COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Flashback Continues

“I have already signed it,” Hosen said with a nod to himself, “If I lose, you can choose a month at your own will for the special exam. But I hope it’s as soon as possible.”

As soon as possible? Because evaluation score of Grade 1 Class D has been reset to 0.

Then Hosen himself confirmed that their D class would not be able to get any points in this month’s written examination.

Therefore, next month, all students in Class D of Grade 1 will not receive any living expenses from school.

Hosen still has the advantage of a class rating score of 0, he can do some illegal things.

“Okay. But you have something to return to me.” Hikigaya-kun looked at him with a cool gaze.

“Isn’t it just a recorder? I didn’t bring it with me. I’ll ask Nanase to hand it to you after work is done,” Hosen really wanted to become a pain in the ass.

“Okay,” But Hachiman was pretty composed.

But, Hosen always felt that he was in a bad mood, so he just got up and left.

But Ryuen hasn’t yet. Because there is a third agreement.

[When Hikigaya Hachiman joins the second-year D class, once evaluation score is maintained at 500 points, the excess and enough points will be redistributed.

Hikigaya Hachiman takes 70%, Ryuen alone takes 20%, and Shiina Hiyori’s small team alone takes 10%]

Then Hachiman’s name was signed.

However, there was a large space left for the signatures of Ryuen and the students in his class.

In other words, this agreement needs to be signed by all members of Class D, Grade 2.

“I have no objection,” Ryuen wrote the name directly.

’Although the share I occupy is small, there are still many classmates who can only receive 50,000 yen of living expenses per month.’ So, Shiina-san also wrote her name.

After writing his name, Ryuen stood up and left. He knew that Hikigaya would bring Suzune out, probably because he wanted to teach girl some lesson.

Go die! So, he hates couples.

However, he can take 20% of the points Hikigaya brings in. This income is still good.

’We are teammates now, so there is no need to cheat money from him. To be honest, I feel disgusting.... however, the mood is still good. Because Hikigaya specifically brought Hosen here to sign the contract, which means that he will be ready to rip Gorilla off severely! Kuku....’

The evaluation score of his class is 0.

Ryuen knew that he could collect money very well. This money was not the so-called hiring of a class, or deliberately collecting protection money.

It’s okay to do this once or half a time, but chances of being reported are too high.

And once they collect money, will not be able to cooperate with classes in the future, and others will no longer trust them.

It’s not that there’s no way around it.

It’s like an exam in forest.

Ryuen got 0 points in his class, but he still made a total of 12 million private points as first-year students, and no one reported it.

Because that was solution that everyone agreed to. That’s why Ryuen looks down on Hosen.

Hosen is still thinking about the small amount of money that Hikigaya commanded his first-year class D to pay each of them, 100,000 yen, a total of 4 million.

However, Hosen is a real fighting master.

Ryuen also knew that Hosen would definitely regard him as an opponent, so he still had to pay attention to security.

After Ryuen left the library, he immediately called Albert over.

“So……I’m leaving too.” Hiyori still has a keen eye. ’Although Horikita-san was called over by Hikigaya-kun, the agreement was signed, and only she did not....So it seems that boy has something to say to her alone. So, I immediately went to second floor of the library!’

Horikita Suzune was still sitting in her original position, and she looked at him with the same sharp eyes that she always used to look at him.

Hachiman put the agreement away and said, ”What do you want to ask?”

“There are many,” Suzune did not hide it, “From the agreement, you want to go to Ryuen-kun’s class because students there can restrain themselves, cooperate with exams, and then...”

She paused, “You will get a lot of points from the exam and class rating points, right?”

“Yes,” Hachiman did not deny this when she was being honest, “Ryuen’s class has this advantage. They have been trained by Ryuen and have been starving for most of the year, so I give them a monthly living allowance of 50,000. They feel satisfied....Among the four classes, ABCD, it is difficult for ours to get them to cooperate as a whole....For example, last year Koenji brought class victory in Deserted island exam. However, although everyone is still transferring money to Koenji, but as class evaluation score drops, if it goes below 1,000 points in the future, students may be unwilling to pay....The reason is probably they don’t have enough money to spend themselves.....”

From this perspective, Class 2-B is not good enough.

“I don’t want to argue with them. Besides, you know there are too many people lagging behind in our class, and it’s hard to keep the points. Sometimes I can’t think of a strategy to get everyone to pass, and make income.”

’So, you are still restricted....’ Suzune pursed her lips, “But Ryuen-kun is now willing to take out a loan and spend money to buy you. Does he have so much confidence in you?”

She felt that Hikigaya-kun would be a good fit in this school and could benefit from it. ’But does Ryuen-kun actually have as much confidence in Hikigaya Hachiman as I do? I feel a little dissatisfied. Because I usually hang out with him, I know what he’s thinking. But how come Ryuen-kun knows him so well?!’

”Yes, Or rather, he became more excited when he saw me and Hosen signing the contract.”

Oh? Suzune wanted to know when the two of them started working together.

Hachiman told her what happened.

“Actually……Ryuen’s class wanted to invite me to his class last year. I think he feels that he wants to make money, but there is a high probability that he will be cheated by me, so he feels that he can’t continue like this. But if I can be made into one of his own classmates, then he can keep his money first. The cause was probably the forest exam. His own class ranked last but got 12 million points. The points came so easily that he was surprised....Then, Ryuen also realized that as long as he didn’t become my enemy, or didn’t give me the opportunity to defraud him, then his money would be safe...Actually, that’s a bit too much. I never thought of cheating Ryuen out of all his income.....”

Horikita Suzune thought she should just listen seriously. ’Because of Deserted island exam at that time, you were concerned when you heard that Ryuen-kun and Class A signed a contract, have always been thinking about the agreement. Then, during the sports meeting, I cooperated withHiki--Hachiman to set up a trap. Then, Ryuen-kun was tricked, not only did the agreement disappear, but also owed 8 million yen...So I didn’t think he was saying the truth “I never intended to cheat Ryuen of all his income’

However, Ryuen was blackmailing her at the time and wanted to use her, so Suzune felt that he deserved it.

Hachiman continued to lecture her.

“Although this is Ryuen’s way of self-protection, I cannot deny that I am somewhat tempted. You know I’m a househusband with a goal, not graduating from Class A....So after completing Chabashira-sensei’s mission, what I need to do is probably just to play badly, then look for opportunities to make money, and then just muddle through, and prepare 20 million graduation points for someone who is willing to marry me and support me in the future.......As a result, Ryuen now showed me a way to get tens of millions, or even hundreds of millions of personal points....Then I was really tempted.”

I see.

“So, you’ve already prepared to go to Ryuen-kun’s class, and... started making plans to get the huge amount of points you mentioned,” Suzune felt that she had caught up with other person’s thinking.

“Yes....And key point is this special exam. The school broke with previous practice and directly conducted cross-grade assessments for two grades in first month. At the same time, it also directly told first-year students essence of it....Then, I infer there will be other cross-grade exams in the future. Scores should be more and larger than current ones. At the same time, rewards will be more attractive....For first-year students, it’s very easy to give up and drop out if they don’t get anything after taking difficult exams when they enter school...This situation is unacceptable to authorities. So if you want to take an exam beyond the syllabus, you have to offer corresponding rewards.”

’It’s like boiling a turtle in warm water,’ Suzune commented in her heart.

“So, that’s why you want to gamble with Hosen, and your goal is to take away command of his class, right?”

“Yes, If we continue to have cross-grade exams, and I have command of Ryuen’s, then will also have Hosen’s. At the same time, 3rd-year students are leaderless because of Nagumo-senpai’s withdrawal, but I can temporarily cooperate with the current leader of 3-A. That means I have the combat power of at least three classes..I believe that I can get a lot of points.”

I see. Suzune nodded.

“Of course, if I treat school as a scapegoat, that would be a slap in face of the board. That’s how Nagumo-senpai was expelled from school. So, I’m only going to do this once.”

“…” Suzune saw Hikigaya-kun’s ambition, “It’s not easy to get the complete obedience of Hosen or first-year D class.”

“It’s okay. Because Hosen is a very conceited, but still quite smart person. Originally I only had this outline, but when I saw his class uniform at the opening ceremony, I knew this plan could be implemented...Remember when Hosen found out about exam rules on the second day of school and came to provoke our class? I learned from Ryuen that both come from the same place....Then, probability of first-year D class becoming a Ryuen is not low. So, if we conquer Hosen, we can take away first-year class D. Then, I noticed that Hosen came to our class to provoke us.... but first person he paid attention to was Ayanokoji, who seemed to have a low presence. Even in our class, Ayanokoji only got title of being good at sports and an athlete....But other classes, such as first graders, have never seen Ayanokoji running, so it’s strange they would pay attention to him. So I took it to heart.”

Suzune with good brain kept listening to long speeches.

“We arranged for Ryuen to come over and provoke us, so as to deliberately cause Hosen’s class to lose points. On the one hand, I want to use his class, but they have too many points, so have bargaining chips, so I have to get rid of their packet first....Rest, he only got left with 166 points.”

I see, Speaking of which.

Horikita Suzune found this scene very familiar. It was last year, when they entered school.

On fifth day, Hikigaya announced the class evaluation scores.

Then, school had to tell everyone what it was really like.

However, he used the same operation to undermine confidence of Class D of first grade.

“On the one hand, it is used to test Hosen. As I said just now, he is concerned about Ayanokoji, and I received news that he was being expelled from school maliciously.”

Ayanokoji.

Suzune didn’t know much about him.

’That is, during sports festival, opponent was used as a secret weapon by Hachiman. But later on, I can see him occasionally talking to Ayanokoji-kun. But Hachiman didn’t tell me, so I didn’t ask. So, now this boy actually has some kind of trouble?’

Suzune thought that she would probably not ask. After all, this is someone else’s business, and she is not the kind of girl who would meddle in other people’s affairs.

“I judged that Hosen might have received a mission to expel Ayanokoji from school. Rewards may be great. Because after I gave him punishment, he deducted points again by kicking trash....So, when he asked about fighting, I gave him green light....He agreed without hesitation. So what he’s eyeing is probably not just those few class evaluation points, but large number of points from those who tasked him with expulsion.”

What? Suzune finally reacted.
