COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

[The other party’s bracelet is damaged and location cannot be queried at the moment.]

New information popped up on the tablet.

???

Hachiman entered Amasawa Ichika’s name again.

’However, second time, message that bracelet was damaged still popped up. It shouldn’t be a system bug. So that means...Amasawa’s plan to gain freedom did not go smoothly. Otherwise, there would be no need to destroy the bracelet. Now, no one knows whether it was broken by herself or by someone else. So, I put the tablet away....’

Then, he looked at Ibuki and Kamuro-san who seemed to not be paying attention.

“Now I’m going to H10 area. I have arranged a skilled person to keep an eye on Yagami Takuya. But, she then lost contact in the area. I’m going to go look for her.....”

“We’ve got today’s points, so you can arrange your day however you want,” Ibuki continued the topic. She still hasn’t come to realization that she got first place.

But still seems a little proud inside.

“The mission I received from Sakayanagi is to follow you all the time. As long as you don’t go back to the starting point, then I can only follow you.” This was intention of Kamuro-san.

This means both are willing to go with him, even not paying attention to his matters, giving a lot of privacy.

“Yeah....” Hachiman nodded.

It seems that his teammates are different from the ones represented by Chairman.

His are all very reliable.

“Chabashira-sensei.”

When Hachiman was about to leave, he returned to a secluded face who seemed to have frowned her eyebrows when saw him coming over again.

“What do you want now?” When Chabashira saw Hikigaya leave and come back, she knew he had no good intentions.

“When is the next time school will send you a message to remind you of your class schedule?”

“....” Chabashira. And it was as if her cell phone was about to leave her.

“This is an illegal operation!” She immediately straightened her face, even she had stuff to do with mobile phones to pass her time like playing Candy Crush.

“I’ll pay the points later. The biggest rule of this school is that you can do anything with points, as long as you have enough points. So I will be allowed to rent your mobile phone now, right?”

“…” Chabashira remained silent.

After a while, he said, ”I don’t have much experience interacting with teachers from other grades, but I happened to meet head teacher of the first-grade D class. He gave me a feeling of being out of place. Apart from that, there are some dangers.”

“This is a feeling that comes out of nowhere. So if you want to do something dangerous, I advise you to think twice!” That’s right, don’t forget Chabashira-sensei is also a cold mouth person who likes to insult others, “Weren’t you able to use the intercom to contact a bunch of your second-year students before? So it shouldn’t be difficult to gather more people and take action, right?”

Her face hardened even more to resemble being a strict person.

“I know. But right now we’re still lacking a first aid kit and a tool to store evidence. Besides, I also hope that nothing will happen,” Hikigaya frowned slightly realising this teacher still wasn’t moving at all.

“I can pass the level 568 you are stuck on. When I was in junior high school, I had a lot of free time to play games and such....My sister introduced me to Candy Crush on her device.”

“Then, I wish you good luck.” Chabashira then immediately handed her cell phone over to Hachiman.

“.....” Kamuro-san. ’This is not professional behaviour at all!’

Even though she wanted to complain, she kept her mouth shut, and her poker face betrayed nothing.

Hikigaya’s group started heading in the direction of H10.

At current speed of movement, and given there is a mountain leading to H10, it will take at least three hours to get there.

So, Amasawa was really awesome as she was able to go directly from E7 area to H9.

Hachiman had seen Koenji flying in the tall trees, and White Room could probably do the same.

But as they were just ordinary people, they had no choice but to travel on foot.

Finally, at 1:30 pm, arrived at the H10 area half an hour earlier than expected.

“This area doesn’t look empty, but--”

Ibuki quickly began her search.

Because according to Hikigaya, he came here to look for someone, and the bracelet of the person he was looking for was broken.

Some are worried about each other’s safety.

Ibuki had already encountered a student from her class in danger, so she was very sensitive to such things.

Start looking everywhere.

However, sun is now high in the sky, and sand on the ground seems a little hot to the feet.

Very quickly.

“By the way, isn’t that a boat?”

And the thief... no, it was Kamuro-san who observed something under the leaves of several palm trees on edge of this island.

Then she walked over and confirmed what was under the palm tree.

It was indeed a small boat.

Moreover, this is equipped with an engine, so no need for anyone to paddle hard, and you can just leave on the boat.

“Logically speaking, this is an uninhabited island, so things like this shouldn’t appear here,” Kamuro-san found it unbelievable.

Hachiman also felt that it was a good idea to bring Chabashira’s cell phone with him.

Anyway, let’s take two photos first.

“Come over here!” Ibuki, who was just looking for traces, suddenly shouted.

Hachiman and Kamuro-san walked over immediately.

“The sand here is different.”

Hachiman looked at the place she pointed to. There were footprints on the sand.

The depth was inconsistent, and there were even signs of a fight.

“There should be two people, one is a girl and the other one should be a man!”

There were two kinds of footprints, and judging by the marks on the shoes, both matched.

Hachiman knew that location should be here. This is where Amasawa should be.

“What are you doing?”

Suddenly a voice came from the woods. The mental state of 3 of Hachiman has reached a high level.

Because there was a senior who was condescending to them, with silver hair....“You seem to be looking for someone.”

“Yes, we are looking for companions. Her bracelet suddenly lost signal in this area. So, we came here together because we were worried about her situation. Senpai is Kiryuin Fuka from Class 3-B.”

“Oh Kouhai, do you know my information?” Raising her eyebrows.

“Yes, I bet on the first place with some hitchhiking prop cards. I didn’t notice it before, but now I feel that presence of you senior now seems to be a bit risky for my bet.”

“What do you mean?” The senior now seemed to be aroused by her curiosity.

“Your ranking has been hovering between eleventh and twelfth. So I was wondering if Senpai was controlling her score and didn’t want to be in the top ten. If on contrary, you aim to be in top three, or even first place, and gives it her all, then is it also possible to really achieve this goal, right?”

“You are so confident in me?” Kiryuin Fuka is now a little surprised.

’Of course. First you come down from the tree.....’ Hachiman had met this senior Kiryuin once before, but at that time he just thought she was strong, a bit like a female version of Koenji.

You can get the title of beautiful Milf-senpai. And now, other party is undoubtedly also a monster.

Not only can she walk on the ground, but can also fly on trees. Lol.

“I need to confirm that you are not the ones who want to harm the person whose bracelet is broken.”

“So, you actually saw something bad?” Hikigaya’s observation ability immediately turned on.

“Yes. I did see some scenes. I saw a Kouhai destroy a walkie-talkie in the H8 area. Plus, I had already scored today, so I had plenty of time. I was a little curious, so I followed....Because this girl has very good physical fitness and will not lose to me. I’m not bragging, but ordinary people can’t keep up with me,” After saying this, Kiryuin immediately changed her subject, “So, how are you going to prove that you are not bad people?”

“Because I’m the other person who’s in contact with her walkie-talkie,” Hachiman took out a black device, “And I’m Vice president of student council. I think you have seen me last year.”

“Is that so?” When she saw Hachiman taking out the walkie-talkie, Kiryuin jumped down from her tree, “I have indeed seen you. President Horikita also thought highly of you at that time. You probably came here because you couldn’t contact Kouhai through the intercom. Then you came to the right place. Her condition is not good.....I was curious so I followed her. Then, she arrived in this area and seemed to be discussing something with a first-grade teacher. Then she took action. She was injured and ran away. And even destroyed the bracelet herself to avoid being trac----”

“So, were you just watching when she was being beaten?” Hachiman asked her with a straight face, as if he is going to issue some kind of penalty on her.

“He’s Vice President of student council.” Kamuro-san provided her own method of backup.

Look, even Ibuki nodded.

“….” Kiryuin. “My life motto is to always maintain an upright character. Do things with integrity. Although I was watching at the time, I don’t think I could have held off the male teacher for long. Maybe I could have bought her a minute at most. And at the time, I considered helping. But there is no need for me to interfere. Because then I discovered that she had been hurt on purpose. Kouhai used her injuries to escape. It means she knew she couldn’t win, so made some mental preparati----”

“So, the reason why you came back here now is...you thought the most dangerous place was the safest, so you thought she might come back here. But now it seems this rule is useless?” Hachiman’s eyes were looking over at a senior called Kiryuin.

“Can you stop doing that? I know I am very beautiful, but I am feeling uncomfortable with your gaze,” Kiryuin seemed to have ruined her mood a little, and feels a bit irritated because this guy only met her now and seemed to have analysed her thoughts so easily.

“....” Hachiman.

At this point, everyone understood.

“A teacher would actually attack a student....” Ibuki and Kamuro-san frowned.

Because Acting chairman just said that he would protect the students’ safety, but this is how he ended up protecting them?

“So can you provide information about the teacher who attacked the students?” Ibuki has a strong sense of justice, and obviously wanted to file a complaint.

“It’s useless to simply comment on my opinion,” But Kiryuin shook her head, “All I can tell you is to avoid teachers wearing blue suits and with bowl cuts.”

Um....It seems that he is indeed head teacher of first-grade D class. At the same time, considering possibility of emergencies, Hachiman got a mobile phone.

You can take photos at any time.

Tablets actually have a camera function, but the clicking sound is so loud that you might be discovered immediately if you take a photo.

The teachers’ cell phones are different.

When he was fooling Hoshinomiya before, Hachiman discovered that the teachers’ cell phones had no sound whether they were taking photos or recording videos.

’It’s just a pity that senpai didn’t have a mobile phone in her hand, otherwise she could have taken pictures. With those photos, head teacher of Class D of Grade 1 would definitely be eliminated in this exam. The number one in White Room cannot be swept away easily, as they represent the face of higher-ups, but you still want to offend them...even have a boat...It seems maybe not everyone has thought so far.’

“Then I’ll leave these supplies to you, senpai,” Hachiman looked at Kamuro-san, who checked it and handed a small backpack.

Hikigaya handed it to Kiryuin, “Although it’s fun to experience the island exam, senpai is just one person. Just like you said, about that Kouhai on your level. So, maybe you should be a little more careful.”

“Hehe——” Kiryuin smiled a bit grimly, but did not refuse.

But in fact she herself felt being looked down upon by Hachiman....’It doesn’t sound like he’s being arrogant either. But just indirectly saying you are...No wonder Nagumo got kicked out and Horikita left with a bad mood’

Considering that teacher of first-grade D class was so perverted, Hachiman and others picked a palm leaf and wiped away all their footprints on the beach.

“In that case, I wonder what the situation is like for that girl...” Kamuro-san is also surprisingly quite gentle.

“GPS can’t be used either,” Ibuki also paid attention.

“Plus she might be injured.....”

“Yes, but the reason we can’t use GPS is because she’s worried about being chased,” Ibuki looked up at the sky.

These girls have gotten along quite well now.

Although the sun is still shining brightly, a dark and creepy cloud has gathered not far away.

Maybe there will be heavy rain tonight or tomorrow.

“Don’t think so pessimistically,” Hachiman provided some comfort, knowing Amasawa must have gotten into a fight only after being extremely calculative.

’She’s from White Room after all, if others are anything like Ayanokoji in my previous class....who seemed to be hanging out with multiple personalities without having any.’
