Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 477: Chapter 275 End! The Future Accompanied by the Abyss

Fran couldn’t help but also size up Agleya.

Just at the moment he turned his head, the little girl had quietly grown taller by a head. She was now a fifteen-year-old girl.

It proved that she had received a lot of feedback from the world during this Dwarf siege campaign.

Indeed, deities needed to contribute to the world to ascend quickly.

Now when Fran spoke to Agleya, he only needed to look down, not bend over.

Agleya stretched out her arms and legs in surprise, then spun in a circle.

Fran directly took out a full-length crystal mirror from his pendant.

Agleya happily looked at herself and Fran, then solemnly drew two lines on the mirror, one for her and one for Fran.

She looked up at Fran excitedly: ”I’m now up to Dad Fran’s chest! Soon, I will be as tall as Dad Fran.”

Fran laughed and watched as Agleya put away the mirror and took out a shell for her: ”These are some things I made for you recently, including many pieces of legendary equipment made from Water Materials. Remember to give them to the Moon Elves.

There are also some weapon blueprints suitable for them; remember to make some and distribute them according to merit.”

The weapons and equipment that Agleya made directly with divine power would at least be demi-god artifacts. The Moon Elves, being only demigods, would definitely find them sufficient.

Most would use legendary equipment, but those most loyal to Agleya, who did the most for her, would still need to stand out a bit.

Agleya, being very clever, immediately understood what Fran meant and smiled as she nodded: ”I’ll go back and make a set for Xerthis first; he’s done a lot for me recently.”

Fran smiled and nodded, saying bluntly: ”I’m going back with Grandpa. What about you, Agleya? How much longer will you stay here?”

He sensed Fran was already becoming a bit impatient, and the Legendary Mage watching from the side wasn’t making him feel any more willing to be chatty.

Fran knew that as long as he turned his head and smiled politely, those Legendary Laws would start trying to draw him in, treating him with the same politeness and respect they showed Fran.

This was the status a Legendary Alchemist Master deserved.

However, Fran was unwilling. From arrogance to later humility, it was meaningless to him.

Fran never felt that being belittled then fighting back was a good thing. To him, if someone really offended him, any further dealings would likely result in completely eradicating the other party.

”I’m going back to the Divine Kingdom too!” Agleya said nonchalantly, ”The remaining matters have nothing to do with me. I might as well go back and play with fish!”

The little girl looked up abruptly and cautiously watched Fran’s expression.

Fran said expressionlessly: ”Agleya, I never mind your mischief, but you can’t harm yourself while doing it. If you do it again, I’ll send everything I’ve made for you to Alice.”

Even a fool could tell that from Agleya’s various tests, Fran realized she was overly concerned with Alice.

If Alice had something and Agleya didn’t, even a piece of grass, Agleya would go mad.

Agleya went pale, stammering: ”I... I! I will be... good... mm~... good.”

Fran smiled: ”There are some entertainment facilities I made for you in the shell. Only you have them, Agleya, so enjoy!”

Agleya suddenly became excited: ”Okay~ Thank you, Dad Fran!”

”Then I’ll head back. You should return to the Divine Kingdom as well!” Fran smiled with narrowed eyes.

”I’ll escort you, Dad Fran!” Agleya looked around, ”These people’s gazes are so annoying.”

Fran knew Agleya was a very sensitive child. She would never like the prying eyes of those Legendary Laws.

To ease her worry, Fran readily agreed to let Agleya send him and Fran into the World Membrane.

The deities were already dispersing slowly. Only the God of Time and Space and the Sun God remained talking, probably discussing some matters related to the Abyssal Evil Gods.

It seemed the God of Time and Space knew more about these matters than Fran did, though it might also be because William was more familiar.

Whether it was the previous female Evil God or this Lich, it was evident they were mere avatars. The occasional words from the Sun God suggested they were asking whether these beings would invade this world in their true forms.

After all, there was still an Abyssal Gate within the world that couldn’t be closed.

Although only those below legendary level could enter now, who knew if one day, stronger enemies above demigod level might not enter?

Before the Goddess of the Earth awakened, probably only the controller of the Space Law could sense the Abyssal Gate more accurately.

Fran didn’t know what those Legendary Laws intended to do, lingering outside the Starry Sky without moving.

Fran remained silent, quietly following beside him, watching Fran’s interaction with Agleya.

Only when Fran and Agleya bid farewell did he finally speak: ”Fran, should you return to the Magic Tower?”

”My Cloud Ship is still below. I’ll retrieve it and then head straight back.” Fran turned to ask Fran, ”Is there something, Grandpa?”

”I’ll head back to my place first.” Fran took out the fragment and twirled it in his hands, ”See if this thing can spark any inspiration. Hopefully, I can modify the Magic Tower you gave me. I’ll come find you after that, so head home early!”

Fran nodded in agreement.

Aurelio returning to the World’s End and then coming back would take at least a year. He had nothing urgent to deal with in a short time.

As long as the Abyssal Gate wasn’t broken, it required no further attention from him.

Fran and Fran entered the World Membrane together but returned to different locations, as the world would only allow them to go back to where they came from.

When Fran got back to the Cloud Ship, he suddenly smiled. He finally understood why those Legendary Laws looked at him with such longing eyes.

The Furnace Artifact fragments could be obtained by anyone, but the fragments tainted by the Abyssal aura weren’t usable by just anyone.

Unless Fran purified them.

Or they could seek out the Sun God.

Fran flipping the fragment in his hand before entering the world was showing off.

They could ask Draculus to construct a Purification Array for them! Although it would take at least three years to successfully purify, it wasn’t impossible.

Purifying a Divine Artifact required at least a Legendary Alchemist Master.

There were only a few such people in this world.

And the other one Fran knew would definitely not cooperate with people from the Mage Association.

Rettel Muen, who resided in Central City.

The high-ranking members of the Mage Association, who once acted recklessly with their powerful influence, could finally understand human kindness after the association dissolved.

Fran knew that his journey to Central City had finally come to an end.

It was time for him to pack up and go home.

Fran walked to the top floor and retrieved the semi-divine artifact painting back into his pendant.

On his return, he had seen hillsides covered in flaming sunflowers. The painting was no longer that important; Fran could take it with him.

Someone had added another layer of powerful divine protection around his Cloud Ship a few hours earlier, likely something William did before leaving after the battle in the Starry Sky ended.

As soon as Fran entered, the divine power dissipated instantly.

Although Fran had taken comprehensive precautions before leaving, ensuring that anyone who dared board the ship without his permission would be knocked out and drained by the Demigod Vine, he was still somewhat surprised by William’s thoroughness.

Standing on the deck, Fran saw that William’s King’s Ship was no longer at its original spot but at the foot of the mountain.

Surrounding the giant volcano, several small and large temples had been constructed in varying arrangement: the largest open space in front once belonged to a small town attached to the Dwarf Capital. Now it had been completely leveled, with two parallel temples built.

On one side was the Temple of Time and Space, and beside it, the Sun God Temple.

To the left of the mountain was the Silvermoon Temple, and on the right, Fran paused. Although there was no divine glow, there was a fragment of a World Tree Artifact placed at the entrance.

It was a tall white wax tree.

It was so tall that from the treetop, one could see the entrance at the volcano’s mouth.

Only someone like Fran, who had contact with a World Tree Fragment, could recognize the tree’s true nature.

But a white wax tree was almost a legendary form of the World Tree’s true form.

Teraxil’s Goddess of the Earth, no wonder she could directly ask the real World Tree for seeds—this was a favored son! No wonder Coron treated Teraxil so well. He was never that kind-hearted; just managing his son was challenging enough. He even helped weaken the Dwarf Deity System to such an extent, which was indeed a rare outbreak of compassion.

If Teraxil’s status was different and it had a good relationship with the World Tree, a friend like Coron wouldn’t want to start conflicts over something so trivial.

It was unclear if it was the Sun God or the Goddess of the Silvermoon who specifically left room for the Goddess of the Earth.

He didn’t know whether the Goddess of the Earth’s awakening was imminent.

Fran felt a surge of joy: the tough days for the Earth Bear were coming to an end!

Between the Sun God Temple and the Earth Temple was the small temple of the Goddess of Agriculture.

And between the God of Time and Space and the Goddess of the Silvermoon was the small temple of the God of Knowledge.

On the volcano’s back side, at the center, was Agleya’s temple. Though it also had no divine glow, Agleya’s trident stood planted in front of the temple, announcing which deity would inhabit this territory in the future.

There was a semicircular layout there; on Agleya’s left were the Temple of Nobles and the Love Temple, and on the right was the God of Contract—a cluster of small temples.

There were a lot of vacant spots, probably reserved for future Main Gods and human deities.

The other temples showed no activity, but the large square in front of the Temple of Time and Space was bustling.

The Teleportation Array had been built, and a large number of Undead Tribes were coming and going, with many alchemy huts set up around the square. Many people were also setting up stalls in the middle.

Fran was momentarily dazed. Had he left for a few days or a few weeks?
