COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Yagami Takuya, is that you?”

“How dare you attack my people?!”

“Do you think you are a big shot!”

“Just because you got a few coloured illustrations, started to look down!”

“Attacked students in my class!”

Even though boys of Class B are still reasonable, and kept quiet but same can’t be said for people of Ryuen’s class.

Many people’s entire body seemed to be shaking with fury, eyes so red they are going to bleed and laser...used to be the violent ones and they have basically all fought.

They won’t care too much about losing a fight or getting injured.

But, Komiya was ambushed and even had to give up. This matter cannot be tolerated.

“The seniors seem to be talking about something terrible. I am not that famous to get posters made for me,” Yagami Takuya said with an innocent expression, “I can’t and will not do such a thing. Moreover, you are targeting me like this. So, may I ask if you have any evidence?”

“Show him Year 2—”

The student from Class D, Grade 2, who was so aggressive just now, seemed to have paused.

Because of evidence or something? They don’t have any.

Besides, it is said that Hikigaya checked the surveillance footage on spot, but did not capture the criminal.

But at this time, two first-year students were brought over from a distance by Sanada from Class 2-A.

“Just do your job, you will be paid handsomely.....”

That’s right, first-year student took the initiative to speak.

“We also know that someone was injured yesterday. Then some of the upperclassmen asked us about our situation. We were passing by there at the time. I think I saw Yagami running!”

“Because Yagami is so fast, I thought I was seeing things earlier!”

“I haven’t seen Yagami’s face, but I now think it’s very likely him!” Another student added on top of his friend.

So, for a moment, everyone’s eyes were on Yagami who stared at the two first-year students in Class D.

Because, with his speed, he deliberately avoided the camera, but the two first-year students were questioned by seniors because they appeared in front of the camera.

There was no way the two first-years could see him. That means 2 of them are committing perjury.

Yagami was already frowning slightly inwardly. ’I have already discovered these senior students were here to block me. Now they are even resorting to perjury. Just because two students were beaten and dropped out, it took almost half of grade to stop me. Are students in this school so united?’

As he was thinking this, Yagami noticed that seniors now suddenly looked back.

Then, Takuya Yagami discovered that Hikigaya-senpai whom he met yesterday in the grip strength measurement project was actually walking towards here with his men.

’That is to say. Is it him? It was he who organized this blockade.’

Yagami only now realised that two students he attacked seemed to be members of Hikigaya’s group. No wonder the other party would take action.

’But, why am I targeted? How did he know it’s me? You know, I waited for Ayanokoji for a long time, but the other party did not take any action, that is to say, he was fully prepared and would not be discovered so easily. It was only when Ayanokoji realised something was wrong and caught up with me that he could find any clues. This is the declaration of war that Takuya Yagami issued to Ayanokoji Kiyotaka. Let the other party take the initiative to fight. It is a battle between me and Ayanokoji.’

“Takuya Yagami from Class B, first year.” Hikigaya-senpai stepped forward, “We are tracking down the students who attacked members of my group yesterday. The other party’s methods are vile. If we don’t find them out, all students will be in danger. And I will investigate everyone our group met yesterday one by one.”

’That’s right. Then just start investigating each person you meet one by one. Yesterday was the fifth day of exams, and the average student’s stamina was starting to bottom out, so even when I went to the designated area to clock in, I encountered fewer students, and even less participated in the projects. It is normal to investigate everyone you meet.....’ Giving himself this kind of logic, Yagami’s racing heart calmed down.

“It looks like you guys have already started to act on your own.”

At this time, an adult’s voice came. Students all had an impression of this tone.

Because it was none other than Chairman Tsukishiro, who was introduced by Mr. Mashima on the ship as examiner of this exam and who had allowed a small conflict to occur.

Tsukishiro actually listened for a short while, looking for the right entry point.

Hikigaya Hachiman ordered the second-year students to take action, and the target was very clear, Yagami Takuya.

Tsukishiro knew very well that Yagami was the No. 1 of 5th Gen of White Room students called here specifically to expel Ayanokoji.

The fact that Hikigaya wanted to capture Yagami directly meant that he already had evidence of Yagami’s attack.

But what was shown now was a false confession, and there was also an appearance of seeking verification, and it seemed that it would be impossible to catch Yashami immediately.

The ability to do things is not good enough.

But Tsukishiro was a smart guy and he quickly realized that it was Hikigaya who was giving him a way out.

’Hikigaya Hachiman knew that I was the one who was arranged to expel Ayanokoji from school, and he also knew that this time I borrowed the power of White Room. Now, he gave me such an opportunity...which means...you have already seen through Yagami Takuya’s identity as WR student.....what a mess! 5th Gen’s best! My foot!’

Although he thought so, Tsukishiro stayed aside for a while, looking for a step to enter and deal with the situation.

Because if they really produce evidence Yashami is the criminal, it will be difficult for him to operate.

So now, since Hikigaya hasn’t produced any evidence, it’s just the right time for him to take action.

So he spoke immediately.

“Yesterday, a student injured someone. The school is very sorry. But I don’t think it’s a good idea to suspect everyone one by one, because it will scare many students. So, I guarantee as Acting chairman that we will increase patrols and pay more attention to your safety. At the same time, I’m sorry for what I said before. I originally thought I could give you more freedom and allow some minor conflicts, but now it seems that I was not thoughtful enough. So now cancel this exception.”

“The requirement of not using violence during the exams has been restored. Those who violate this rule will be severely punished or even expelled from school. A unified message will be sent to your tablets later.”

“You are fucking with us!” But students obviously didn’t buy it.

Kanzaki-kun frowned. The boys in Grade 2 Class D found this unacceptable.

Since the injury has already happened, do you think you can let it go with just a few words from you, just an Acting Chairman?

“Of course I have considered this as well,” Chairman Tsukishiro took out his tablet.

Clicked on a video. The students around them fell silent while watching this.

The images show Shinohara and Komiya being attacked. They are lying in the ship’s medical facility, but both have regained consciousness.

From a mental perspective, it’s pretty good. It shouldn’t be a big deal.

“The two injured have regained consciousness. But I will deal with it accordingly.”

“The criminal will definitely be caught and the police will be notified. So can matter of finding the criminal be left to our school?”

As he said this, Tsukishiro scanned the faces of second-year students one by one.

After all, other party is an adult.

The second-year students quickly looked at Hikigaya-kun.

“Our spontaneous action is only to ensure safety of the students, so if the school is willing to take risk, then we will naturally agree,” Hachiman agreed as if he is giving pardon.

“Yeah,” Tsukishiro nodded seriously, still enjoyed acting with Hikigaya-kun.

“Well, can you let me say something? Although I am not a criminal, if my withdrawal can make everyone feel at ease, then I would rather withdraw from the exam. So I choose to abstain,” Yagami seems quite considerate.

“....” Tsubaki Sakurako, who has a low sense of presence, is actually not in a good mood right now.

Because Yagami and she are in the same group. So, if he automatically quits, it means that she will have to work hard!

She can’t continue to play badly, otherwise will lose points. The worst case scenario is 0 points.

Then, she will have to compete with the five bottom-placed groups in Class D of her grade for the last place.

In the worst case, you will be expelled.

Yagami was relieved to leave, but he didn’t consider the situation on her end at all.

Tsubaki could almost confirm this boy Yagami was not an ordinary person, and that he was the one who caused the attack! ’This kind of person is simply a lunatic. I guess he deliberately told us the dirty laundry about Kushida-senpai in order to take advantage and cause trouble for us!’

xxxxx

“It looks like we can continue with the exam now,” Chairman Tsukishiro came and left in a hurry.

However, Yagami did what he said and chose to abstain.

Everyone agrees that Yagami is the attacker, so his departure makes people feel at ease.

Exam can also continue.

“Hikigaya—”

Hachiman thanked students who supported him and arranged for them to leave on their own.

His class will also compensate for the loss of students who were unable to continue the exam from yesterday afternoon to today because of the search for Yagami Takuya.

Each participating student will receive an additional 50,000 points.

However, Kanzaki-kun did not leave.

“You really don’t have any evidence to prove that Yagami is the criminal?” Kanzaki wanted to know more.

Really not? Of course. This isn’t the time to take it out right away.

Because Hachiman’s goal was achieved. The dangerous Yagami was eliminated from this exam.

As representative of the school, Tsukishiro needs to ensure the safety of other students. Therefore, once all the students are out of danger, the exam can continue.

At the same time, Tsukishiro also brought the video of Shinohara and Komiya, confirming that risk to the two has been eliminated.

The school should also compensate them appropriately. The fact that exam continued instead of being interrupted was also good news for Hachiman.

This means that betting to gain huge points is still possible.

Ryuen’s team can continue to take the exam.

If both Ryuen and Albert’s teams can get points, then D class’s evaluation score will exceed 500 points, so he can take 70% of the extra income.

This score can be obtained until graduation.

And he doesn’t have to give Sakayanagi an extra 10%.

One more thing.

That is, Hachiman saw attitude of the acting Chairman Tsukishiro, was so eager to show up and solve the problem that he deliberately let the exam continue.

’This shows that Takuya Yagami is still quite important to Chairman. President Sakayanagi once said that after confirming the criminal, she would use her authority as the president to expel....’

But Hachiman didn’t think it could be handled so easily.

’Because Chairman Sakayanagi hasn’t come back yet, directly firing Yagami and sending him to prison would cause the family of Ayanokoji’s father to lose face. After all, the person who can be assigned to deal with Ayanokoji, who is Masterpiece, must be quite outstanding, so firing him directly is equivalent to completely offending the group of people led by Ayanokoji’s father. Because of Kushida’s activeness, I learned about Nanase’s past. Then we learned that butler had helped Ayanokoji escape against the wishes of his father, and finally had no choice but to set himself on fire to ask for forgiveness....This shows that he is not a kind man, but a cruel and ruthless person. Terrible thing regarding adult world. Therefore, there is no need for Sakayanagi to take the risk of directly becoming enemies with other party......’

But there is a solution.

’Because of impact this time, although he was protected, Yagami’s evaluation will definitely decline. Once the time comes, it will be possible to continue to get rid of him. Therefore, record sheet of Yagami’s replacement of bracelet after the incident, which I obtained from Hoshinomiya-sensei in violation of regulations, can be used as evidence to expel Yagami at any time.....’

“Hikigaya-senpai!”

When Hachiman sent Kanzaki away, three first-year students who were surrounded together, although Hachiman left, Tsubaki Sakurako and Utomiya did not leave.

In fact, he walked directly in front of Vice President.

“What’s up?” Hachiman looked at the other party.

“In fact, Yagami was working with us before, and he told us some news about Kushida-senpai. It’s like a rumor, I think he might be trying to do something.”

It’s obvious. Since Yagami is unkind, then both Utomiya and Tsubaki are also unjust.
