Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 455: Chapter 254 My World, Originally Called Teraxil

Hill couldn’t help but be stunned for a moment, then fell silent again.

It sounded like William was planning a trip to the Dwarf Kingdom, wasn’t he?

Not sure if he had any important discoveries, but the God of Smithing certainly wasn’t worth the risk for William to venture there.

Although it seemed there was no need for secrecy, otherwise Spencer would not have mentioned it so casually, Hill still didn’t want to casually discuss others’ political affairs.

All the guests were seated, and the sky above the distant Forest of the Elves was still shining with a kaleidoscope of light.

In recent years, it seemed that humans had grown accustomed to the way of live viewing particular to the Gods of Time and Space. Especially Saral, who simply hired a member of the Undead Tribe for a 360-degree view at will, almost forgetting that miracles required long and arduous journeys to witness.

Many people were quite interested; numerous ships had risen into the air above Central City.

It was just that the warm-up time was a bit too long.

Adrian glanced at Hill.

He felt that something must have happened recently.

In the past, if someone visited, Hill would have set out tables of drinks and food, warmly entertaining his guests, but this time there wasn’t even water.

Furthermore, although Hill was smiling and welcoming, he kept a certain distance the entire time.

Adrian had intended to bring out a few bottles of fine wine to share with Spencer and the others, but now he had given up the idea; it was becoming more and more troublesome.

Adrian felt life was much more comfortable before Central City was built; once the city was finished, the visitors increased.

The too complex composition of people required even Hill to act with extreme caution.

Adrian understood; if a Nature Warlock couldn’t be sure of the absence of toxins, then he was even less likely to risk it.

Probably it was an issue with the Dwarves. Hill said nothing, probably because there would be no trouble as long as it wasn’t near him.

Amusing himself with the thought, Adrian presumed he wasn’t worthy to be targeted with toxins potent enough to kill a deity.

Only Hill, who could potentially be assassinated by a Demigod wielding a Divine Artifact on behalf of the Dwarves, would have this dubious honor.

A majestic crescent badge suddenly projected above the Forest of the Elves, emitting a silvery glow that captured everyone’s attention.

Soft, graceful music also reached everyone’s ears, and Hill even caught a waft of fragrance drifting over from the Forest of the Elves.

Hill sat silently on the couch, reflecting that the Elven God King was apparently doing more than just marrying the new Empress.

The crescent badge was not something to be casually displayed.

Using a Divine Artifact from Coron to marry a wife, unless the Elf God King wanted to be chased out by his own father.

The silver light sparkled, and the Elf King materialized in the sky.

He was indeed very handsome, with silver-blue hair, both splendid and supple, cascading down like a waterfall at his feet.

Silver Lake shimmered in his eyes, and his slender figure was filled with a sense of power.

He was dressed in a sky-blue robe and extended his left hand toward the ground.

Elf Princess Trenna Tedel, accompanied by the four Wood Elemental Lords, ascended into the sky, her sweet face full of shyness, and her right hand gently resting on the Elf God King’s hand.

This time, Hill finally got a good look at those Wood Elemental Lords.

Though they did not seem very happy, they did not seem saddened either.

They probably felt as though it was a job they were not particularly satisfied with, but they could still carry on.

Moreover, their attitude towards the Elf Princess was quite friendly.

Hill pursed his lips, thinking that the Elf Princess was likely one of those Elves discovered to have natural talents.

These children discovered with such talents would be nurtured by the Forest of the Elves to become Priests of the Deities, rather than awakening as Druids who would never return.

As long as they did nothing to wrong Nature, the Natural Consciousness would still cherish them a little.

But these so-called Nature Priests, previously just a tool to appease the Wood Elemental Spirits, how had they suddenly risen in status?

”Under the gaze of my father, I, Teraxil Elf King, protector of the Teraxil Elves, Westaria, hereby take the Lady of Nature, Trenna Tedel, to be my wife, for three thousand years as the Teraxil Elf Queen, and after three thousand years, she shall enter my Divine Kingdom to become the God Queen of Teraxil Elves.

May we forever be hand in hand.”

”I respectfully abide by my king’s will,” Trenna Tedel smiled sweetly, her eyes filled with adoration, ”My hand will forever be offered into your palm.”

Above their heads, the crescent Holy Emblem shone, forming a cocoon of light around the Elf King and the Goddess Queen.

A clear connection was established between them.

And the Elf Queen, Trenna Tedel, was clearly transforming into a divine being.

Though the process was painfully slow, perhaps due to the reason the King said she needed to stay on the ground for 3000 years.

But everyone could feel that the powerful Divine Power bursting from the badge was directly pouring into the body of the Elf Queen.

Over at Central City, there was a hushed silence; everyone was a bit shell-shocked.

It was the first time in this world it was known that one could transform directly from a mortal to a deity!

It turned out that becoming a deity was not only the practice of the soul entering the Divine Kingdom post-death to become a Saint and then struggle to become a Divine Subordinate!

The price might have been costly, so the Divine King might have been willing to use it just this once, but indeed it added some worldly wisdom to this provincial planet.

”So the Elf Queen is still alive? Wouldn’t this make some people furious?” Adrian opened his mouth wide, his face full of amazement.

The Elven God King truly is a despicable one! Such an utterly pure form of wretchedness!

If this is the correct way to harness the power of the God Queen of Elves, what about the previous two?

Trial Queens?

”Would he be furious if alive, and outraged if dead?” Spencer murmured softly, ”Indeed, elves are the real scum! Something even humans cannot learn to be.”

However, Hill fell into another line of thought, ”The Teraxil he mentioned, is he referring to our world, or his original one?”

”It should be ours.” William suddenly appeared on the cloud ship, ”this is also the first time I know that our world has a name.

The name of the world is only true when the World Will itself speaks it.

When the elves and dwarves first entered, the World Will probably hadn’t completely collapsed. They might have been slightly hindered by the world, so the world reported its name at that time.

However, the reawakened World Will is clearly incomplete, hence it can’t even remember its own name.

The elves and dwarves are afraid that it would recover! Of course, they’re not willing to speak of it.”

Moreover, the dwarves came later than the elves. Perhaps they don’t know.

”So, the Elven God King is ensuring his place in this world, isn’t he?”

Hill ignored him.

The World Will awoke, and the Natural Consciousness with it!

There, the Elven God King received what he wanted.

A sliver of feedback for awakening the World Will.

The Elf Queen known as the Lady of Nature also received a sliver of blessing from the Natural Consciousness.

Although the Natural Consciousness did so unwillingly, it still blessed her in the end.

Listening to the Natural Consciousness making a fuss about the grudging blessing as it returned to him, Hill couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

The Elven God King too was smiling, filled with pride and satisfaction.

”From now on, our elves will no longer be divided into Wood Elves, Gold Elves, Silver Elves, and Dark Moon Elves. There will only be the Teraxil Elves.

Within our race, no more strife is allowed. Coron does not appreciate infighting among elves.

In the world protected by the World Tree, my elves, please live freely!

The world has recognized our name!”

”Has he changed his brain?” William couldn’t help asking, ”Has he turned into a different person? It does not sound like something he would say or do.

It’s as if the World Will can only suffer this loss silently!

No wonder he has never worried, thinking after I’m done with the dwarves, I’ll go settle the score with the elves!

The Dark Moon Elves really walked a lonely path!”

”Your Majesty, the people here may not be as familiar with elves as you are,” Hill stated indifferently.

William was thinking too simplistically.

Right now, the Dark Moon Elves would only be relieved that they left.

Especially Half-Elf Queen Viola, who would only be glad she chose a good time to go out and establish her own kingdom.

Even if the elves secure their place in this world, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ll be able to reestablish relations with humans immediately.

As middlemen, the half-elves will definitely be able to hold on.

No matter how many cold shoulders they might face, it is still better than living as inferiors in the Forest of the Elves.

If it were after this future Elf Queen had ascended, they would probably not dare leave, no matter how much they suffered.

That would not just be slapping the Queen in the face; it would be a direct slap on the face of the Elven God King.”

Perhaps at that time, the Elven God King simply planned to change the Dark Moon Elves’ name first, then gradually integrate the several races of the Forest of the Elves.

After all, a divine child’s power is not his alone; he also needed to leave some dignity for the nephew of the God of Archery.

In his heart, they are all Teraxil Elves in the end; there’s no need to fret over a temporary name.

But for the Dark Moon Elves, who were given a name purely out of spite, the pain they suffer now is all too real.

Whether it was due to the former Elf Queen’s antics or not, at the very least, after the Goddess of the Hunt fell, the Elven God King truly no longer saw them as equals to the elves.

Being named as casually as one would name a pet is what drove them mad.

No matter how elves appear on the surface, their pride runs deep.

In human eyes, what can be temporarily tolerated is absolutely unbearable to them.

Just like those Dark Moon Elves, they would rather wander the wilderness bearing the shame of their name than return to the Forest of the Elves and live falsely under a new name.

Although the former Elf Queen indeed stirred up trouble that led to her abandonment, and even for that the Elven God King officially took a wife, everyone understood that it wasn’t just about the name of the Dark Moon Elves.

Elves, due to their prolonged lives, often prefer to live in willful ignorance, but once they understand, they never turn back.

”Your Majesty!” Hill leaned in and asked, ”What exactly happened in the Forest of the Elves? What did the former Queen do? Did she want to overthrow the rule of the Elven God King?”

Besides that, Hill could not think of anything that would warrant such drastic measures by the Elven God King.
