Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 461: Chapter 260: Hill’s First Divine Artifact

Buried in his work, Hill was really startled.

He had activated the isolation array, so how could something suddenly fall down?

Hill tightened his grip on the magic scroll and peered out the door.

A strange sign had landed on his deck.

Although he didn’t know what it was, Hill could tell at a glance that it was from the Kind Alignment.

He blinked, his curiosity getting the best of him, and he stepped outside.

Once he approached the sign, he understood why something had smashed into it.

He could still sense the aftereffects of a dimensional rift.

For some reason, a dimensional rift had opened right on Hill’s deck, letting the sign fall through.

Crouched beside it, Hill released various detection spells and discovered that it was indeed an accident; at this point, luck no longer surprised him.

Hill picked up the sign.

Communicating with it was easy, but its identity gave Hill quite a shock.

He couldn’t help but slap his face, trying to clear his mind.

Isn’t this a Supreme God Talisman? Although it’s a lower-tier divine artifact, it’s still a divine artifact!

Hill could use it after all.

It was quite rare to find something that only those from the Kind Alignment could use in this world!

However, this item was not only for use by the Kind Alignment, but it was also aimed at the Evil Faction, and additionally, it required being on the earth.

Fortunately for Hill, who mastered the Law of the Earth, the second requirement was very easy to meet.

This item was really practical for Hill, especially when he needed to fight desperately, as his foes were generally from the Evil Faction,

and they might even be higher level than Hill.

This item could directly send an enemy to the hottest part of underground flames, burning even demons instantly.

Holding the Supreme God Talisman, the most important thing was that Hill could use it freely even if he left this world.

With it, Hill didn’t have to worry about encountering demons again after entering the starry sky.

Which deity had sent such a gift to Hill?

Standing at the bow of the ship, Hill sighed into the wind.

Glancing around, Hill smirked; there were still people flying above.

Hill had kept himself well hidden recently.

Not just to avoid assassins, but also those who would speak on behalf of sea monsters.

Some people always think that saying a few kind words costs nothing, and who knows, it might just work!

Adrian, who could directly contact Hill, hadn’t said a word, and Hill wondered how someone could be so bold.

The Kind Alignment in the fantasy world did not mean they would harm their own interests to help others.

The notion of the kind being bullied by others simply could not happen in this world.

Hill watched a few who flew past the white clouds seeking his sorcerer and couldn’t help but smirk.

He remembered the face of that woman, Angelica, a student of the Legendary Water System Sorcerer Alexis.

Did she think Hill was easy to persuade last time and wanted to stir up trouble again?

If Alexis thought Hill was easy to talk to after showing up in Agleya, then Hill could only think that his misfortune back then was his own doing.

The only thing that surprised him was that the Silvermoon Sorcerer, Abigail, also visited him once.

But after realizing she couldn’t find Hill, her reaction was clearly schadenfreude.

However, after leaving the cloud layer, she returned to her serious and slightly anxious demeanor.

While Hill didn’t know what had happened, it was clear that with the Sorcerer Tower Master absent, it was obviously the sorcerer area under Abigail’s responsibility that had received a visit from someone she had no choice but to deal with formally.

Abigail had hidden herself quite well, but she cast an illusion technique where she relaxed, which was precisely where Hill’s Cloud Ship was.

Hill’s new Cloud House, now a skilled disguiser, could emit its own clouds, with illusion magic arrays for camouflage, making them virtually seamless.

When the Cloud House’s clouds drifted out of the Central City area, it would add some clouds, create a new formation, and head in the opposite direction.

The only drawback was that the clouds were particularly dense, making others think it to be a good hiding spot.

It seemed that Alexis could not keep still and had come to Central City as well.

Abigail, not yet a legend, of course had to go through some hardship, being tasked to handle matters.

But Hill had only dealt with her once before disappearing, presumably the Sorcerer Tower Master had followed them, only she could prevent Alexis’s foolish actions.

But that person probably hadn’t given up hope, and now, it was the Water Sorcerers who were searching for Hill in the sky.

Hill had no plans to go out before he finished his own affairs, but if his weapon forging was completed and Alexis was still so unrelenting, Hill wouldn’t mind letting this Legendary Water System Sorcerer become the first ghost to fall to his weapon.

He returned to his room and slowly polished the rough cast, and when every filament of the alloy was soaked with the two great laws of earth and wind, he gradually began to divide it.

For him, when it was time to leave this world, many spells might not be usable anymore, but laws would always be able to communicate.

Only artifacts made using laws would still be useful in other worlds.

Although it was not possible to be completely unaffected like the Supreme God Talisman, at the very least, they would not lose their effectiveness.

Moreover, only the first demi-god artifact crafted by an Alchemist Master using a law would obtain the most special effects, so he kept the Water Law aside, planning to make a purely defensive gear later.

Hill was very meticulous.

This kind of cutting couldn’t use any tools, it could only rely on a little bit of slicing by emanating Hill’s spiritual power, and Hill couldn’t do it for long before he had to rest.

He always kept half of his spiritual power reserved, in case an error occurred midway, and his previous efforts were wasted.

Immersed in his work, Hill no longer cared about the outside world’s turmoil; making up to Agleya later would take some effort, but since he had already started, he could only continue.

In any case, there would be no major issues; those sea monsters simply couldn’t compete with Agleya, who was favored by the World Will.

Hill had never considered that Alice would cause trouble; to some extent, he still trusted Merkel to protect Alice.

But Adrian found himself a bit annoyed.

How come so many people again came to find him to reach Hill.

He indeed had friends among the sea monsters, but the Embroidered Crabs were not affected at all.

The Embroidered Crabs didn’t care about obeying the newly appointed Sea God, they were willing to sign a contract with the Undead Tribe.

So, as soon as there was trouble in the sea, they packed up and moved directly to the caves at the Youth Journey of the Wenjian World.

Those caves were large enough to accommodate their entire tribe, and since Agleya’s turbulence in the nearby seas wasn’t severe, if they didn’t want to fight her and fled to the seaside, she wouldn’t pursue them.

Her main targets were those magical beasts who claimed to be various Sea Gods, occupying the best parts of the ocean, and commanding countless subordinates.

Like the old sea turtle Hill was friends with, his position in the Deep Sea was so high that everyone yielded to him; how could he compromise just because he had good relations with Hill and could survive alright even under the Sea God?

Even though they knew that the Embroidered Crabs could contact Adrian, the sea turtle tribe didn’t say anything; in such power struggles, no one would yield.

Even if the ultimate outcome was either to surrender or to die without a burial place.

The sea monsters, presumably, hadn’t thought of asking Hill to tell Agleya to give up the fight but, instead, it was some humans, Water Sorcerers and Magicians who believed they had good relationships with sea monsters, who came knocking.

They hoped to use this situation to gain a higher status with the sea monsters and get more benefits.

In their eyes, the Sea God wouldn’t possibly have any dealings with them, only the sea monsters could bring them benefits, so of course, they hoped to maintain the status quo.

After all, they had reaped countless benefits from the ocean for over hundreds of thousands of years, and were reluctant to lose them just like that.

But Hill was not their real father, why should he do such foolish things that would harm his daughter’s interests?

Adrian had no intention of sending a message to influence Hill.

Adrian listened as the Legendary Water Mage in front of him went on and on, expressing hopes that Hill could persuade Agleya to maintain peace in the ocean and not be so aggressive. The sea monsters would eventually come around, so there was no use in rushing; it would only create trouble.

He just nodded to show he understood, then directly asked him to leave.

”If these clueless people come a few more times, His Majesty King William, I’m going to resign my position as the City Lord,” he said unapologetically, turning his head towards the Lord’s Mansion.

William’s figure appeared instantly, ”Is it really necessary to be so solemn? Don’t you think they bring a lot of amusement?”

”Your Majesty! If you have so much free time, why not take on some of my responsibilities?” Adrian glared at the man who claimed to be too tired to continue after just one battle, ”You should know how much the Undead Tribe has brought back! If I don’t have to manage it, then I really don’t mind spending some time listening to jokes.”

William’s expression turned serious, ”Rest assured, I will issue a royal decree that they must not enter the Lord’s Mansion without good reason. Anyone who disturbs my city lord for personal matters will have their rights to enter Central City restricted!”

”Your Majesty, what exactly do you want to see?” Adrian couldn’t help but ask.

”Didn’t Alexis come as well?” William chuckled, ”I want to know if Hill will simply kill him when he comes out.”

”Isn’t that very normal?” Adrian asked somewhat puzzled, ”Hill is not someone who hesitates to act. He indeed gives people a chance, but only once. He’s not a stranger to killing.”

”The Undead Tribe has been betting recently,” William said cheerfully, ”Only one-tenth of them bet that Hill, once provoked, would directly kill that Alexis.

I am a witness.

And I’m also a bit curious to see what a mild person like Hill would be like when he truly gets angry.”

Adrian shook his head; the king was generally good but was too ridiculously curious, always looking for gossip.

Unfortunately, Hill, ever patient, continued to not leave the house.

Nobody knew what he was still doing; the control over the Law of the Earth had already ended, and even the more perceptive Sorcerers could sense it.
