Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2111.5- High risk high reward (3)

Every time he assembled these mechanical war beasts in between manufacturing equipment, Ye Zhongming deeply missed Le Dayuan and his subordinates. In his opinion, once Le Dayuan mastered the knowledge of the cosmic races, he would surely grow into an existence comparable to the God Smith among the Talos Red Dwarves!

Hearing the number Ye Zhongming mentioned, more people fell silent and began to consider his suggestion seriously.

They naturally did not suspect Ye Zhongming of lying, because when the battle came, these mechanical war beasts would all need to be deployed.

With the Kepaisi Sky Cover and these mechanical war beasts, would they be able to withstand the attacks from so many enemies?

Not only the small clan alliance, but even the Su Clan’s strategy department was now beginning to waver.

After all, both the mechanical war beasts and the Kepaisi Sky Cover had greatly shaken them, causing their previously firm convictions to start to falter.

“One cannot deny that your preparations are thorough. However, I still think it’s insufficient.” Elder Zhongken Su suddenly spoke. His attitude had softened somewhat as he looked at Ye Zhongming and said, “I say this without any personal bias, but I genuinely think it’s not enough. You have many mechanical war beasts, but at most, they are equivalent to about ten thousand warriors. Even with the Kepaisi Sky Cover, it’s not enough to minimize the danger to the lowest level. If it were any other location, I would have no objections, but the Overlapping Water Dead Zone… I still disagree.”

This Su Clan elder now spoke without any selfish motive. Even he had been somewhat tempted earlier. The two preparations Ye Zhongming had unveiled had even made him think for a moment that they should indeed take the risk. But after careful consideration, reason told him this choice was still too dangerous. Failure could mean the complete annihilation of the entire force!

In past Planet Hunting Grounds, there had been instances of total annihilation, though very few. After all, each race acted within their capabilities and would not turn a profit-seeking journey into a death sentence.

Huo Zhi thought for a moment, then said to Ye Zhongming: “Elder Zhongken Su is right. If only these things were available, it is indeed still be insufficient. Do you have anything else?”
Ye Zhongming lowered his head in silence for a moment, then nodded. “Yes.”

Everyone’s spirits lifted again. They all looked at Ye Zhongming, waiting for him to reveal his next card.

“The Kepaisi Sky Cover and the mechanical war beasts are my preparations. But what I’m about to mention is something that the Su Clan and we can achieve together.”

The Su Clan members exchanged glances, unsure of what Ye Zhongming meant.

Ye Zhongming then looked at Huo Zhi.

“Because… Lord Huo Zhi possesses the Golden Soldier Killing Formation.”

The Golden Soldier Killing Formation was one of the Su Clan’s Ten Great Formations. It was a formation that was quite troublesome to set up, but once successfully deployed, its power was exceptionally formidable. As its name implied, it was primarily an offensive formation.

The Su Clan members were momentarily stunned, then laughed.

“Zhongming, do you have some misunderstanding about this formation?”

Even Huo Zhi himself chuckled. He glanced at the Star-Eye Clan members and briefly explained.

“The Golden Soldier Killing Formation is indeed very powerful, with tremendous might. If successfully deployed, it could indeed alleviate a fair amount of pressure. However, I don’t think it can single-handedly change the course of the battle. Even if the Golden Soldier Killing Formation performs almost perfectly, at best, it would only make things a little easier for us.”

No one understood the Su Clan’s formations better than the Su Clan itself. While the Ten Great Formations all had their distinct characteristics and formidable power, that did not mean they were invincible. Otherwise, the Su Clan would have dominated the universe long ago.

“What if I had a way to enhance the power of this formation?”

Ye Zhongming spoke softly.

He uttered these words quietly, but to the Su Clan, they were like a thunderbolt.

If anyone else had said this, they would have scoffed.

What a joke. Even ordinary formations were incredibly difficult to improve, with minor advancements taking countless years. The Ten Great Formations were already pinnacle creations; making further progress was an extremely slim prospect.

But because these words came from Ye Zhongming, the Su Clan had to take them seriously. After all, this was the person who had brought them ancient formations, as well as many things beneficial to the Su Clan, such as Purple Luo Zinc. Just moments ago, he had also presented the Kepaisi Sky Cover and such a large number of mechanical war beasts. Such a person would certainly not speak idly.

Huo Zhi’s body involuntarily leaned slightly towards the light screen.

“Are you serious?”

If Ye Zhongming truly had a way to enhance the formation’s power, then Huo Zhi decided he would take the risk with Ye Zhongming.

Before that, he needed to confirm. After all, even if Ye Zhongming’s words were trustworthy, he was not the one who would be setting up this Golden Soldier Killing Formation, so he had to ask.

“Of course. I wouldn’t joke about this. It concerns my own life as well.” Ye Zhongming replied. “What I can guarantee is that it will be one hundred percent effective. What I cannot guarantee is the exact amount of power enhancement. But at the very least, it will increase the original power by twenty percent! If everything goes smoothly, perhaps fifty percent is also possible.”

Huo Zhi and the two elders were genuinely stirred!

Forget about the maximum; they didn’t dare hope for that. But just the figure of at least twenty percent was enough to make them consider the risk! After all, the Ten Great Formations were already the Su Clan’s strongest. Enhancing this ‘strongest’ by another twenty percent would increase its power significantly, to a terrifying degree.

“Can you guarantee it?” Huo Zhi took a deep breath, suppressing his excitement, and asked.

“I can!” Ye Zhongming’s answer was resolute.

“However…”

A ‘however’ made the Su Clan’s hearts skip a beat.

“However, if I am able to achieve this, the distribution ratio of the gains this time between us will need to be recalculated.”
