Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 573: Chapter 307: My Reverse Scale (Second Update)

Lawrence Winters didn’t want to pay any attention to Aiden Sheldon, intending to walk past as if she hadn’t heard him.

Kenneth Osborne, however, grabbed her hand, ”Nora... wait a minute.”

”Ken, no need. Who knows what malice that person is hiding.” Lawrence Winters felt extremely negative toward Aiden Sheldon and didn’t want any involvement with him.

If they accepted his video, they’d inevitably owe him a favor.

As a Heavenly Master, they were most concerned with karma.

She didn’t want to get entangled in karma with Aiden Sheldon.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t have those concerns. Even if he knew about her ”karma” thoughts, he would dismiss them.

He simply held Lawrence Winters’ hand, imploring, ”Nora, let me go find him. I don’t want to delay us getting the marriage certificate. Your grandmaster calculated an auspicious time, we can’t waste it.”

His eyes were incredibly moving, ”Nora, I really want to marry you.”

In a man’s sweet talk, ”I want to marry you” is absolutely what a woman loves to hear the most, bar none.

Lawrence Winters was no exception; she suddenly found herself unable to move forward.

Kenneth Osborne slightly smiled, squeezed her hand, then turned back to Aiden Sheldon’s car, finding the rear window already rolled down.

Kenneth Osborne bent down by the rear window and said with a smile, ”Thank you, Mr. Sheldon. If there’s an opportunity, I will treat you to a meal.”

Aiden Sheldon waved his phone, ”Call that traffic officer over, I’ll explain to him.”

This meant acting as a witness, which was even better than the video.

Kenneth Osborne was overjoyed and quickly called the traffic officer over.

Aiden Sheldon first sent the recorded video to the traffic officer and then said, ”We all three saw it just now. Those two drivers indeed initiated the conflict. And that BMW also indeed saved the person riding the motorcycle. My video is relatively long, including the earlier part with the motorcyclist.”

The traffic officer was very pleased and said, ”Thank you. May I have your contact information? This needs to be included in my report.”

Aiden Sheldon instructed the bodyguard in the front, ”Give him my business card.”

The bodyguard in the front quickly pulled out Aiden Sheldon’s business card and handed it over.

The phone and email address on it were all managed by Aiden Sheldon’s executive office, unrelated to him personally.

Seeing it was from the Sheldon Consortium, the traffic officer immediately showed respect and took the testimony even more seriously.

After all, as the nation’s wealthiest, who would have the ability to buy him off for false testimony?

With Aiden Sheldon as a witness, along with his video, the charges of ”intentional harm” against Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne were quickly cleared.

Instead, the two drivers were suspected of initiating the attack and, after being sent to the hospital for examination, might bear further responsibility.

Lawrence Winters’ responsibility was primarily for the rear-end traffic accident, and the large truck behind also shared responsibility for rear-ending.

After exchanging insurance information, the traffic officer let Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne go.

Unfortunately, Lawrence Winters’ car could no longer be driven, so Kenneth Osborne called a tow truck company to tow away her car for repairs.

”No car to drive, let’s take a taxi.” Lawrence Winters took out her phone and opened the taxi app to call a car.

At that moment, Aiden Sheldon’s car door opened, and his bodyguard came out to say to Kenneth Osborne, ”Mr. Osborne, our Mr. Sheldon said he could give you a ride. Where do you need to go?”

Kenneth Osborne thought that even if they could hail a taxi at this time, there was no telling how long it would take to arrive. He really didn’t want to miss the auspicious time.

He wasn’t superstitious, but the day’s events made him uneasy, so he also sought peace of mind, hoping to make it to the Civil Affairs Bureau and get the marriage certificate within the auspicious time.

Looking at his watch, there were forty-five minutes until ten o’clock.

He made a quick decision and nodded, ”Thank you, Mr. Sheldon. We will take you up on that offer.”

Kenneth Osborne walked over and pulled Lawrence Winters along, saying, ”Mr. Sheldon kindly offered us a ride. Don’t call a taxi.”

Lawrence Winters really didn’t want to ride in Aiden Sheldon’s car and pouted, ”Let’s just hail a taxi... Owing too many favors, I’m afraid I won’t be able to repay them...”

”A taxi might not make it in time.” Kenneth Osborne almost pleaded with her, ”Just this once, will you listen to me? Taking Mr. Sheldon’s car, we can make it to the Civil Affairs Bureau on time. Don’t you really care about the auspicious time?”

Of course, Lawrence Winters cared, but she didn’t want to owe Aiden Sheldon any favors even more.

Yet, all of this was outweighed by Kenneth Osborne’s plea.

He really had never humbled himself to beg her like this.

Lawrence Winters’ heart softened, nodded, and said, ”Alright, I’m agreeing because of you, Ken. But I’m not owing Mr. Sheldon any favors.”
