COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Asahina just turned 180.

So naturally, many people stared at her face now. This is a bit shocking.

Damn it, he is the Main Character!

People suddenly realised what was going on with Asahina, and can’t disobey the story, must follow orders!

“My 3rd-grade Class C is also participating.”

“My 3rd-year Class D is also participating.”

Now 3rd-grade students are preparing for a breakthrough in their last year.

Even Class C and Class D felt their chances were not completely zero.

The ones in danger are Grade 3 A and 3 B classes. But, now have already realized it.

This exam is very similar to last year’s exam in forest, which is... it can be controlled.

If we pull down Class B of Grade 3 now, it will eliminate a risk for Class A of Grade 3, and for Classes C and D, it will mean one less strong opponent.

This kind of deal is totally doable.

“(O_O)!” Actually!

Kiriyama also reacted at this time, he will become the target of other ACD. ’If we were surrounded by three classes, our exams on the island would be disrupted or we might even be left behind. Then, my hope of promotion will be over!’

After all, top three students can get points, but are taken from the class evaluation scores of bottom three students.

So if he ranks last in the class, his current score of more than 1,000 points will immediately drop to 0.

The reason why Kiriyama was so confident just now was, on one hand... a trial card appeared in his class, and on the other hand, there was actually a strong person in his class.

It took a lot of effort to persuade the other party to make an effort this time.

So, he felt he had a chance to finish in the top three.

But now, this chance is going to be slim again, because he has to accept the siege of three classes, and he doesn’t know whether Hikigaya’s class and the first-year D will participate.

Then by then, will be no way to compete.

“The classes that are willing to agree will transfer 2 million points to...” Hachiman looked at Hiyori.

“Please add me as your friend,” Shiina knew that he had a chance to succeed, and immediately became very confident.

Very quickly.

Three class representatives have added her as a friend. Then, transferred money.

There is no process of going back or raising points. A class was directly forced to pay 2 million.

They probably had already thought about not wanting their class to fall to the last place, and were prepared to arrange a class to be at the bottom.

“...We, Class 3-B, agree as well, can also hand in the item cards.” Kiriyama smelled his own sock and finally got cold.

“Then please transfer all item cards to Class 3A, Since, they cannot be used across grades, can I entrust all to you first?”

“Okay,” Asahina accepted it immediately, but in fact she was smiling a lot now.

Although it took some time, 3rd graders still paid the money.

When predecessors were about to leave.

“Don’t accuse me of bullying the seniors. This exam is very similar to forest exam. I can’t confirm whether it is a special exam for 3rd-year. Of course, if school wants you to compete and fight your way out, then I’m just doing necessary things for you to grow.”

This statement is really shameless.

But for seniors in 3rd grade, this kind of cross-grade exam was all based on their previous experience as third graders.

Just like how Kiriyama gave up just now, no class could accept being eliminated after just one round.

No one dared to gamble.

So, everyone fell silent.

“.....” Hiyori who actually witnessed this behaviour from the front lines.

“So, Hikigaya-kun, are we leaving now too?” she said, looking at the empty private room.

As someone who watched the entire discussion meeting, Shiina actually has some admiration for Hikigaya-kun.

Because he had just taken the money, but still said stuff, which made 3rd-graders feel embarrassed.

It seemed as if this exam was carried through for them by lower grades.

But this is probably because the seniors didn’t collect that much information.

This exam is not for 3rd year students, but for the 1st and 2nd.

Now, Shiina feels 3rd graders aren’t actually that strong.

At least, they, 2nd-year students, also went to collect intelligence.

Then, found out there was a genius in Class 3-B who was similar to Koenji Rokusuke.

The name is Kiryuin Fuka.

She has strong physique, but always keeps to herself and seems unwilling to contribute to the class.

But once such people are persuaded to contribute, the effect will definitely be very strong.

“Wait a moment, then Shiina-san, go get some drinks. I want coffee.”

“(?_?)” Hiyori blinked cutely, it seems to ask what are you doing? Are you ordering her now?

“Get ready for another round.”

’One reason I came to 3rd grade is to collect protection money, but that’s not everything. The 20 million points collected as protection fees also have to be used to pay cash compensation for 1st-year students who drop out of school, and the remaining part has to be shared with Ryuen and the others, with me only getting 70%. Therefore, real purpose was not this, but 3rd grader’s prop card. Someone needs to be arranged to collect and purchase prop cards for first and second grades.....The third graders just... handed over all directly. So this takes away all 3rd graders’ lead, Hitchhiking cards, and additional cards. Of course, I also said that after prop cards were taken away, 3rd graders could buy them back. But isn’t it me who has the final say on which ones to sell? So in this way, I can just keep the Hitchhiking and additional card. Lead card can be sold to Sakayanagi. It is a wave of harvest and can play many roles. Then profits can be maximized......’

So, now Hikigaya-kun actually likes this plan of dividing up school exams.

’But this kind of thing is not okay. Otherwise, I will end up like Nagumo and be excluded from school. The fact that Horikita Manabu was able to drop out Nagumo was definitely not just the president’s intention, but also school’s tacit approval....It is not okay to accept Nagumo’s behavior, which will only interfere with the school’s teaching philosophy....Therefore, this kind of intervention in entire exam for one grade can only be done once. But after all, there is only one chance, so we must do it big and as grand as possible!’

“Kawaii!!!” Girls who just heard Hikigaya-kun’s voice now screamed loudly, which caused him to look in confusion.

“....you should choose your words carefully, Hikigaya-kun!” Even Shiina-san now fiercely glared at him with a red face, and then directly ran away.

Hiyori bought milk tea, but seemed to be wiping her face with a cold towel.

Asahina-senpai, who had just left, came back.

When Hachiman saw Asahina, he felt for a moment that she and Ichinose overlapped.

Because two of them are somewhat similar in body shape and height, and also in appearance.

’Of course, Ichinose’s figure is better. But Asahina-senpai has a bit of innocence. I now understand a little bit why Nagumo values this childhood sweetheart so much.....’

“Hikigaya-kun, what do you think about this exam? If Trial Card can be bought back, then Kiriyama and others will definitely pay for it, or simply not pay and only submit an additional 500,000 points.....”

In other words, Asahina is looking at the issue from perspective of being the class representative of Class A.

“Regarding this point. I think Asahina-senpai, you haven’t fully understood essence of this school.”

“• ? •” Did you look down on me just now?

“This school values strength above all else, and many exams are also designed to develop students’ thinking abilities. But, Asahina-senpai, if you feel that you must be tied to 3rd-year Class A, you may grow, but I don’t think you can graduate as Class A in the end.”

“…..” This is really a negative comment, like denying her prowess!

But Asahina herself knew that if she didn’t have any achievements, would soon lose her status as the representative of Class 3-A, “....So, keeping me here now is giving me a chance to survive?”

“Yes. The prop cards of other classes and yours will be concentrated in your hands at that time. Among them, Lead, Hitchhiking card, and additional card are all retained. You can sell the other cards as you like, but I won’t take points from them. You can take it all.”

”Oh?” Asahina blinked slightly. There was actually such a good thing.

Although she felt that Hikigaya-kun and she were destined to be together, she was also very clear that he did not think so.

So, it is impossible to give such benefits for free.

“It was me who asked you to turn down the mission from Nagumo before. In fact, if you gather the points to buy him back, then your class will have a chance to continue to advance to A.....”

But 7 million points left by Nagumo have been returned.

“But didn’t you say that school decided to expel him...” Asahina shook her head slightly.

Because she also knew that Nagumo’s rule was contrary to class war that school wanted to see.

“But if this continues, Asahina-senpai will be under a lot of pressure. So my advice has always been that you collect 20 million points by yourself. And now is your chance to do so. But, in the process of gathering points, it’s impossible to rely on yourself alone.”

’I see. This means that my position can be won over by means of points of interest.....’ Asahina felt like she was slowly able to understand his language. I was worried about this junior, “So what do you want me to do?”

“Except for....cards I want, you can sell the rest at will. Then, I need you to arrange people so that each person can hold multiple prop cards, and then distribute Hitchhiking cards among them, so that each person holds one, and at same time, stack an additional card. That is to say, I want you to participate in the betting steps for Hitchhiking card before the exam begins. I want you to bet on first place.”

“Let me see,” Asahina was also asked by Hachiman to count item cards of the third graders.

Among them, only 110 students now.

There are 22 people on Lead, 33 on Hitchhiking, 2 Trial Cards, and the rest are other cards.

Perhaps school considers that number of third-year students is the smallest, so don’t want to reduce the number of students who have been trained for two years so easily.

So they were given preferential treatment.

There are more people with Hitch-hiking.

“If you want to take a ride and add an extra person, we can only provide 33. There are only 21 people in my class, so I will look for others.....”

“No problem, everyone needs to sign a contract. They need to follow instructions and place bets. Then, anyone who violates the contract will have to pay a penalty of 3 million. However, I can give everyone who signs the contract 50,000 to 100,000 yen, and you can get 100,000. Considering I’m not too familiar with the 3rd graders. So you try your best. If you can get more than 20 people, you can get 150,000 points per person. If you can arrange for 30 people to sign the contract, you can get 200,000 per person.”

“....” Asahina.

After hearing the conditions given by Hikigaya-kun, senior seemed a little dazed.

In fact, even Shiina was a little surprised. ’Because not to mention that prop cards can be sold, which means a sum of money, and then is signing of the agreement here to participate in bet, and an agency fee can also be charged. Although some labor costs may need to be deducted during the process, in the end, no matter what ranking Asahina-senpai gets in the exam, she can get a minimum of 6 million private points.....You know, 20 million is just 3 times 6! As a result, you completed one-third of other party’s 20 million plan with just one exam?! So to speak. Could it be that Hikigaya-kun actually has some feelings for Asahina-senpai? For example, treat it as a possible marriage partner.....’

’No no, I can’t think that way. Because just now I had misunderstood there was something going on between Hikigaya-kun and first-year student Yukinoshita. I should not always look at others with dirty eyes!’ Hiyori quickly decided to correct her bad attitude.

“Are you sure you want to pay me so much.....?”

“If you can meet the requirements I set for you. At the same time, you will be responsible for collecting the points you get after the exam.”

“.....” Asahina.

It was not until this point that Asahina understood why this Hikigaya could defeat Miyabi. ’Because other party is more greedy than Miyabi, and is also willing to spend more.....From this perspective, it was not unfair for him to lose.’

The first place winner gets 1 million private points, and someone will be arranged to place the bet.

The Hitchhiking card can get half of 1 million, but if additional card is added, you can get 1 million directly.

Amount is not 1 million. It also has to add top 50% and 70% rewards.

That is to say 100+5+1=1.06 million.

If you bet on one correct set, you can win 1.06 million!

And if the maximum amount given to her is 200,000 and the maximum amount arranged for someone to carry it is 100,000, then still a profit of 700,000!

’From this it can be seen that Hikigaya Hachiman, you know how to make money!’ But she couldn’t refuse.

Moreover, Hikigaya-kun treated her very well, allowing her to sell prop cards without any capital, and he earned 700,000 and gave her 200,000 as a reward.

Where can you find such a trustworthy job?

At the same time, she was also thinking, and even had some wild thoughts, because Hikigaya only earned 700,000 but was willing to give her 200,000.

Didn’t he really have other intentions?
