COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“I didn’t expect that Kushida-senpai was secretly dating Hikigaya-senpai!”

’Good lord!’ Kushida-chan understood quickly. Counterattack is ineffective.

The other party also found out she was dating Hikigaya Hachiman.

It was in order to conceal news of their relationship that she went to his dormitory so early.

So, Kushida-chan immediately called for help.

’Because I knew very well that it was definitely not just my fault that Amasawa Ichika entangled me! I would not do evil to others casually, so I must have been implicated by other people. One of the involved is similar to that dreadful Yagami! He wanted to scam me, threaten me, or ask to do something. Or maybe...it’s because of Hikigaya Hachiman. Because this crappy school girl is in a team with him!’

According to the test results announced today, two-member team only scored 501 points.

And this girl’s academic ability is A.

Kushida didn’t think other party would deliberately give a low score.

Then it can only be Hachiman’s problem. ’You bad school girl, since you feel you have been cheated, then you should go find the real person. Why do you want to find me a mere marriage partner?!’

While waiting for Hachiman to arrive, Kushida-chan took Amasawa Ichika to a dessert shop in order to comfort herself.

“Although I haven’t known you for a long time, you seem to be very interested in food. I often see you tasting all kinds of dishes. And it’s not just about food. It’s like a domesticated kitten being let out into the wild, curious about everything. Was it because you were confined for too long in previous life?” In fact, from point of view, Amasawa still likes this senior very much.

She has strong observation skills.

It’s just....

“...What do you mean previous life?” Amasawa was curious about her strange vocabulary.

“I wrote a blog before. My old habit got stuck with me. So, ignore my wording.”

“Oh, I noticed that Kushida-senpai always looks like she’s under a lot of pressure. Sometimes I’m under a lot of psychological pressure too, but I’ve received treatment from a psychologist and learned a lot from her, so do you need my help?” Amasawa is a good person who returned the favor.

“hehe----” But Kushida no longer responded to her. Instead, she stood up and walked towards Hachiman.

’If I even talked another minute with her, I am afraid she is going to figure out my true heart!’ Kushida-chan grievly thought so.

She had already arrived in front of Hachiman, “This is the trouble you brought upon yourself. So, you are responsible for solving it!”

’In other words, she is helpless against Amasawa’s pestering? It’s rare to see Kushida in this state, like she’s encountered her natural enemy.’

“Okay, go find Horikita.”

“Why Horikita?” Kushida seemed a little dissatisfied with being rudely passed away.

“I may not be able to go back and eat with her for dinner, and Horikita is the more frugal type, so you can go instead of me. She must have already prepared my portion.”

’Is that so? Let me go to eat.’ But Kushida always felt that something was strange.

Now the first-year students came in, and Suzune was obviously the one who was supposed to help her when she lost the bet, but Kushida felt that level of these two freshmen was too high and Suzune couldn’t handle it, so she didn’t arrange for her to help.

But she was indeed harassed by the first graders.

So, it would be reasonable to visit Suzune’s dormitory for a meal.

“What about my bill?”

“Huh? Pay for yourself.”

“.....” Kushida seemed to be even more furious after hearing this, she paid the bill, storming her foot angrily and left.

Hachiman sat in the seat where Kushida had just warmed it up.

Across the table is a cute girl with twin ponytails.

“Ara Ara~ What a coincidence, we meet, Hikigaya-senpai~!” The schoolgirl took initiative to greet him.

“.....” Hachiman.

It’s not like boy hasn’t had contact with White Room before, and that was Ayanokoji, but their relationship was rather superficial, like a business transaction.

He originally thought that White Roomers are also a human being.

’As long as he was a human being, it would be possible to maintain some relationship through interpersonal contact. Judging from Kushida’s furious state, this girl must have tortured her quite a bit...’

“Let’s make a deal,” Hachiman decided to get straight to the point.

“Yeah,” Amasawa nodded gently, but her fingers were being used to stir her coffee, “I was also waiting for you to say this. Senpai, you deliberately gave me only 1 point because you wanted me to come to you on my own. And I think that means you realized that you might need my help.”

Coffee Sip!

“I can cooperate with you, senpai. But my price is quite high. That is, if one day in the future I cannot return to that place, please provide a home for me to hide.”

???

’These words made people frown, because what are you up to? Or what you really want to do. Not only do you dislike life in the White Room, but you actually want to leave... To be more precise, do you want to escape from that place?’

It is not reasonable for Hachiman to get involved in such matters with an organization.

Besides, value of Amasawa is not that high.

“I cannot grant your request. However, I can provide you with the extra cash you need temporarily. As long as you have some savings, you will have many options.”

Amasawa thought about it for a moment and then nodded.

Although points can be gained in this school, once she gains a large amount, might be noticed.

There are also procedures for exchanging it for cash.

’I originally thought White Room would be difficult to deal with, but it turned out to be surprisingly smooth....’ Hachiman spent 200,000 points to buy the position of Fish in Discipline committee member of the student council, but was rejected by Amasawa Ichika.

According to her, “I upset Kushida-senpai’s mood, so I’ll give this position to her as a favor.”

She is quite good at returning.

Time flies.

A pleasant night passed, and next day was a new test for all the students.

As a member of Student Council.

Hachiman came to first-grade blackboard early in morning to update class evaluation scores.

Grade 1,

Class A, 1109 points

Class B, 860 points

Class C, 730 points

Class D 0 points.

“What’s wrong?”

Hachiman and Ichinose, Secretary, were on duty, but he noticed that girl was in a daze again after finishing writing the data.

“How should I put it... Hikigaya-kun, are you really going to Class D today?”

That’s what she’s talking about.

The original plan was to transfer to Ryuen’s class on 2nd.

But, Ryuen and the others seemed to be worried that he would go back on his word, so went to Chairman’s office just now and waited for Tsukishiro to handle the matter.

Because money for 20 million points to exempt from dropping out or moving up a grade must be paid to the school.

Matters related to money are not under the jurisdiction of Student Council.

However, deducting students’ money and class evaluation scores are issued by Student Council.

“Yes, when it comes to Ryuen’s class, then it will only be you, Sakayanagi and others who will be fighting for Class A....”

“you mean-----”

“We have been in this school for a year. It is very difficult for the lower classes to fight their way up, so we should also consider how to better adapt to this school. So our goal is to accumulate as many private points as possible. So, class confrontation is what you need to fight.”

Ichinose nodded slightly at this.

Because, current second-grade class evaluation scores are also very embarrassing.

Grade 2

Class A (Sakayanagi) 1580 points

Class B (Ichinose) 1248.1 points

Class C (Horikita) 1155.7 points

Class D (Ryuen) 300 points

For Ichinose and others, the road ahead is still long and difficult.

In this way.

After finishing work, everyone went back to their homes.

Hachiman went directly to second-year D class.

The classroom of Grade 2 D class was open, but there were a few students waiting in the corridor, looking like they were taking a break.

But it happened quickly.

“He’s really coming!”

It seems that someone reported this.

Then, stared blankly at Hikigaya-kun as he walked into their classroom.

Bang! Bang!

“Hey, you’re here!” Ishizaki Daichi was right at the front door, “Hikigaya, I knew you were coming!”

Kondo was right behind, “That’s good. As long as you and Ryuen-san are in our class together, everyone will feel at ease!”

Ryuen had already brought back the agreement and had all students in Class D sign it.

Everyone saw Hikigaya’s assurance.

Although they are delinquents, will still be satisfied if they can be guaranteed a living allowance of 50,000 yen per month.

After all, who wants to eat mountain vegetable set meals all the time?

After losing for a year in a row, they have gotten used to the fact, will never be able to climb up.

However, this school does not require renewal fees or living expenses, which is much better than other schools.

“Then I won’t say much. Let’s see what the special exam of this month is about. As long as it’s not a written test, then you can be sure that our class will shine in this exam,” Hikigaya-kun began to make some ominous promises.

“hehe……” Sakagami, who had been staying at the back, smiled.

As class teacher, he has received the content of this month’s special exam.

’Ryuen collected 20 million points, although some of them were borrowed. But, decision was to buy Hikigaya Hachiman. Then let him see whether he is worthy of this. Let’s see if Ryuen’s choice is correct.’

At the same time, Class C of Grade 2.

The class did not change, but in the morning, a staff member came and changed the sign.

Yes, although no one in their class dropped out of written exam that just ended,... didn’t get any points in the written exam either.

So lost, Ichinose’s class overtook again.

“Everyone go back to your seats,” At this time, our homeroom teacher, Chabashira, walked in from the corridor.

At the same time, students discovered, there is another empty table in class.

Because Hikigaya-kun has changed classes!

Hikigaya had announced this news himself some time ago. However, it was only when a desk was vacant that people realized someone had really transferred to another class.

“It seems you already know. Ryuen from Class D of Second year paid for Hachiman Hikigaya to go over. When you first entered school, you knew that 20 million points could exempt you from dropping out, and you could also go to the class you wanted. And now, people can also be transferred to other classes. However, now that you have fallen to Class C, I think you need to pay attention to this.”

People feel like Chabashira-sensei’s spirit seems to have been drained a little.

Some students discovered this.

But it was direct, “Same as usual.”

However, Chabashira-sensei announced some very cruel news.

That is, exam just ended on 27th, but now we have this month’s special exam.

“I hope there won’t be any punishment of expulsion.” A sleeping bot thought so.

Just as Chabashira was about to announce the exam rules, students noticed that floor below seemed to be vibrating.

Drum! Drum!

Clap! Clap!

“It seems like people are cheering down there.....”

“Is that so?” Today, it was rare that Koenji Rokusuke was not just looking at his stunning face in the mirror and combing his hair.

Although, rules for month’s exams were announced in class meetings, teachers announced at different times.

This special exam should be very profitable. That’s why Ryuen’s class is so excited.

Because Hikigaya-kun is like a saviour, he has made exactly the right move.

He was wondering whether he should change his class in advance.

In second grade D class, feeling that the time was about up, Teacher Sakagami walked to the podium.

“Well, there’s a new student transferred to our class today, you all should be familiar with him. And now comes the announcement of this month’s special exam.”

Sakagami Kazuma spoke without hesitation, “This time, exam will be longer than before, both in terms of the reward points and time arrangement. The scope is similar to the written examination you just finished, but it is much larger. It is an assessment that affects all first-year, second-year, and third-year students in the school. It can be understood as a scrimmage among all grades. It is scheduled to last for two weeks from May 8th to May 21st.”

“Starting from May 22, you will have two weeks of enjoyment on a luxury cruise ship. From the deadline point of view, it has exceeded May, yes, so this exam is actually a joint exam of two months. At that time, there will be no special examinations in June.”

In other words, rewards or deductions for class evaluation scores and even personal rewards for this month’s exams will be very generous.

Then it is very suitable for people with ability to show their talents.

“I am going to be rich.....”

Hiyori, who was sitting by the window, glanced at the new student who had just entered the class.
