Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 491: Chapter 289: The God of Time and Space and William Prepare to Mine

Hill looked at the distressed William and smiled, ”But Your Majesty, can you find someone else like me who sells legendary equipment? I only want crystal stones in return.”

William’s eyes widened, and he sprang to his feet, ”Really? Just crystal stones? Market price?”

”Twenty percent more, or I’d be at a loss,” Hill calmly replied, ”If you want to trade other rare materials, then forget it.”

”No problem!” William said decisively, ”It’s just crystal stones, right? Worst case, I’ll have Time and Space dig them up! He’s been quite idle lately!”

Hill couldn’t help but glance at the frenzied King of Saral. He seemed to prefer calling the deity the ”God of Time and Space” instead of by his name.

Was there really an issue with that name?

Hill pondered for a moment. The God of Time and Space had previously split his divine soul and could even send the split portion back to Earth. This was clearly more than just luck.

At the very least, he could easily find the original world.

Indeed, awakening memories of a past life in this world meant that the God of Time and Space was no ordinary person.

Hill realized this might be the greatest secret of the Gods of Time and Space, but since the world’s will didn’t react much, it probably wasn’t a big deal.

From all appearances, the world was now completely safe.

William seemed very relaxed, his focus having shifted entirely to his duties as the King of Saral.

Hill was a bit puzzled. Why didn’t William proclaim his divine name and divinity?

Was he waiting until the world’s will could no longer tolerate it before igniting the divine fire?

Or was the world’s will willing to tolerate William to manage the Undead Tribe until the end?

Hill also thought, if he were the world’s will, after observing the Undead Tribe for so many years, he probably wouldn’t want to take on the burden of managing them either.

This wasn’t a normal world; the stress it had to endure was too much.

”Your Majesty, what kind of legendary equipment do you need?” Hill pondered for a while before directly asking William, who looked ecstatic without knowing why.

Was he fantasizing about the God of Time and Space mining?

Hill wasn’t sure if he should remind the overthinking king that, with space elements, the God of Time and Space didn’t need to lift a finger.

William rubbed his hands together, ”If you have it, I’d like three sets of knight armor first. Then two shields and two greatswords each.”

He did some calculations, ”If I need more, I’ll find you again. The crystal stones on hand are only enough for these items.”

Hill nodded and made a gesture with the ring on his hand.

”You take it out,” William motioned towards a long conference table he conjured, indicating Hill should place the items there, ”I’ve never restricted your use of the space ring.”

As soon as Hill laid out everything, Spencer, who had been silently sitting by, immediately ran over, circling the table behind William.

”This is undoubtedly Master Fran’s handiwork!” William exclaimed in admiration, ”These are traditionally crafted items, looking especially majestic, unlike the flashy designs you and Adrian prefer.”

Hill suppressed the urge to roll his eyes. William’s preferences must align with Fran’s.

A fan of the Steel Tide would naturally resonate with Fran, who loved the color silver.

”By the way, Hill,” William suddenly remembered, ”You mentioned having a semi-artifact in your message?”

”A Dwarf-made semi-artifact shield without a beast soul, perfectly usable,” Hill responded, showing him a shield.

It was an Elephant Shield, with a roaring elephant raising its trunk at the center.

The Dwarf who crafted this must have ventured into the wilderness to find a demigod elephant but unfortunately encountered an Earth Bear instead.

Being an evil faction dwarf who had just stolen the Metal System authority from the Goddess of the Earth, he was lucky enough not to be smashed into a meat patty by the Earth Bear.

”Is this also for sale in crystal stones?” William stared at the shield in amazement, ” What’s the price?”

The scales of the Temple of Time and Space couldn’t even calculate the value of a semi-artifact, as no one had ever sold a semi-artifact for crystal stones before.

”The scales should be able to derive an approximation,” Hill replied, ”Though semi-artifacts are priceless, I recall someone traded with Dwarves before.”

”You could just say it was the idiot God of Nobility,” William scoffed, ”He traded for a shield with a beast soul and used it for a long time! No wonder magical beasts despised him.

The Dwarves wanted to scam him back then, so the price was off.”

”Then just double that price for me,” Hill decisively commanded, ”I only want crystal stones of any kind, not necessarily space or attribute-less ones.”

William furrowed his brows, ”Are you planning to go to the World’s End?”

Hill nodded, ”I don’t know when the Earth Bear bloodline will mature. It’s best to be prepared.”

”This kind of bloodline summoning, you should be able to control it, right?” William asked curiously, ”Do you really want to go?”

”I am very willing to contribute to the revival of the Goddess of the Earth,” Hill sincerely replied, ”Moreover, I do belong to the Earth Bear family.”

William was stunned for a moment, ”Did the Earth Bear family acknowledge you?”

Seeing Hill silently nod, William’s mouth twitched, ”I really can’t understand a mage’s mindset. I heard that warlocks have to wrestle with their bloodline for a long time, so high-level warlocks either hate their bloodline or completely follow it.

You’re the first I’ve seen like this.

I remember you were quite wary of your bloodline before?”

”I was cautious because I didn’t want to lose myself completely,” Hill sighed, ”If I fully transformed into an Earth Bear, I would lose all my human memories and feelings. It might take years to regain them. This is because Earth Bears can easily become demigods, thus they might remember one day.

Other magical beast bloodlines would likely turn into wild beasts completely.

If it were demons or devils, that’s even worse.

Acknowledging the bloodline is because the actions of the Earth Bear align with my path.”

William thought for a few minutes, then nodded in understanding, ”Alright, although it seems quite complicated, I can understand.”

”I’ll take the semi-artifact,” William decisively said, ”I’ll let Time and Space mine! If he digs up enough, do you have more?”

”I also have a Rhino Shield, similar to this one,” Hill replied, ”And only Elf scimitars are left. I doubt Your Majesty would be interested?”

William extended his hand, ”I’m very interested; let me take a look!”

Hill glanced at William curiously, then threw out two pairs of scimitars.

One pair was identical in size; the other was one large, one small.

They were likely differentiated between dual blade rangers and archers.

William admired the exquisitely crafted Elf scimitars, then glanced at the nearby Dwarf Shield, deciding, ”Just let Time and Space stay on the resource star!”

”Your Majesty, you’re also interested in Elf weapons?” Hill asked curiously.

”Ah, Hill,” William said in an operatic tone, ”What could better demonstrate the bravery of a king than wielding the enemy’s weapons?”

”Your Majesty, don’t make people sick!” Spencer couldn’t hold back, ”Just admit you want to piss off the Elves!”

”Are the Elves coming?” Hill quickly reacted, ”They still dare to come?”

The last visitors were the Goddess of the Hunt! The Forest of the Elves lost three deities directly in Saral and still dare to come!

”That Elf Princess who’s never been sent out is likely coming this time,” Spencer said gloomily, ”Although under the guise of peace talks. So His Majesty likely wants to irk the Elves a bit.”

”Then His Majesty can use them first,” Hill decisively said, ”You can pay a portion as a deposit.”

Spencer helplessly looked over at his legendary shield.

It was clear Hill also disliked the Elves.

Although the money wasn’t any less, the fact that they could use it first made William feel like he was getting a great bargain.

His hands quickly shimmered silver, and piles of crystal stones appeared in front of Hill.

”Hill, quickly store them away. I remember the quantity of crystal stones. Rest assured, it will only be more, not less!” William said while transferring the stones from the royal treasury.

Hill took out a smaller ring and started collecting the crystal stones in batches. Although William acted magnanimously, Hill didn’t mind at all.

He could send this ring to the pendant for List to sort out, not needing to count them himself like William.

After handing all the crystal stones to Hill, William fell silent for a moment, sensing that even the deposits were probably not enough.

”Hill,” William said thoughtfully, ”Do you have other legendary equipment? Can I continue to pay only deposits?”

Hill was a bit surprised, ”There are two more pairs of shields and greatswords, and one set of armor left. My grandfather wouldn’t make knight equipment without reason. He only forged these few items for practice. The rest is for mages.”

”So you have a lot more,” William went quiet for a while, ”The Saral Royal Family also needs to collect some mage items. I currently have only mage-level items, and their quality isn’t as good as what you sold to the Undead Tribe!

Especially for the knights, Spencer and his group recently bought from your town.

Hill, you have no idea how much you’ve helped me! Mage equipment is much harder to make than knight equipment. Since you began providing it, the demand for our standard equipment has significantly decreased.

So, stay here for a few more days while I prepare the deposits!”

Hill wasn’t aware that his place not only hosted the Undead Tribe but also many Saral Nobles.

From Srei’s perspective, the Saral Nobles were no different from the Undead Tribe. Hill merely allowed non-evil faction natives direct entry.

As for the Undead Tribe’s standard equipment, Hill glanced at William. It seemed he was using divine power to manufacture it, which was why he found knight equipment easier to make.

For an Alchemist Master, mage equipment, which didn’t require forging, was indeed more manageable.
