Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2103: Empty meeting point

Although there were things to do, this tabulation table was still somewhat pleasing to the eye.

In the period before heading to the planet-hunting grounds, Ye Zhongming had put a total of twenty thousand pieces of weapons and equipment of various grades up for sale. After deducting costs, these equipment had added fifteen million Moonspan Gold to the King of Cloud Peakʼs coffers.

Because these pieces of equipment were sold through the Star-Eye Clan and Su Clan networks, they were not a secret among the Star-Eye Clanʼs higher-ups. Upon learning this figure, the two Star-Eye Clan leaders and others all let out excited yet helpless sighs.

Thinking back to how the entire Star-Eye Clan had been frantic over the few million annual minimum operating costs, even resorting to selling off family assets to get by, since Ye Zhongming joined, it seemed that whenever Moonspan Gold was mentioned, it was in units of tens of millions.

This also made Jikesu feel both admiration and deeply demoralized.

With Ye Zhongmingʼs help and guidance, he could now manufacture Red Condensation-grade equipment. This Star-Eye Clanʼs technical directorʼs talent was undeniable, and his foundation was exceptionally solid—something Ye Zhongming could not compare with in this regard. Otherwise, he would not have been known to the old dean of the Library Palace.

Although his success rate was far lower than Ye Zhongmingʼs, once he succeeded in manufacturing a piece, the quality of the Red Condensation-grade equipment was slightly better than Ye Zhongmingʼs.

It was just that Ye Zhongming could successfully manufacture at least 10 pieces a day, while Jikesu could only complete 1 piece in 2 days, which made the old man extremely frustrated.

Both were manufacturers, but the difference was just too great.

Later, the two discussed it and decided that Jikesu would temporarily give up manufacturing Red Condensation-grade and switch to manufacturing Ke Steel-grade instead.
With the difficulty greatly reduced, Jikesuʼs efficiency improved significantly. In a day, his success rate could approach 65%, and making 10 pieces was no problem.

Of course, with the lower grade, compared to Ye Zhongmingʼs 90% success rate for Ke Steel-grade and his ability to casually manufacture hundreds of pieces a day and still be full of energy the next day, the difference was even greater. Maintaining a daily output of ten pieces was already Jikesuʼs limit; any more, and his mental energy and physical strength could not keep up, affecting the next dayʼs efficiency.

However, even though Jikesu was far behind Ye Zhongming, during these days, he had still contributed three Red Condensation-grade and several hundred Ke Steel-grade pieces of equipment to the entire Star-Eye Clan, enough to equip fifty to sixty warriors fully.

This efficiency, if shown outside, even to the Talos Red Dwarves, would be top-tier. It was just that, compared to Ye Zhongmingʼs freakish efficiency, everyone had somewhat overlooked it.

During this period, Jikesu also specially selected ten talented Star-Eye clansmen to study under him and Ye Zhongming. However, manufacturing weapons and equipment required talent, effort, perseverance, mental energy, extensive practice, knowledge, experience, and other factors, none of which could be lacking. During this stage, although all ten had improved, none had yet mastered the manufacturing skills of the Talos Red Dwarves. At best, they could barely manage to produce an ordinary-grade piece of equipment.

This made Jikesu feel very bad.

If they could cultivate some successors, then perhaps the Star-Eye Clan might become a second Talos Red Dwarves in the future. Unfortunately, this was ultimately not something anyone could casually master.

The Star-Eye Clan knew the income from weapons and equipment. In terms of medicine, that was a secret between Ye Zhongming and the Changxu Water Race. After all, the sales channels for medicines of various grades were not limited to the Star-Eye Clan and the Su Clan. Ye Zhongmingʼs own shop, Helskyʼs private sales, and people who knew about the relationship between Ye Zhongming and the Changxu Water Race and contacted him directly to purchase could all ship goods.

Those who contacted Ye Zhongming directly were not private merchants, but some very powerful commercial alliances, which were commercial behemoths on every survivor fortress.

Ye Zhongming had Helsky select a few and sold them some high-grade medicines.

These medicines of fifth turn and above could only fetch a good price in these flagship stores. The cooperation method was an outright purchase. Both parties agreed on a price, and the other party paid, after which Ye Zhongming received the payment. As for how much they sold these medicines for after taking them away, that was their own business.

Ye Zhongming casually checked and saw that the transaction prices they sold at yielded considerable profits, even more than Ye Zhongming earned. It could be said that just as Yaohan Su used the Su Clanʼs shops to speculate on weapons and equipment, these people were selling these medicines in the same way.

With a simple resale, huge profits were made. For now, Ye Zhongming could only envy them. He could not yet do what they did and had to let this portion of the profits go to others.

There was no help for it; he and the Star-Eye Clan were weak. Given that it was now an open secret that the Changxu Water Race had aligned with Ye Zhongming, if he still wanted to keep all kinds of profits in his own hands and did not understand the principle of sharing benefits, then he would be too immature.

When that time came, there would be no need for the Huoʼer people to deal with Ye Zhongming and the Star-Eye Clan; other races would make a move.

Using money to buy a period of peace, Ye Zhongming felt it was a good deal. Among these cooperating super shops, there were even some controlled by the Huoʼer people, specifically chosen by Ye Zhongming to ease relations. This was the same as the strategy of ʼexchanging space for timeʼ.

But regardless, the various medicines from the Changxu Water Race brought Ye Zhongming even more net profit than weapons and equipment, amounting to as much as twenty-six million!

Ye Zhongming thought about how the Huoʼer people were so fond of the Changxu Water Race and currently controlled the most Changxu Water Race people. The benefits they created for them every cosmic year were truly immeasurable.

Weapons and equipment, and medicines, together yielded nearly fifty million in profit. But the actual Moonspan Gold that remained with Ye Zhongming was less than ten million. The rest had already turned back into weapons, equipment, and medicines, fully equipping the Star-Eye Clanʼs forces.

For this planet-hunting ground, the Star-Eye Clan would mobilize their entire force. Left at home would only be three thousand-man teams from the Bronze Camp and Silver Camp, one thousand-man team from the Gold Camp, and Bashilu leading five hundred clan leader guards to hold the fort. All other warriors, including members of various logistics and support departments, would participate, numbering over 20,000!

This number, placed on a planet, naturally counted for nothing, a drop in the ocean. But for a small clan, it was almost the majority of their strength.

Of these twenty thousand, excluding support departments, there were over eighteen thousand warriors. Their equipment had already been upgraded during this period of frenzied manufacturing by Ye Zhongming and Jikesu.

Now, for the entire Bronze Camp and Silver Camp, ordinary-grade equipment was the minimum configuration. Among them, the mid-level and high-level had Ke Steel-grade as the minimum, and each person had at least one Red Condensation-grade item.
