Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 572: Chapter 306: You’re Pretty, So You’re Right (Part 2)

Then the traffic officer first came to the man doing the splits and said, ”Sir, can you stand up and talk?”

The man’s eyes were swollen from tears—not because he wanted to cry, but because he couldn’t control his tear glands.

Crying is an emergency reaction that can relieve pain when the body is in pain.

He sobbed, ”You, you, you... do you think I don’t want to stand up?! I just can’t stand up!”

Traffic officer: ”...So how did you end up in the splits position?”

The man was furious and couldn’t help but swear, ”Do you think I wanted to do the splits?! That damn girl made me do them!”

”Obviously, you wanted to sneak attack me! You kicked me from behind! When I dodged, you couldn’t control your balance and fell on your own doing the splits!”

”You’re lying! Clearly, it was your man who pinned me to the ground and made me do the splits!”

”You’re lying! You fell doing the splits yourself and wanted to keep attacking me! My fiancé acted to save me!”

”You...!”

The traffic officer saw these two arguing endlessly, headache brewing, and tried stopping them before asking the man lying on the ground holding a wrench.

”Sir, can you stand up and talk?”

The truck driver had been worked over so thoroughly by Kenneth Osborne that his arms were like noodles, unable to lift, otherwise he wouldn’t be clutching the wrench.

This wrench was shoved into his arms by Kenneth Osborne, and he didn’t even have the strength to throw it away.

Now seeing the police arrive, he was just like seeing his family, immediately bursting into tears, ”Officer, you have to give me justice! I was driving just fine! These two villains not only cut me off but maliciously slowed down, forcing me to crash into their car!”

”And that’s not all! They beat me! Look! They beat me so bad I can’t even stand!”

Lawrence Winters said coldly, ”Yeah, you were holding a big wrench when we beat you and can’t stand, so pitiful!”

The traffic officer glanced at her, then still asked the truck driver, ”What’s with the wrench?”

”I was fixing my truck! Fixing my truck!”

”You were fixing your truck with a wrench while driving? If you’re that skilled, why don’t you publicly perform ’pulling a truck with one hand’?” Lawrence retorted sarcastically, unable to release her pent-up frustration.

The truck driver couldn’t speak as well as Lawrence Winters, and couldn’t hold up his pitiful act in front of the officer, shouting, ”What’s wrong with me wanting to use a wrench?! What evidence do you have proving I hit you?! On the contrary, I was beaten to the ground by you, unable to get up! You’ll have to compensate for my lost wages and medical expenses!”

”I’ll compensate your head!” Lawrence wished she could step up and stomp him again.

Unfortunately, her dashcam didn’t record what happened in the emergency lane after the crash.

She was anxious when Kenneth suddenly said, ”There’s a car over there that’s been parked by the roadside from the start; they should have seen what happened, let’s ask them to be witnesses.”

The traffic officer turned around and saw a very luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Lawrence Winters had already run over.

She approached the Rolls-Royce Phantom, pleading to the two men seated in the front, ”Gentlemen, you must have seen what just happened, could you please be witnesses for us?”

”It’s about those two drivers getting out and attempting to assault us, could you please be witnesses for us?”

She clasped her hands together, her face full of worry, begging the people inside the car.

The driver and bodyguard seated in the front couldn’t help but look back at Aiden Sheldon sitting in the rear.

They had seen it, but whether they could be witnesses depended on the boss.

Following their gaze, Lawrence saw Aiden Sheldon sitting in the back.

Most importantly, she also saw Aiden Sheldon holding his phone, pointing it her way!

Lawrence’s mind spun rapidly.

Could it be that Aiden recorded that scene?!

If he did, that would be wonderful!

Lawrence’s eyes lit up, eagerly looking at Aiden Sheldon in the backseat, saying, ”Mr. Sheldon, did you record what happened over there earlier?”

Aiden ended his video call with Ruby Sheldon, replying calmly, ”Didn’t record, I was video chatting with my daughter.”

Lawrence: ”...”

Her heart sank but quickly regained her spirit, saying, ”Then those gentlemen in the front must have seen it, could you ask them to be witnesses for us?”

Aiden closed his eyes, leaned back in his seat, and said dully, ”What’s your problem got to do with me? I’m in a hurry. ——Drive.”

The driver in front was ready to hit the accelerator.

Lawrence quickly clung to their side mirror, anxiously saying, ”Mr. Sheldon! I’m begging you! Just have your driver and this gentleman in front be witnesses for us!”

”I’m also in a hurry! Or we’ll miss the auspicious moment!”

”Auspicious moment? What auspicious moment?” Aiden realizing the car hadn’t moved, looked annoyed and opened his eyes, only to see Lawrence clinging to his car’s side mirror.

If they forcefully drove off, they’d inevitably drag Lawrence along.

Despite not caring if Lawrence would get hurt, Aiden couldn’t act too extreme with the police standing by.

Rubbing his temples, Aiden waved his hand, ”Quickly let go, if you get hurt, it’s none of my business.”

Being a witness is voluntary, the traffic officers couldn’t command them.

Hence, the traffic officer just stood aside, watching Lawrence beg the people in the car.

Kenneth Osborne also came over, bent down to look inside the car, nodded, and said, ”Mr. Sheldon, if you and your driver and bodyguard saw what happened earlier, please be a witness for us.”

He hugged Lawrence Winters, gently held her fingers, prying them off one by one from the mirror she was clinging to.

Kenneth continued, ”Mr. Sheldon, today is the day Nora and I are going to register for our marriage certificate. We don’t want to miss the auspicious time, can you accommodate us a little?”

Aiden originally didn’t want to meddle, but upon hearing today was Lawrence Winters’ and Kenneth Osborne’s wedding day, he fell into a bit of a daze.

He looked at the couple outside the car, his expression moody and bewildered.

Kenneth pleaded with him several times, yet Aiden remained silent.

Lawrence couldn’t stand it anymore, tugged on Kenneth’s hand, gritting her teeth, saying, ”Forget it, Kenneth, let’s just go. We’re leaving.”

She tugged Kenneth to turn and leave.

”I did record a video.” Aiden’s voice suddenly came from behind.
