Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 585: Chapter 314: Ups and Downs (Second Update)

”You are our little princess! As long as you’re happy every day, your mom and dad will be satisfied.” Autumn Stetford gently patted Ruby Sheldon’s face, saying lovingly.

Ruby Sheldon continued to act coy, ”Is that all? What if I’m unhappy someday?”

Aiden Sheldon added, ”If you’re unhappy, we’ll make others unhappy, especially those who made you unhappy.”

”Mom and Dad, you’re so good to me!” Ruby’s eyes lit up as she nodded vigorously, ”Actually, most people are pretty nice to me. For those few who make me unhappy, I’ll just ignore them. There’s no need for you to make them unhappy. As long as I live well, that’ll make them envious, jealous, and hateful.”

Autumn Stetford raised an eyebrow and said with a slight smile, ”Our Betty is just too kind-hearted. A person like Lawrence Winters always goes against you; completely ignoring her won’t work. Right, Aiden?”

As she spoke, she looked at Aiden Sheldon.

Aiden shrugged indifferently, ”If she provokes us on purpose, naturally we’ll have to deal with her.”

Ruby Sheldon blinked and quickly said, ”Then I just won’t see her in the future. She’ll have no chance to provoke me first.”

Autumn Stetford glanced at her watch casually and said, ”Why isn’t Ryan here yet?”

Then she added, ”Betty, your second brother will bring your future sister-in-law to dinner this time. Are you excited?”

”Future sister-in-law? Who is it?” Ruby was visibly surprised, ”Could it be Sister Lawrence?! Second brother has been singing her praises lately!”

Autumn Stetford’s expression became a bit strained, her finely-groomed eyebrows furrowed, ”Who did you say?! How is it Lawrence Winters again?!”

Aiden Sheldon also looked at Ruby, slightly surprised, ”...The girl Ryan is pursuing is Lawrence Winters? That’s impossible, isn’t she already married?”

Autumn Stetford got even more upset, slamming her napkin onto the table, she said sarcastically, ”That’s quite a skill, already married, yet still coming to meet the family with another man. Does she take us for fools?”

Ruby quickly said, ”Mom, I was just guessing. Maybe it’s not her? But aside from praising Sister Lawrence, I haven’t heard Second Brother praise any other girl at home.”

”So, it’s highly likely to be Lawrence Winters... No wonder he didn’t even mention her name, was he planning to ’surprise’ us?!” Autumn said, remembering something, and looked at Aiden Sheldon, ”How do you know Lawrence Winters is already married?”

They always said they’re not from the same social circle, yet how did Aiden Sheldon know about such a major event like her marriage?

Autumn Stetford frowned slightly, almost imperceptibly.

Her natural brows were actually a bit thick, but after grooming, they looked more delicate.

Aiden Sheldon smiled and said, ”It’s a coincidence. That day, their car had an accident on the road, rushing to register, and I happened to be passing by, so I gave them a lift.”

Then he said to Ruby, ”Betty was on a video call with me that day, she saw it too.”

Ruby gasped, ”Oh, I remember now! That President Xiao is Lawrence Winters’ husband! He really looks better and better!”

After saying this, she couldn’t help adding, ”And he’s especially good at fighting! That sort of skill, you can tell was practiced from a young age. —Big Brother and Second Brother should have trained as well, although Second Brother isn’t as strong as Big Brother.”

As the three were talking, Ryan Sheldon came in with Bianca.

Bianca originally didn’t want to come, but Ryan’s invitation was so sincere, and he promised not to put any pressure on her. She couldn’t resist her curiosity, so she came after all.

To not raise her hopes too high, she wore a very ordinary outfit, just from a standard brand, a white silk blouse and grey A-line skirt costing a few hundred, and a Coach bag. The leather lace-up heels were slightly pricey, just over a thousand.

In the Sheldon Family’s eyes, this kind of price was akin to a store’s clearance sale, surely not appealing to them.

Because she wasn’t expecting much, she didn’t feel nervous.

She stood calmly beside Ryan Sheldon, listening to his introduction.

”Bianca, this is my dad, this is my mom, and this is my sister. I have another brother who works outside, is extremely busy, and rarely joins us for meals.”

Ryan Sheldon spoke while pulling out a chair for Bianca to sit.

Bianca politely nodded to the three others, ”Hello, I am Bianca.”

She took a seat next to Ryan Sheldon.

Since they were having foreign cuisine, it was a served meal.

Soon, the waiter pushed a cart over and placed a white, gold-rimmed bone china plate in front of each of them.
