Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2160: Fighting for love (7)

”Your Highness, the detector showed three times that the renegade dragons were active near here.”

That confidant looked around, compared it with his terminal, and then said to Zimu beside him.

Zimu nodded, with an inexplicable excitement in his eyes.

When it came to practicing, the choice of target was not so strict, as long as it seemed about right after consideration.

But if, while practicing, one could also gain corresponding benefits, that would be ideal. The feeling of making money while having fun was something the ten thousand races of the universe also liked.

The renegade dragons were undoubtedly a good target.

Regarding their problems with their own race, the Flying Lizard Race, the cosmic races were not very interested. Even if the renegade dragons became war beasts, one needed to notify the Flying Lizard Race side. Usually, this matter was handled by merchants or shops selling renegade dragons as war beasts.

For the Huoʼer Star people, if they caught renegade dragons, they basically did not even need to say anything. That was the confidence of a super-large clan.

In war beast shops, the price of a renegade dragon war beast ranged from several hundred thousand to several tens of millions, with adults usually close to ten million, and the quantity was small, with demand exceeding supply.

According to the clanʼs monitoring, the discovered renegade dragon was a minor, which suited Zimuʼs requirements even better.
Adult renegade dragons were at the level of great experts. Zimu could not practice with them; that would be letting them practice on him. A minor was just right.

If he defeated the renegade dragon and subdued it into a war beast, it would definitely become a major help in the future! Because even if the renegade dragon was allowed to grow to adulthood on its own, it would definitely become a super level-nine life. With some training, renegade dragons had a very good chance of reaching the realm of peak experts.

In other races, there was a possibility of the renegade dragon fighting back and escaping, but such a situation did not exist with the Huoʼer Star people.

Moreover, the appearance of a minor renegade dragon here indicated that it was very likely that other adult renegade dragons were also present. If they could hunt them, that would be an enormous profit.

So, besides this confidant, Zimu also brought his chief guard and six guards, nine people in total.

The chief guard listened from the side, with some dissatisfaction in his eyes.

If Zimu just stayed in the camp, he would be absolutely safe. No one could threaten Zimu there; there were a peak expert and many great experts.

But leaving the camp changed the situation; the probability of encountering danger increased exponentially.

He was the chief guard; he was responsible.

Practicing? He could capture a mutated life similar to Zimu and practice in the base, couldnʼt he? Did they have to go out?

Ultimately, it was an issue of face. Zimu did not want to practice in the base with mutated lives captured by others. Also, the renegade dragon held an attraction for him.

But, like that peak expert, this chief guard also knew that Zimu was a potential stock for the future, so he did not directly oppose it.

However, he always had a bad feeling. If they encountered adult renegade dragons, and more than one, should they call for reinforcements first or flee first?

The nine of them could handle two adult renegade dragons, but it would be somewhat risky.

The seven people continuously searched the area where the renegades were active, hoping to find the target as soon as possible. After more than an hour, the confidantʼs terminal suddenly lit up with a red light.

………………

Overlapping Water Dead Zone.

After Ye Zhongming and the others left, the attacks from the mutated lives did not stop. On the contrary, the battle became even more intense.

The mutated lives charging along the path were continuously repelled and then continuously charged again. Blood and bodies covered the not-very-wide road, to some extent slowing down the attack.

The long-range exchanges between the two sides never ceased. Even just now, the several large light balls that had been slowly approaching from afar before Ye Zhongming and the others left had just exploded above the base. The light crash they produced caused heavy losses among the cosmic races, who had no concept of such an attack. At least a thousand people died instantly, most of them from the long-range attack units located at the edge of the dead zone, dealing a heavy blow to the long-range forces.

If it were not for the fact that warriors of the ten thousand races could all act as long-range fighters as long as they were given spears or short axes, the defenses of the dead zone might have been breached.

On top of the Kepaisi Sky Cover, all the flying lives that had landed earlier had been ground into flesh and blood. Even the body of that super level-nine life had also become minced meat. Although there were still mutated lives circling in the air, continuously shooting their abilities downward, they temporarily posed little threat to this large cover. The energy beams still used attack instead of defense, carrying out full suppression on the enemies in the air.

With a loud bang, another super level-nine life jumped three times along the path to the edge of the dead zone. During this process, it had already suffered considerable damage, yet it was still full of vitality. The elemental light barrier prevented it from directly jumping into the dead zone as it had wanted, so it could only land at the edge, trying to open a ground path.

All the firepower from the surrounding people instantly pelted onto it. Five seconds—this monster lasted five seconds before being directly killed.

Even a super level-nine life could not last too long when facing so many warriors from the ten thousand races of the universe.

However, this guy, with its sacrifice, managed to punch a breach in the defensive warriors responsible for the entrance. At the same time, the five-second gap in attacks also allowed the mutated lives on the path to rush into this gap.

In an instant, the breach was expanded, and a large number of mutated lives surged into the dead zone.

”Do not panic! Long-range units, continue attacking the path! The Second Regiment, go!” Star Adult issued the order and charged up together with the Second Regiment.

The two sides engaged in fierce combat at the edge of the dead zone.

Perhaps seeing the hope of breaking through the dead zone, more mutated lives rushed out from the forest of the Long River Alluvial Plain, continuously dashing the path, endlessly filling into that not-so-large area at the edge of the dead zone that they had tenaciously occupied.

This place thus became a meat grinder. Lives from both sides continuously entered, then died, and other lives entered again.

”Slowly retreat!”

Eye Adult, seeing that the timing was about right, issued such an order. The others had no objections either; this was part of the plan.

The retreat of the ten thousand races of the universe allowed the area occupied by the mutated lives to grow larger and larger. Their subsequent troops also began to surge onto the path, and the attacks on the path seemed to have weakened considerably.

Until at a certain moment, the ground formation here suddenly activated. Countless fireballs spat from the formation, turning this place into a sea of fire. Three huge wind blowers had long been erected at the edge of the formation. The strong, forceful wind, carrying the flames and the ignited mutated lives, rushed down the path and into the adjacent abyss.

The area that had been lost was instantly recaptured, and they even used a fire to burn the path.

The mutated livesʼ attack was suppressed back below the path.

Eye Lord, seeing the plan succeed, felt somewhat relieved. His gaze subconsciously surveyed the surrounding area. He did not see the two most famous geniuses of the Star-Eye Clan, knowing that they had already departed.

Hopefully... everything would be fine.
