Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 463: Chapter 262 Hill Living from Paycheck to Paycheck

Adrian left quickly. Recently, Central City had a lot of affairs, and he was extremely busy. Staying this long was already his limit.

Knowing that his teacher was simply unwilling to respond rather than unable to, Adrian felt relieved.

He did not want his teacher to one day return to the embrace of the Half-Elf Queen.

If it were an ordinary Half-Elf Demigod, Adrian didn’t mind.

But a queen represented endless trouble.

He didn’t want his teacher’s starlight path to end like that.

Even if they went far away and never saw each other again, that was Fran’s eternal pursuit.

Hill tossed the magic book he had copied to Adrian, earning a look of amazement.

So many Earth Law spells!

For Adrian, who loved alchemy, being able to grasp the Law of the Earth during his legendary status would be fantastic.

Watching Adrian almost skip away, the two people on the cloud ship somewhat understood his mindset.

They couldn’t help but share a smile.

Although concern could lead to confusion, at least all seemingly foolish actions stemmed from the most sincere care.

”Is Grandfather planning to stay here in Central City?” Hill asked, leaning his head out.

”No,” Fran shook his head, ”I’ll come when His Majesty the King is truly set to attack the Dwarf Kingdom Capital.”

Hill laughed, ”Grandfather, do you want to see their artifact that can move freely in the starry sky?”

”Of course,” Fran said leisurely, leaning on the chair, ”The Dwarf matter will end soon. Then I’ll set off. If I can get some inspiration from that artifact, that would be great.

Safety first when traveling.”

He glanced at Hill, ”What about you? When do you plan to leave?”

”After the Goddess of the Earth revives,” Hill lowered his head, ”I might go to the world’s edge for a while.”

”Have those bears found you?” Fran reacted keenly.

”Do many people know?” Hill lifted his head, ”Why hasn’t anyone helped them?”

”Humans appeared too late,” Fran sighed, ”The Earth Bears no longer trust anyone outside their tribe. They rarely come out, and no one can go in either.

The Law of the Earth is chaotic there; even deities can’t enter.

Only the Earth’s children can survive there.

You should understand that this planet’s support comes mainly from the Earth Bears.

The chaotic laws fall on them, reportedly weakened to one-tenth.”

Hill remained silent.

Many times, he suspected that the world’s special treatment toward him was because of his Earth Bear bloodline.

”I originally thought you would follow me to the starry sky not long after,” Fran said with a bit of regret, ”but the world has been very good to you, even without expecting anything in return.

According to my prediction, with your luck, you’d owe this world a lot, so I didn’t want you to rely on luck for things.

But you haven’t accumulated any debt at all. You’re still clean, which only proves that the world wants only to bless you, never to seek any return.

So, it’s not wrong for you to act this way.

It doesn’t need your repayment, but that doesn’t mean you can just walk away.”

Fran patted Hill on the head, ”However, Hill, I still hope to see you on the road rather than discovering someday when I look back that you haven’t moved.”

Hill suppressed his emotions and nodded vigorously, ”Don’t worry, Grandfather! Only a little bit is left! I want to go, hoping that my Nature’s Blessing can help the land recover faster.”

”Can your body handle it?” Fran asked concernedly.

”The Earth Bear bloodline will tell me when I can go, so I plan to prepare my weapons and armor first.” Hill glanced at the beautiful scenery below the ship, ”I plan to tell Uncle Adrian then that I am preparing for the starry sky.”

”That’s the only way to tell him,” Fran shook his head, ”But from what I felt this time seeing him, he seems much more motivated than before. Maybe, before you leave, he will figure out his own law.

If Adrian can become legendary before you head to the starry sky, that would be the best.

We’d all have fewer worries; no amount of support is as reliable as oneself.”

Fran stood up, ”Are you planning to continue crafting armor? Have you had an idea?”

”Yes, I have an interesting concept,” Hill said without blinking, ”I’ll go back with Grandfather and show you the blueprints. I don’t need them anymore.”

He had to return for the crystal stones.

The ones on the cloud ship would last for half a month at most.

Hill never imagined that in this world, he would ever have to wait for a salary to get by.

Although Fran found it a bit odd, as this could have been handed over to the Undead Tribe,

he thought Hill might be exhausted from crafting demi-god artifacts and wanted to move around. So he nodded and agreed.

Hill pulled out another Earth Magic Book, handing it to Fran.

Fran couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows. No wonder Adrian was so happy.

Hill had guessed correctly. Fran intended to stay in the Magic Tower for a while to research earth magic.

Although there were few wood magic spells, he knew many metal and earth spells, and he was very familiar with the laws.
