articulate, and capable, but she’s treating Ryan better than Lawrence.”

Autumn couldn’t help but laugh, ”Isn’t that normal? She’s Ryan’s girlfriend, not Lawrence’s friend. If she were nicer to Lawrence than Ryan, then I’d worry she might have ulterior motives.”

Aiden glanced at her but said nothing more, continuing to look at his phone.

Autumn added, ”Anyway, Ryan isn’t the heir. His wife just needs good character, a clean family background, high intelligence, and decent looks. I have no demands.”
