Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 563: Chapter 302: Sowing Discord (Second Update—Recommendation Ticket +)

Inside the exhibition center, Lawrence Winters returned to his seat from the table of the ”Three Billion Sister” and found that Kenneth Osborne was no longer there.

”Uncle, where’s Kenneth?” Lawrence sat down and drank some coconut juice.

Just now, she had eaten an entire plate of crab meat at the Three Billion Sister’s side.

That Ryan Sheldon was quite attentive, saying he wanted to learn racing from her and offered to peel crabs for her, of course, he also peeled a big plate for the Three Billion Sister.

Nick Zeller blinked with a smile, ”He went out a moment ago, not sure if he answered a call or received a text, but he went out anyway.”

Lawrence nodded, not caring, and carefully put some foie gras mushrooms on her plate and ate them.

Foie gras is basically just a lump of fat, which she doesn’t particularly like, but the mushrooms soaked in foie gras were exceptionally delicious.

...

On the square, Blake Leaf rolled around for a while, sat up from the ground, glared at Kenneth Osborne and Spring Spencer, bared his teeth, wanting to say something harsh.

But thinking of Summer Spencer and Cameron Spencer, he bit his teeth and held back.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

These two despicable people will get their comeuppance sooner or later.

Blake Leaf stood up, holding his injured hand, and walked back to the venue.

He had to go back and explain to Summer Spencer, to cover this up, otherwise how could he explain how his hand got so severely injured all of a sudden?

He still had to go to the hospital...

Blake Leaf returned to his seat with a pale face and found Summer Spencer was talking with her mother, Hazel Winchester, and Cameron Spencer’s ex-wife Ruby Rayner.

They were deeply engaged in conversation, not realizing he had gone out and returned.

Blake Leaf held back his anger, gently nudged Summer Spencer, and whispered, ”Summer, I accidentally tripped outside just now. When I fell, I tried to support myself with my hand and ended up breaking my finger.”

Saying this, he showed a bit of his broken finger to Summer Spencer.

Summer Spencer was startled, covering her mouth, ”You should go to the hospital! What good is it showing me? I’m not a doctor!”

Blake Leaf pursed his lips, nodding with an awkward smile, ”I was worried you’d be concerned... just letting you know, I’m going to the hospital now.”

With that, he nodded to the people at the table, got up, and walked out.

But after walking a while, he turned back, approached Lawrence Winters and his table, and said, ”Lawrence Winters, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Keep a close eye on your man, or he might get stolen right under your nose.”

With that, he turned and left.

Lawrence Winters had a mouthful of foie gras, slippery and greasy, and immediately felt nauseated.

She struggled to swallow the foie gras, looked up, and saw Blake Leaf walking away.

But just now, she glanced at Blake Leaf’s face and noticed his complexion was ashen, with fine beads of sweat on his forehead and red at the corners of his eyes, indicating he had suffered a serious misfortune...

Watching Blake Leaf’s receding figure, Lawrence Winters asked Nick Zeller, ”Uncle, how long has Kenneth been out?”

”A few minutes, I guess?” Nick Zeller said casually, occasionally checking his phone.

Lawrence Winters sat anxiously for a while.

Kenneth Osborne still hadn’t returned.

She felt restless, her heart uneasy, wanting to see Kenneth Osborne immediately, right now.

She put down her chopsticks, pulled a napkin from the table, and wiped her mouth, ”I’ll be right back.”

Nick Zeller snorted, ”Go ahead, don’t go too far.”

Lawrence Winters nodded and quickly walked out of the venue.

...

Outside the venue, after Blake Leaf left, Spring Spencer quietly picked up her bag and said to Kenneth Osborne again, ”Mr. Osborne, thank you.”

Her expression was gloomy, her nose a bit red, her eyes not large but very bright, just with wet corners, suggesting she had held back tears.

Kenneth Osborne thought she was still regretting about Blake Leaf and Summer Spencer’s matter and tried to console her, ”Actually, someone like Blake Leaf isn’t really a good person. Him leaving you is your luck.”

Spring Spencer was silent for a moment, then said quietly, ”I know. I just hope he doesn’t go too far. Eating from one bowl while looking at another. Wanting more than he can handle, he should first see if he has the capability of someone like Stevens.”

The situation was indeed very awkward.

Kenneth Osborne couldn’t help but ask, ”Does your father know about you and Blake Leaf?”

Spring Spencer replied, ”Do you think there’s anything in my family that my father wouldn’t know?”

”Mr. Spencer knows you dated Blake Leaf and still agreed for him to marry your sister?” Kenneth Osborne found it somewhat amusing, ”Your wealthy families really are beyond us ordinary people’s understanding.”

Spring Spencer laughed lightly, ”In our kind of families, this sort of thing isn’t really significant. In higher circles than ours, I know of a sister-in-law who divorced her brother and then immediately married his younger brother. Doesn’t that kind of relationship seem awkward to you?”
