COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“My strength is just average,” Saying this, Kiyotaka grasped dynamometer in his right hand.

The indicator needle began to move and finally stopped at 50kg position.

“I just run fast,” Kiyotaka who is a senpai now, said very modestly, “I’m not very strong.”

Next one is Hachiman who didn’t hesitate much.

“59.9kg.”

“You won first place in boys’ grip strength test. You can get a 5-point reward and food for two people.” Having said this, began to distribute the rewards.

First, scanned QR code on Hachiman’s bracelet and entered the score.

Then he brought out an insulated box and allowed him to choose the ingredients.

Shiba prepared various pots of soup or sukiyaki ingredients. In the end, he chose two-person portion that looked more appetizing.

And this result is actually quite good, because it defeated two White Room students.

But, Hikigaya-kun knew very well these two people were hiding their strength. ’And... just now, Yagami actually wanted to invite Ayanokoji to participate in grip strength battle. You hope senpai can show some real strength. But Ayanokoji did not fight back at all, just ignored Yagami...Don’t even need to pay attention.’

As for their secret fight, Hachiman didn’t pay attention to it.

Whatever he needs to pay attention to, whether it’s Nanase’s affair or Yagami Takuya, you guys should just go and deal with Ayanokoji.

Just don’t disturb the exam. But something unexpected happened with girls.

“How come you are so strong?” Ibuki seemed a little annoyed.

Although she is a girl, Ibuki has been training herself and even learned martial arts since she was a child.

And her strength is also very good among girls.

Ibuki got a score of 56kg.

Then she also looked at the gentle and polite innocent junior school girl, Nanase, who easily achieved the score of 65kg.

This is amazing.

Generally speaking, 60kg is considered excellent for men, and a guy like Sudo can reach 80kg, but Koenji may be able to break 100kg.

For girls, due to physical limitations, 50kg is considered excellent, so being able to reach 65kg is quite amazing.

That’s why Ibuki was so excited.

“I’ve loved sports since I was a kid. And I’ve been training hard in past two years.”

’I have loved sports since I was a child, and had special training in the past two years, so I will definitely make progress....’

“Okay.” Ibuki accepted the answer. Then, she got second place.

Got ingredients for one person.

The subject is finished.

Although we could still move on to the next topic, sun was already high in the sky and temperature was rising rapidly.

Besides, since everyone in group was just slacking off, there was no need to take exam to improve their scores under the scorching sun.

So, everyone decided to go back and have a meal first.

As for Takuya Yagami, he left after the exam.

His grades weren’t very good, and was only ranked 88th on the tablet.

And he wasn’t playing solo, teamed up with Tsubaki Sakurako from Class C.

With that, Hachiman and others returned to where Yukimura was still looking at the luggage, while Ike was drinking water.

Yukimura was in a good mood when he learned that Hikigaya decided to contribute his lunch, “There is such a good thing?!”

Because they have not returned to starting point and have not purchased supplies.

On one hand, there are not many supply points left, and prices in the canteen of Grade 2 Class A when they return to starting point are also very expensive.

They think it is not bad to punch in every day to earn some points, and participate in one or two courses to get some supplies.

If you spend a lot of money during these days, it will become difficult to make ends meet next month.

Each of them paid 50,000 points to Ryuen as protection fee.

Therefore, remaining points in Class C were not so abundant.

As a result, today Yukimura can eat fresh ingredients, and it’s Sukiyaki!

“Yeah,” Hachiman nodded. ’The amount of ingredients is quite large, so it is okay to eat them together....But’

“I don’t see Komiya here..”

“Shinohara went to the bathroom, and Komiya decided to breathe some fresh oxygen and look after her,” Yukimura said like it’s not much of an issue.

’Is that so? The school distributed simple toilets, and everyone has one. It also has a tent-like structure to keep it hidden. But although this thing looks convenient, it still needs someone to take care of it. Because this forest is the same as last year’s uninhabited island. Although there are no large dangerous animals, but snakes....And after being bitten, it is easy to be asked to abstain. This is exemplified by group members of Isshiki...Therefore, someone needs to take care of and protect Shinohara.’

“Okay, how long have they been gone for?” Hachiman tried his best to not look at Ike while he said it.

“About ten minutes. Hmm?” Only, it was just bad luck, Ike was the guy responded to him, and suddenly realised something was inappropriate.

“It’s been a bit too long. No way—” Ike Kanji immediately dropped bottle of mineral water he was drinking and chased in one direction.

“Why is Ike-senpai so anxious all of a sudden?” Nanase didn’t understand his behaviour, so she looked towards another girl who felt quite admirable towards her.

“I don’t know, what’s the noise?” Ibuki also said, a girl who simply doesn’t know how to get along with others.

But Hikigaya-kun... probably knows what Ike is thinking.

When he and Hiyori met before, they saw Ike and Shinohara together, and boy also showed his affection for girl.

’But now Shinohara and Komiya have a good relationship. So, Ike felt threatened. At the same time. Now two of them have been gone for so long...either something has happened, or... well, maybe they are having a secret meeting. But, Chairman Tsukishiro said that sexual disputes between men and women are prohibited. Seems to be preventing something from happening. Only, what if both agree and there is no dispute? Then...it’s hard to say.’

“Let’s go and take a look too,” Hachiman is curious to see whether conclusion been right or not. ’On the one hand, Ike probably wanted to catch the adulterer, but if something really happened and it got blown up, then both groups would be affected....’

As a team member, it is necessary for Hikigaya-kun to check on and even handle emergencies.

“Shinohara! don’t be with Komiya. I have feelings for you.”

“We are classmates, but Komiya is from a different class. People from different classes are destined to have no results!”

“Shinohara!”

“Give me a chance!” Ike’s despair voice could be heard from afar.

This person is really hopeless.

“Hikigaya-senpai!” At this time, Nanase suddenly shouted.

“What’s wrong?” Hachiman felt that other party’s voice was a little anxious, so he quickly responded.

While thinking, he ran over and found out... Komiya and Shinohara had already been found.

Nanase was on a small hill, and she was standing on it, trying hard to slide her body down.

There are two students at foot of the hill. Wearing red sweatpants and a white sports short-sleeved shirt.

The two students were Komiya and Shinohara Satsuki. Both of them were facing the ground.

The bracelets made a beeping sound.

This is a state where there is a problem with monitoring and body is unwell.

According to school rules, if you are feeling unwell, you can delay for one day if you have a prop card.

But normally, if a dangerous critical value is reached, one will be forced to give up and go for treatment.

The bracelets on Shinohara and Komiya’s left hands showed such a hint.

“The two seem to have fainted,” Nanase had already slid down the hillside and she was checking quickly.

“But—” Her expression was serious.

“It seems that seniors did not fall down accidentally,” Both of them showed signs of having been attacked.

“Let’s call teachers over,” Hachiman immediately made a judgment and said.

Even Nanase who wants to use violence had no objection.

The most important thing at this time is to save lives.

So, two of them pressed the emergency buttons on Shinohara and Komiya’s bracelets respectively.

Once pressed, school will arrive at the student’s location within 30 minutes, but it also means...child has given up.

After pressing the safety bracelets on Shinohara and Komiya’s left hands, Hachiman and Nanase decided to move the two to a cool place.

Because the sun has risen now, if were left waiting for rescue here in this manner, they would probably run out of water halfway.

At this time, Ike, who was still searching around, finally discovered that something was wrong here.

Quickly climbed down the hillside.

It was probably because it was quite steep that he fell.

But after falling, Ike Kanji immediately got up, and regardless of the pain in his body, he walked straight towards Shinohara.

From this point of view, he should be really worried about the girl.

“Why did it turn out like this?” When he arrived at the foot of the hill and saw Shinohara who had passed out, Ike found it unacceptable.

“Both of them were attacked. It happened not long ago,” This is what Hachiman found: there was a small scratch on Komiya’s arm, and the blood on scar had not yet completely coagulated, indicating that injury was recent.

“So someone attacked them?” As he said this, Ike looked around quickly. Then he showed a nervous look on his face, “It wasn’t me. I couldn’t have done such a thing to Shinohara!”

???

No one doubts you, it’s better to say that you are doubting what you are doing at this moment.

“Nanase, did you find anything?” Hachiman walked towards her who is looking around for a while.

“Yeah,” Nanase Tsubasa, who had just gone to the hillside to check, nodded.

Then she lowered head and looked at marks on the ground, “There should have been footprints of a third person here, but were erased. It shows that people who attacked Komiya-senpai and Shinohara-senpai are good at counter-reconnaissance.”

“And then?” Hachiman continued.

“I don’t know why this happened, but this is not good at all. I don’t think innocent people should be involved.”

’Innocent people shouldn’t be involved. Doesn’t this mean that Nanase Tsubasa thinks it was Hosen and others’ behavior? That is to say, Although, identity of the third person cannot be confirmed, Hosen and others can be listed as suspects for the time being....However, his group had no reason at all to attack Shinohara and her group. Because once it is discovered they were the ones who carried out attack, not to mention Ayanokoji being expelled from school, they will be first to be cleared out....’

Hachiman felt that junior’s inference was not very accurate. ’However, the important thing now is to let Shinohara and others wait for rescue, and then provide information after they wake up....’

So, four of them just had to wait together aside.

Later, Yukimura and Ibuki also found that Hachiman and others had been gone for a long time, so Ibuki came over and found the same situation.

It became a problem where everyone was waiting together for the arrival of school teachers.

About 25 minutes later, the familiar figure of head teacher arrived.

One is Miss Chabashira from Class C, an old acquaintance.

The other one is Sakagami, homeroom teacher of Class D, whose face is a little bumpy due to too many acne.

Two teachers led the team, and four people from medical came at the same time.

They wore white coats and carried simple stretchers and first aid medical kits.

“He’s actually a student in my class!” Sakagami was taken aback for a moment. It seems that he didn’t know who the student was who got injured.

Instead, he came here with the medical team after receiving a report that a student was in danger.

“I said before this long and risky exam shouldn’t be held! The students don’t have enough knowledge about wilderness survival and haven’t received any prior training. Something bad is bound to happen!” Teacher Sakagami immediately started cursing higher up like Tsukishiro to death, “Now a student in my class is in trouble! What on earth is Chairman Tsukishiro thinking? I’m going to file for his impeachment!”

Um....To some extent, Hachiman’s favorability towards this homeroom teacher increased.

“How is it going?” Chabashira squatted down and asked the professional on the side.

She only had some knowledge of medical first aid, and didn’t know anything else.

“There are no problems with their vital signs, but both of them have suffered attacks on their heads. But it looks like he was attacked first, and then fell down the hillside. Fortunately, it is not very high,” The doctor said after checking.

“However, at this level, I think he may have a concussion, so he needs to be observed....”

“So I can’t accept this kind of test, it can easily cause problems for students,” Teacher Sakagami wanted to continue scolding, but was stopped by a doctor.

“Be quiet for a moment!” Because he found that one of two injured showed signs of waking up.

Seconds later, Komiya woke up in a daze.

“Where am I……?”

“Shinohara? How is she?” The first thing Komiyama asked after waking up was....

“Komiya, what’s going on with you?” Teacher Sakagami asked immediately.

“How do I say...Shinohara and I came to the hillside together, and then I seemed to hear footsteps, but I just felt a flash in front of my eyes and a headache. Then I saw Shinohara falling down the hillside, and then I subconsciously reached out to pull her, but then I too fell down in a daze....I didn’t see anyone, but... Shinohara might have seen him.”

As he said this, Komiya felt an excruciating headache again.
