Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2100.5- Su Clan changes (2)

”Inappropriate?” This elder leader stood up and said loudly: ”Formations are the foundation of our clanʼs existence, the root of our prosperity for so many years. Why is it that others clearly know formations are good, yet have never learned our secrets? Isnʼt it precisely because our ancestors, generation after generation of Su Clan people, have guarded them with extreme caution over so many years? Think back, how many races in the past have tried to obtain the secrets of formations? How many of our clansmen have given their lives to protect these secrets? The formations of our Su Clan are not truly ours just because we have mastered them. These formations belong not only to us but also to generations of Su Clan ancestors!”

This impassioned and vehement speech stirred the blood of the others. Many simply called out ”well said,” their faces flushing red.

People from the other two factions even looked at Yaohan Su with cold smiles, wanting to see his current predicament.

Unfortunately, this Su Clan leaderʼs expression was as indifferent as before.

”Now your actions are precisely about handing over these secrets to others, or at the very least, greatly increasing the risk of them being learned by others! Once leaked, then the foundation of our Su Clanʼs standing among the cosmic races of the universe would be gone. Are you trying to push our Su Clan to the brink of extinction?!”

This leader, getting more worked up as he spoke, pointed at Yaohan Su and said, ”If you insist on going your own way, I suggest we initiate impeachment proceedings immediately, remove you from office, and let someone who truly cares for the Su Clan and can lead it towards a bright future become clan leader!”

As soon as these words were spoken, it was equivalent to an outright falling out between the two sides.

Earlier, when others heard things like formations belonging not only to the present but also to the ancestors, they found it exhilarating and felt it was correct. But upon hearing the suggestion to impeach the clan leader, their expressions changed; even the people from the other faction were stunned.

Before the meeting, this leader had never mentioned this aspect to anyone. Was this an impulsive, outspoken statement made on the spur of the moment, or was it a premeditated move to catch everyone off guard and force their hand?

Impeaching a clan leader, and the clan leader of a super clan like the Su Clan, if this matter leaked, it would definitely shock the myriad races of the universe! Even if the ordinary members of the Su Clan found out, it would cause chaos.
”Just because of a ʼpossibilityʼ, you want to impeach me?” Yaohan Su looked at his opponent with an inexplicable smile and asked.

”Isnʼt that enough?!” The leader countered tit-for-tat. ”Do we have to wait until youʼve truly led the Su Clan into the abyss before we take action?”

”Into the abyss.”

Yaohan Su murmured softly. Although his voice was low, the others were all experts and naturally heard it clearly. They looked at each other in even greater bewilderment, wondering what was wrong with the clan leader.

”You say that our Su Clan has existed for countless years, using endless effort to preserve the secrets of formations, is that right?”

Yaohan Su suddenly fell silent for a moment, then asked the leader.

”Correct!”

Facing the opponentʼs answer, Yaohan Su nodded and continued calmly: ”You say that by selling formations and arranging formations for other races, I am increasing the risk of leakage, is that right?”

”Of course!”

That leader gave a cold snort, squinting as he stared at Yaohan Su.

”But do you know, from ancient times to the present, how many formation disks our ancestors have sold to other races? Do you know how many races they have arranged formations for?”

Everyone was stunned, not expecting Yaohan Su to ask such a question.

”You must not know. Then let me tell you. Not going too far back, over the last 500 cosmic years, our Su Clan has sold a total of 304,000 formation disks, including 36,778 large formation disks. We have given away a total of 2,569 formation disks, including 1,822 large formation disks.”

Hearing this figure suddenly, everyone was somewhat shocked. So many had flowed out of the Su Clan? That meant almost 600 to 700 formation disks were sold or given away on average every cosmic year.

”In these five hundred cosmic years, formation disks lost due to clansmen going missing or dying, or being lost on battlefields, exceed 69,000.”

This time, even that leader was surprised.

”These are not random fabrications on my part; they are all documented in the clanʼs A-level confidential repository. All of you present have the right to access them.”

Hearing Yaohan Su speak with such certainty, everyone knew it must be true. However, someone immediately opened their terminal and entered their authorization code.

Not paying attention to this before, naturally, no one thought of it. Now with a clear goal, querying became very easy. Although there was no total sum, the data for each year was recorded very clearly. Simply adding it up on the terminal could yield the conclusion instantly.

Sure enough, it was exactly as the clan leader had said; the numbers were completely accurate.

”What does this prove?” Seeing that this string of figures somewhat silenced the people present, the leader quickly spoke up to break the situation.

But Yaohan Su didnʼt even look at him, instead continuing: ”Then does everyone know, in the last five hundred cosmic years, for how many races we have arranged formations? And which races were they?”

This time, without waiting for Yaohan Su to give the answer, others immediately started querying on their terminals.

”Jie Su, you tell them.”

Jie Su was also present today. After the Huaitang Clan incident concluded, he returned to the Su Clan from the space fleet.

”In the last five hundred cosmic years, we have arranged formations for 3,612 races, including 205 large formations. The races we have arranged formations for, excluding those within our Su Clan faction, include those from the other two factions and the Talos Red Dwarves, totaling... 152 races.”

If the sale of formation disks had caused surprise, then this matter of formations caused shock.

They truly hadnʼt imagined that over so many years, they had arranged this many formations for so many races.

”Jie Suʼs clearance is insufficient, so the data is incomplete. Adding in some secret operations, the figure would increase further. You, the heads of each faction, have the clearance to see those.”

The head of the other faction quickly checked, and sure enough, some encrypted files recorded instances of the Su Clan arranging formations for other races. These were either kept confidential at the Su Clanʼs own request or at the request of others not to make them public.

”And this is only for the last five hundred cosmic years. If we go further back, these figures would increase to an almost unbelievable degree.”

Yaohan Su stood up, looked at these high-level members of the Su Clan, and said, ”It is not wrong that we value formation disks and formations more than our own lives. However, there is one fact we also have to acknowledge.”

”Over so many years, we have used this many formation disks and formations externally, yet has anyone cracked our secrets? I cannot say no one has. Perhaps for certain single formations, some races have indeed done significant research or even mastered them. But the core essence has always remained in the hands of our Su Clan alone!”

”For so many years, no one has cracked them. So this time, just because we sell some formation disks and arrange some formations, it becomes ʼleading the clan into the abyssʼ? It brings the ʼdanger of extinctionʼ?”

”You can all see that the formation disks we sold this time, and the formations we are about to arrange, are all ones that have been sold or arranged and documented in the last five hundred years!”

”And for this, you want to impeach me?!”
