Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 590: Chapter 316: Relying on Yourself Is Better Than Relying on Others (Second Update)

This was also something Ryan Sheldon was puzzled about. He pondered: ”...Getting so angry that it blinds you, what does that have to do with the immune system?”

”Saying this, I don’t think it’s a problem with the immune system.” Betty tried to be as objective as possible, ”Maybe it’s another illness.”

Ryan Sheldon thought for a while but couldn’t figure it out.

However, he was not one to get stuck on details, and he quickly shrugged it off, saying: ”Anyway, we have the best doctors in the world, they always know how to treat her. It’s not like it’s a terminal disease.”

Betty appreciated this quality in Ryan Sheldon, and she praised him with a smile: ”You’re right, we should have faith in science and the doctors.”

In Ruby Sheldon’s ward, several doctors in white coats walked in quickly, followed by a long string of young interns and nurses.

”Mr. Sheldon, Mrs. Sheldon, hello.” The leading doctor was the head of the hospital.

Autumn Stetford and Aiden Sheldon didn’t move, they just nodded to these people.

Autumn Stetford politely said: ”Thank you all, when will my daughter’s situation improve?”

”Miss Sheldon has a temporary blood function disorder, affecting the blood supply to the brain, so she is experiencing blindness. It’s nothing serious; we’re arranging a blood transfusion for her.” The head brought out Ruby Sheldon’s recent CT records and showed them to Autumn Stetford and Aiden Sheldon.

Aiden Sheldon just glanced at it and said: ”If there’s not enough blood, you can draw mine.”

When Ruby Sheldon was still a baby, she frequently visited the hospital. At that time, Aiden himself donated blood to Ruby.

”Our blood bank has enough blood.” The head quickly said, ”It was just unclear earlier, so we didn’t rush to transfuse her.”

As he spoke, he stepped aside, and a few nurses came forward, holding blood bags, preparing to transfuse Ruby.

Autumn Stetford and Aiden Sheldon stood together, watching the nurses operate skillfully.

It wasn’t long before the blood bag was secured, and a needle was inserted into Ruby’s arm.

Autumn Stetford walked to Aiden Sheldon’s side, her voice very husky: ”Aiden, will Betty be alright?”

”She will be fine, I won’t let anything happen to her.” Aiden Sheldon’s tone was very decisive and powerful, with an unparalleled sense of control.

Autumn Stetford lightly said ”Hmm,” whispering: ”If anything happens to Betty, I’ll kick that second kid out of the house!”

”Him? Kicking him out is too lenient!” Aiden Sheldon snorted, ”This beating is light. When Betty is better, I’ll give that brat a good lesson!”

Autumn Stetford quickly nodded, agreeing: ”He should be taught a lesson. Betty is a lifelong responsibility for the two brothers. When we’re gone, they need to take care of Betty just like we do. I can’t stand seeing Betty suffer any grievance.”

Aiden Sheldon took a deep breath and said: ”No way, our Betty won’t suffer any grievances!”

He held Autumn Stetford’s hand, looked down at her, and said sincerely: ”Thank you for giving me this precious daughter. She’s my spiritual pillar.”

Autumn Stetford smiled and said: ”We’re husband and wife, why say such things? Betty isn’t just my spiritual pillar, she’s my most beloved treasure. I won’t let anyone or anything hurt her even a little.”

Ruby Sheldon lay quietly on the hospital bed, having just been administered a sedative, now in a state of deep sleep, unaware of what was happening.

In the adjoining rest room of the ward, Betty sat with Ryan Sheldon for a while.

The door to the rest room was open, and she watched a group of doctors in white coats come and go. Later, a few nurses also left Ruby Sheldon’s room.

She nudged Ryan Sheldon, ”Ryan, go check on your sister again. I hope she’s alright.”

Ryan Sheldon nodded, a bit intimidated by Aiden Sheldon, but still more concerned about his sister, so he braced himself and went in.

This time when he went in, he found an additional rack beside Ruby’s bed, with a bag of blood hanging on it, being transfused into her.

”...Another transfusion?” Ryan Sheldon said awkwardly, ”Should we call Big Brother back to donate blood for her, he did that when Betty was little too.”

He and Autumn Stetford have the same blood type, type A, while his big brother Nathan Sheldon has the same blood type as Ruby and Aiden, type B.

”The hospital has a blood bank now, and Betty’s grown up, she can use other people’s blood.” Autumn Stetford waved her hand, somewhat tiredly saying: ”For now, there’s no need for your brother or your father’s blood. You be careful, don’t make your sister angry again.”

Unexpectedly, Ryan Sheldon scratched his head, awkwardly saying: ”...As long as Betty doesn’t target Bianca, of course I won’t...”

”This is just like you!” Autumn Stetford wanted to put her foot down, even considering making Ryan break up with Bianca, but seeing her son like this, she feared provoking his rebellious side, leading him to find a foreign woman to marry. She wouldn’t even have tears to cry.

The palm and the back of the hand are both flesh, she couldn’t push Ryan Sheldon too much.

”Get lost, and don’t come back when there’s nothing to do, so Betty won’t get angry seeing you.” Autumn Stetford glared at Ryan Sheldon and chased him away.

Aiden Sheldon was even harsher than Autumn Stetford, he said coldly: ”If there’s a next time, your entire trust fund will be canceled, find a job and support yourself, don’t expect a penny from me.”

Ryan Sheldon was a bit flustered.

If his trust fund was gone, how could he continue racing?

Even fueling up would become a problem, let alone maintaining the car!

But he didn’t plead with Aiden Sheldon to make an exception, he just clenched his fist and vowed: ”I will become the best race car driver! Then I’ll earn money to support myself!”

He was really fed up with his family using his trust fund to threaten him at every turn.

”Huh.” Aiden Sheldon disdainfully turned his gaze away, ”You, become the best race car driver? Have you ever seen someone at twenty-seven not even in the top fifty of the rankings?”

Ryan Sheldon was infuriated: ”I have found the best mentor! I will definitely win the championship!”

He needed to contact Lawrence Winters immediately and get the race car training back on schedule!
