COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

As a result...what staff handed over...was still green.

It wasn’t until Hachiman got 3rd one that it turned out to be blue.

But he was a thrifty man, so two extra green hats could come in handy now.

Considering that it might rain, he also bought raincoats for 3 of them.

After determining the direction of movement, three began to act.

The sand on ground was a little hot, but fortunately there was no strange terrain along the way, so moved forward at a constant speed of 12 minutes per area.

Then at the 53rd minute, met Shinohara Satsuki, who had been staying where she was after getting off the ship.

”I’m here!” The other person looked a little listless, but when she noticed that Hachiman and other three had arrived, immediately waved her hand.

Actually, waiting here alone might make you feel a little uneasy.

But her EQ is pretty good, so she didn’t say it out loud, ”Well, how do we start forming a team?”

”You can just take out your tablet and randomly ask one of 3 of us to form a team...”

”Good!”

Soon, Hachiman clearly saw that Komiya had taken out the tablet, but he found that he had received a request to form a team on his device.

”...”

’Did Shinohara finally choose to apply to me to form a team? It was Komiya who had been expecting Shinohara to join, but she seemed to be leaning towards me in terms of trust....’

The atmosphere in this group suddenly became really weird.

[Team formation successful, member Shinohara Satsuki is now added successfully.]

[Your schedule has been changed.]

[Ding! The new designated area is C3. Please check in there within 67 minutes.]

’It seems that my guess was correct. After forming a team, the system will randomly select one party’s schedule to execute.....C3 area is very close to D3. So that’s pretty good luck.’

The four of them did not continue to be hypocritical.

During the process, Komiya kept paying attention to Shinohara from time to time, and seemed to be staring at other’s backpack.

Maybe he was always thinking about how to be of help to get something for the other person.

While observing them, Hachiman also noticed that Ibuki-san seemed to be staring at his backpack as well.

”...”

No, Ibuki, you don’t need this.

Hikigaya-kun hasn’t fallen to the point where he needs a girl to help carry his luggage.

”Drop!”

”Score +1!”

”Score +1!”

Hachiman and his team arrived at the C3 area 24 minutes later.

After arriving, found there was only one teacher left, and other person was holding something similar to a barcode scanner.

You can enter and then scan the students’ wristbands to give points.

There were few other students left.

On the one hand, it was because they arrived very late, and on the other hand, topics had already appeared.

Students began to move on to topics of their own choice.

Hachiman clicked on the map, and subject that Mr. Mashima had given an example of on the ship was immediately displayed.

When you actually take the exam, information about subjects given on the map will be more detailed.

Includes location, content, and compensation.

There are 14 topics that appear.

The closest distance is only two areas away from current C3 area.

Moreover, apart from the location, you can check what exam questions are for different subjects.

Hachiman randomly clicked on one of the topics.

The result of the topic is - Field skills assessment.

And Hachiman discovered this was just a skill for living in the wild.

The content is roughly that school prepares the props needed to make a fire, and participating students need to have certain knowledge of survival in the wild, make corresponding choices, and then one who can make a fire the fastest wins.

The first place winner will receive 5 points as reward.

The second place winner will receive 3 points as reward.

No reward for those below second place.

Hachiman continued to click on another topic prompted on the map.

The content of subject is - English test.

The first place gets 5 points, second place gets 3 points, and third place gets 1 point.

The teams that get same ranking will get food for 3 people in the evening.

Then continue reading other topics.

Hachiman discovered there was a test on geographical knowledge.

This subject is worth a lot of points.

The first place has 10 points. The second place has 5 points. The third place has 3 points.

Therefore, Hachiman saw two groups of 3rd-year students heading directly towards topic of the geography knowledge test.

And these two groups of third-year students were from Class B.

’I think 3rd graders still hope to get some points in this exam....So, this is Grade 3 Class B working hard.’

As a junior, Hachiman also hopes that Nanase will break away from bad influence and resume her resistance.

”Hikigaya-kun, which topic are we going to work on next?” Shinohara now became voice of the group.

What subject to choose?

Now everyone has got one point, and there is no need to compete for top three.

The top 50% of group scores will be rewarded with 50,000 points, and the top 70% will be rewarded with 10,000 points, and there is no need to compete for them.

Because the maximum points you can get is 60,000, and then it has to be divided equally among four people, so only 15,000 per person, no one would be interested.

Then just get a few points every day to keep the group active and you can be good to go.

But now it seems that Shinohara doesn’t think so.

Instead, Hikigaya-kun is treated as thighs to hold on to and score points.

But now, facing the trusting gaze from his former classmate, Hachiman was unable to bring himself to say ”Let’s just give up now.”

”Go take English test.”

Although that topic was a little far away and score was not that high, Hachiman remembered that Suzune’s initial disembarkation point was in that area.

So if you are lucky you can meet.

According to the instructions on the map, there is a section of river in that area, so it is also suitable for camping at night.

”English test?” However, as soon as he said this, Hachiman found that the expressions of his companions around him seemed to be frozen.

Um....These lot are poor students, and it is really difficult for them to take the exam.

”I will be responsible for participating later. The English subject only requires one student from each group to participate.”

”That’s fine.” Komiya immediately raised both hands in agreement.

In fact, he would approve of whatever topic Hikigaya-kun chooses.

This was Ryuen’s instruction, and he felt relieved at the same time.

Because he had already picked up Shinohara, and also knew that Ike from Class C had been pestering Shinohara recently, and he would occasionally see two of them meeting together in shopping district, so he was also worried that Shinohara was being chased away.

Komiya has to show up his game!

Because of the continuous journey, Komiya finally got what he wanted, received Shinohara’s gratitude.

But what Hachiman thought of was what Sakayanagi once said.

’That is, those who bootlick the dog will not be loved. Especially when it comes to love. Of course, these are just the usual verbal outbursts from Kushida. She has a lot of friends and has seen a lot of couples break up and get back together. You clearly understand this, but why, when it comes to you, Kushida-chan, don’t you want to have a normal relationship?’

Other side.

”Achu--”

After entering the woods, little angel with medium-length golden hair sneezed.

”Kikyo-chan, are you okay?”

”Are you feeling unwell?” The petite girl with twin ponytails immediately said with some concern while moving together with Kushida-chan.

Because this exam lasts for 14 days, and if you are unwell, you will be forced to withdraw, so it is important to maintain your physical condition.

”No, no. Maybe someone is saying bad things about me.....”

”Huh? There are actually people who would say bad things about Kikyo-chan?” Mii-chan found her statement unbelievable.

But Kushida-chan changed the subject.

Because she knows the people who usually talk nonsense to her, they are either Hikigaya Hachiman or Horikita Suzune, but now there are also Amasawa Ichika and Yagami Takuya.

”But Mii-chan, is it really okay not to take [English exam]?”

The topic has already emerged.

”If you take the English test, you will definitely get points!”

”No, no. In fact, there are many people with good academic ability,” But Mii-chan was very modest and useless, ”Besides, we have already checked in at the first designated area and received points. Now we should go to pick up Ichinose-san as agreed.”

Ichinose-san, who teams up with another lesbian Chihiro Shiranami from her class.

Because two classes are taking a joint exam this time, Kushida’s and Ichinose’s group will form a large group after the exam.

According to Ichinose’s plan, both sides would check in and score points in first designated area, and then go to starting point and gather at the supply.

Then, among topics that have been refreshed, there are ones that are suitable for Wang Meiyu, so she can complete the topic first and then meet up with Ichinose.

”Okay....” Kushida respected Wang Meiyu’s opinion of being a good side character, and not interfering with the plot.

’At the same time, one of the reasons why I actually like this group is because, whether it is from OAA data or from observations during the sports festival, it can be seen that Ichinose-san’s physical fitness is very poor.....She will become a burden to some extent. But this is also the time when I can greatly increase Ichinose-san’s favor. It’s all Hikigaya Hachiman’s fault. He clearly asked her to sign the marriage registration form, so she should have just named her at the end. How come Ichinose-san also signed the same agreement? Suddenly I had a new competitor, and felt uneasy. However, me and Ichinose-san have many similarities, especially in terms of affinity and aura, which makes me envious and jealous. At the same time, I feel that I am inferior to Ichinose-san in many ways. So, Come on, Kushida-chan. Only by knowing yourself and your enemy can you win every battle!’

”Let’s go!” Kushida-chan seemed to be fired up now.

Other side.

Cruise Ship.

The acting chief examiner, Tsukishiro, did not go to the island. He was in the air-conditioned room on ship.

’Although I am often assigned to do some more troublesome work and be in a relatively harsh environment. But now there is obviously no reason to abuse myself. Especially when people reach this age, they need to be kind to themselves and give in occasionally...’

”Five groups have already abstained.” The subordinate reported.

Tsukishiro opened his computer and saw a map of the entire island with locations of 426 students scattered across it.

The positions of five students were rather unique, and they seemed to be approaching the ship.

The island is some distance from the ship, so there is only one reason why students can go to ship.

’In other words, abstention. Five people abstained, but report showed that five groups abstained. That is to say, all composed of one person. Now it’s only 2 hours since exam, so all I can say is that someone arranged for 5 groups to be dropped out, and then bottom 3 groups will have to pay class evaluation marks to top 3, which is very stressful for the students. Since you are worried about problems, let’s arrange five harmless groups to take the greatest risks in this exam. And there is really only one class that is suitable for doing so. The evaluation score is 0 for Class D, Grade 1.’

”If I’m not mistaken, these five groups are all students from Class D of first grade, right?”

”Yes.” The staff nodded.

Snort! Tsukishiro smiled because he just knew it.

But, his worker continued to report.

”Come to think of it, students made good use of cards in this exam. For example, Class A of 2nd grade collected a large number of Lead cards and took away a large amount of supplies from us. Excellent performance. Then all students completed their bets for Hitchhiking. Come to think of it, seeing them betting was a little weird. Would you like to take a look?”

”No need. I know what’s going on.”

’The budget is sufficient. If students can be given some extra living expenses, they will have fewer complaints during next exam.’ Tsukishiro is considering setting the next ones.

Sitting here, serving as Acting chairman and Chief examiner, core responsibility of Tsukishiro is still the fact that Ayanokoji dropped out of school.

But he didn’t think that gentleman should drop out of school immediately, but doing nothing was not an option either.

Therefore, if he takes a little longer like this and complete the task, everyone will be satisfied.

He received information that No. 1 went directly to contact Ayanokoji before the exam.

This is a little disturbing.

Tsukishiro thinks that No.1 is too obsessed with Ayanokoji and something might happen.

However, White Roomers will also take part in this exam, so it is still worth looking forward to.

’So, Masterpiece, how are you going to get through this exam surrounded by While Room students and instructors?’

Tsukishiro admitted that he was a little surprised to see Ayanokoji come to the office with injuries last month.

Then it was also confirmed that ceiling of the white room really has no emotions, and in order to achieve the goal, it doesn’t matter what means are used.

In this exam, he believes the other party will use any means necessary.

But he believed that Ayanokoji would be able to complete the exam.

And if he is sure that it cannot be accomplished, then may need some secret help.

For now, Mr. Tsukishiro decided to watch the show first.

’After all, exam lasts for 14 days, which is still a long time, isn’t it?’
