Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 559: Chapter 300: Each Has Their Own Destiny (Third Update)

Summer Spencer’s face darkened, and she was about to step out from behind the emcee to reclaim her moment in the spotlight.

Cameron Spencer seemed to have eyes on the back of his head, suddenly turned his head, and looked calmly in her direction.

That look carried no emotion but an immense pressure.

Summer Spencer instantly cowered, not daring to make any more small movements.

Standing next to her, Blake Leaf also felt Cameron Spencer’s intimidation and immediately stood up straight, not daring to look around.

As Cameron Spencer withdrew his gaze, Nick Zeller had already brought Lawrence Winters to the base of the altar.

The seats for him and Lawrence Winters were at the front table on the left.

Cameron Spencer then stepped forward, leaned towards the microphone, and said with a smile, ”Great Heavenly Master Zeller is a very capable person. The real estate foundations he manages all have outstanding Feng Shui and sell exceedingly well.”

”As everyone knows, our Spencer Group started in real estate. Although we are currently transitioning, real estate remains our top priority.”

”Today, I take this occasion to announce a decision by our Spencer Group’s board of directors to appoint Great Heavenly Master Nick Zeller as our Chief Feng Shui Master for the Spencer Group’s external business department!”

Saying this, Cameron Spencer gestured, and a staff member jogged out from backstage, handing a certificate with a gold-embossed red cover to Cameron Spencer.

Cameron Spencer beamed as he looked at Nick Zeller at the base of the altar.

Nick Zeller also looked up at Cameron Spencer with a smile, showing no sign that the two had exchanged several glances.

Lawrence Winters nudged Nick Zeller discreetly and said with a smile, ”Master, this is a good thing.”

Nick Zeller snapped out of it, nodded, and strode up to the altar, standing beside Cameron Spencer to receive the gold-embossed red certificate from him.

He also spoke into the microphone, saying, ”I’m delighted to receive the appointment from the Spencer Group. From now on, our Zeller’s Master Feng Shui Office will establish a strategic partnership with the Spencer Group. We are sure to grow and progress together!”

He raised the certificate like it was an Oscar statuette.

Lawrence Winters was below the stage, struggling to suppress his laughter.

Nick Zeller stepped down from the altar and sat at the table on the left with Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters had just sat down when a slender, clean hand reached over, handing her a glass of coconut juice, and said with a smile, ”Drink some coconut juice first, it will warm your stomach.”

Lawrence Winters looked up, overjoyed to see it was Kenneth Osborne.

”Ken, when did you get here? How come I didn’t see you earlier?” Lawrence Winters lowered her voice.

Kenneth Osborne smiled and said, ”I got here a little bit before you. I was going to call you, but then I saw the Spencer family went to pick you up, so I didn’t.”

In this setting, the two maintained propriety, without displaying overt intimacy.

After sitting down, Nick Zeller snorted and muttered, ”...That old sly fox.”

Lawrence Winters turned around to comfort him, saying, ”Uncle, you’re not exactly a pushover yourself.”

Nick Zeller glared at her, ”...Is this how you comfort people?!”

”But you did stand your ground!” Lawrence Winters patted Nick Zeller’s shoulder earnestly, ”They say they’re appointing you as the department’s chief Feng Shui master, but you turned it into a mutually beneficial collaboration with our Master Feng Shui Office. That’s a significant difference! — In any case, our Zeller’s Master Feng Shui Office might even go public and ring the bell someday!”

Pfft—!

Kenneth Osborne couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing.

Nick Zeller didn’t want to keep scolding his apprentice and turned his anger to Kenneth Osborne, ”Why are you laughing? Are you looking down on us Feng Shui practitioners?! I tell you, if I set my mind to it, I could actually take our Master Feng Shui Office public!”

Lawrence Winters was thrilled, eagerly clutching Nick Zeller’s arm and asking, ”Master! Can we really go public? Can you really turn our family business into a publicly traded company?!”

Nick Zeller took a sip of the red wine in front of him, scoffing dismissively, ”You believed my bragging. — Even if I wanted to, the securities commission wouldn’t agree!”

Lawrence Winters instantly deflated like a punctured balloon, even hanging her head down.

Kenneth Osborne poured her another glass of almond milk and added a couple of pieces of pastry.

Lawrence Winters had no appetite and didn’t eat at all.

Just then, the Spencer family hotel’s chef brought out the prepared dishes, and the staff began serving the food.

In the midst of the chaotic dining atmosphere, Blake Leaf and Summer Spencer began exchanging rings on the altar.

A blond, blue-eyed priest in a black robe was smiling as he asked the usual questions.
