Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 457: Chapter 256: The Ocean Belongs to Agleya!

With Agleya’s voice, an oval-shaped barrier rose at the outer edge of the Central City.

Although the barrier was colorless and transparent, it still gave a feeling of being multi-colored and shimmering.

The different laws of the gods were revealing their brilliance simultaneously, welcoming the addition of the Sea God.

A dark blue light shot directly inside.

Adrian had indeed been informed that outside the Central City, there was a protective barrier, and William had to set it up himself.

However, he truly did not know that this defensive shield was actually a combined effort of all the gods.

No wonder William so readily gave up the outer city.

No, it should be said, no wonder he was willing to allow an outer city to exist in the Central City.

In William’s original design, the area outside the city was meant to be gardens and green spaces.

”The center of the world does indeed greatly amplify the power of the gods,” William muttered, then suddenly startled, turning toward the study and shouting, ”Goddess Agleya, please stop! It’s enough! More power is not always better!”

After Agleya stopped, she swiftly disappeared from everyone’s perception.

She knew very well that Hill would never praise her for doing this.

After all, even if others didn’t know, Hill, who was very familiar with divine power, would certainly know about the divine defense system outside the Central City.

Yet he never said anything to Agleya, clearly indicating that he completely did not want Agleya to intervene.

Hill was very willing to fight for humanity, but he did not believe Agleya had this obligation.

Although Agleya didn’t like her love-above-all-else parents, without them, Agleya would not have been so favored by the world.

When she grew up, she would surely understand. Maybe her parents didn’t love her the most, but they did everything they could for her.

Hill always hoped that before Agleya officially grew up, she would not be entangled too much with the ground.

Nor did he want her divine power to be analyzed too quickly.

Hill was always worried that after these mages analyzed Agleya’s Water Law, they would bypass her and control the world’s oceans in reverse.

The Law belonged to Agleya, but there were many legendary mages who controlled the Water Law.

Agleya understood Hill’s worries and liked his meticulous protection.

But Agleya wanted even more to protect her Hill Dad.

When just a bit more power could make her Hill Dad safer, why not do it?

Agleya was not afraid of those mages!

As long as it was the world of water, it would be her domain!

Agleya, clad in a water-colored robe, walked proudly through the palace of the Divine Kingdom, and the Moon Elves handling affairs respectfully greeted her as she passed.

In Hill’s eyes, she was just a good child, but in the eyes of others, she was already a very powerful Main God.

Sitting quietly on her throne, Agleya looked at Hill through an ice crystal. Even in such a chaotic moment, her little ice crystal was firmly held in Hill’s arms.

She couldn’t bear it any longer.

Agleya’s Divine Fire burned fiercely.

The group of demigods in the sea should know what it was to be in awe!

If her power could be as strong as that foreign deity today, her Hill Dad would live much better than that foolish Elf King!

William tilted his head and sensed Agleya fleeing quickly, unable to suppress his laughter: ”Adrian, Hill seems to be a surprisingly strict father! I thought he would be especially indulgent to little children.”

”Hill always believed that the best love is to let one survive without depending on anyone else.” Adrian glanced to the side, ”Mages generally treat their children this way.

They usually guide their children into the door of the mage profession, and then it’s up to the children whether they discipline themselves or not.

Of course, when we talk about the mage’s door, we mean the mage stage, not the mage apprentice.

The mage profession is entirely reliant on oneself.

Teach the basics well, and the rest depends on personal understanding.

However, Hill would manage a bit more.

When Alice came of age, Hill let her make her own decisions. Even if he didn’t like it, he would not reject Alice’s choices.

But Agleya has not grown up yet, so Hill doesn’t want her to deal with too many external troubles.

Hill always hoped both his daughters could live freely and independently.”

William smiled faintly, so freedom was the most crucial thing for mages, huh?

Even Adrian, considered a very rule-abiding mage, spoke of freedom as the benchmark for a mage’s authority.

They valued self-reliance too much.

For instance, in the matter of the Mage Association this time, although these mages reacted fiercely and killed decisively.

William could still pick up on something that made him uncomfortable from their conversations.

In the eyes of mages, even if someone chose to fall into depravity, it was their free choice, and no one would stop them.

So the mages would kill the fallen comrades but not negate their choices.

William shook his head.

Gods and mages, indeed two sides of the law?

For someone like him, even though he thought mages were quite carefree, he would never choose this profession.

If there were no path of the divine, he also felt that knights suited his preferences more.

Strong responsibility made it impossible for William to turn a blind eye.

William glanced again in the direction of the Forest of the Elves: That Elf God King who had his life extended by his parents, this time really couldn’t act against him.

The God of Time and Space had already gone to see the fragmented planet, even though he could only observe from afar outside the world, it was indeed much more solid.

Thanks to those Earth Bears planting trees, around the crack, the land underneath was hollow.

If it were not for planting large swaths of fir trees to stabilize the area, the earth would have continued to crack.

Even if Coron intervened, he wouldn’t be able to repair it completely.

However, the Earth Bears seemed to be deceived too many times and did not leave the world’s end, nor did they have any external needs.

Others had no way to contact them.

Even the incarnations of deities could not walk past amid so many conflicting laws.

The Earth Bears pretended to be oblivious, even if news was sent in, they always acted innocent.

Only when the world recovered sufficiently and the Goddess of the Earth awakened, would these Earth Bears reconnect with the world perhaps?

The God of Time and Space was very excited, constantly muttering.

He had just circled the planet once.

Now, four-fifths of the world was complete.

William thought for a moment and then smiled at the people still on the deck: ”I should set off for the Dwarf Kingdom.”

Spencer couldn’t help but ask: ”Didn’t you say you would go later?”

”At that time, I thought this war would last for several centuries.” William sighed, ”The laws of the world in their hands kept the gods on edge.

What we cared about, others treated as weapons.

So the gods could not participate in this racial war, only blocking the dwarf deity system from above.

The top-tier combat forces among the humans couldn’t move casually either.

But the dwarves dared to deploy demigods directly!

But now, half of the laws that could blow up the world were back in the hands of the world.

That half was still very dangerous, but at least it wouldn’t end in mutual destruction.

The dwarves understood that now they worried about our counteractions!

If...”

William suddenly turned around, looking in the direction of the sea.

”Your Majesty? What’s the matter?” Spencer noticed William only said half a sentence, realizing something significant had occurred.

”Agleya!” William said softly, ”The sea is not a place that can be entered casually anymore.

What terrifying wind and waves.

A Sea God who understands the Wind Element Laws, who can resist her on the sea?”

Adrian glanced nervously at William, then at the silent Hill in the room.

”She hasn’t come down, has she?”

”No, she just made an endless storm on the sea.” William looked at the tense Adrian, ”The chain storms Hill is best at are raging across the sea.

The seas are full of whirlpools. Agleya is teaching the sea monsters who don’t listen to her a lesson.”

Adrian immediately calmed down.

He knew very well what Hill’s storm was like.

No matter how Agleya made it wind and rain or created whirlpools, as long as Hill stayed put, everything would be fine.

Otherwise, he truly worried Hill would abandon his understanding of the laws to find Agleya.

As for the sea monsters, let them have their bad luck! Trying to wrest control of the sea from the Sea God, they were bound to be punished sooner or later!

”Aren’t you very friendly with some sea monsters?” Spencer asked him, surprised, ”You don’t seem worried at all.”

”The Embroidered Crab has a safe place to hide.” Adrian laughed, ”Agleya would not harm lands with cities, at most causing big waves.”

Spencer remembered that Adrian had a good friend in the Undead Tribe, and the Embroidered Crab was closer to that undead.

”That city is very safe?”

”An alchemy castle on the cliff, very secure.”

”Would all sea monsters hide there?”

”The sea monsters going there must sign a contract, listening to humans or gods, they can choose themselves.” Adrian couldn’t help but glance at Spencer, ”Why do you care about this?”

”The city I used to govern as the City Lord is by the sea!”

”Agleya is a good kid, she wouldn’t harm cities. But she can’t control what the sea monsters want to do.” Adrian tried to be as objective as possible.

”Your Majesty!” Spencer became anxious. His city was not an undead one, not that sturdy.

”Just issue a mission to the Undead Tribe.” William said calmly, ”At most, some brainless legendary beasts will run to the Saral shores.

Even if those demigods fear Agleya, could they afford to offend the Gods of Time and Space?

A demigod is not a god, they can be killed too.

At worst, take some more time, the Undead Tribe can handle it, post the mission!”

”Adrian, take us down.” Spencer said decisively, ”Anyway, you’re going to the Lord’s Mansion, take us along!”

Adrian smiled helplessly; Spencer could fly down briefly, but Belter couldn’t.

He directly pulled out his airship and docked it beside, ”Please transfer to this ship!”
