Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2099: Su Clan change

Among the seven survivor fortresses of the universal races, at times they existed as independent entities and at other times as interconnected wholes.

The news that the Star-Eye Clanʼs Novice was opening a planet hunting ground for the first time spread throughout the seven fortresses in an extremely short period. All races wishing to participate began to make a move.

Perhaps using the words making a move for the matter of hunting together on a single planet was not entirely appropriate, but this was the reality.

If another race had opened this planet hunting ground, everyone would not have been so eager to roll up their sleeves, but the Star-Eye Clan was different.

When other races opened hunting grounds, basically, who was it? Super large clans, large clans, or occasionally some city alliances.

Their strength went without saying; basically, the majority of the prey on the entire planet would be taken by them. Every hunt, for these super large clans and large clans, was a feast of harvest.

Of course, this referred to situations where no accidents occurred, for example, if there were no overly dangerous lifeforms on the planet, or if large-scale conflicts did not erupt among the universal races.

But this time was different. The one opening the planet battlefield was the Star-Eye Clan.

Who were they? A small clan. What strength did they have?

Even if they appeared in the form of a city alliance, which city were they in? Dark Strip City! Where was Dark Strip City? No one had heard of it at all; they had only heard of Dark Strip language.
Later, upon inquiring, people found out, oh, it housed the eight heads, eight medium-sized races. If they joined hands, they should be comparable to some weaker large clans. But upon digging deeper, they discovered that these eight races were entirely not that impressive; they were somewhat weak. Together, they truly were not even up to the level of the weakest large clan!

So everyone was delighted because this was the most advantageous news for them.

The reason for this, naturally, was that the race opening the planet battlefield had a ʼhome field advantageʼ. They could choose the hunting area first. Previously, super large clans or large clans naturally chose the best places on the planet, such as terrain that was easy to defend and hard to attack, areas rich in surrounding materials, abundant prey, rare species, and so on.

As the saying goes, a good start is half the success. And in a planet hunting ground, a good start could even be most of the success. As long as there were no accidents and they didnʼt court disaster, they would basically make a huge profit.

But this was only true for those super large clans or large clans, because they had strength as a guarantee. They could choose a desired location on the planet to set up camp, then quickly establish the camp to stabilise their footing, and then begin hunting.

But the Star-Eye Clan couldnʼt. Or rather, the strength of the Dark Strip City city alliance was insufficient.

When they chose a campsite, they would definitely have to act according to their capabilities. Given their natural conditions, the locations they could choose were actually not many. They definitely couldnʼt choose the best places, because even if they chose them, they wouldnʼt be able to defend them.

And those places, naturally, would be for the other races.

After all, regarding the selection order, apart from the host race opening the planet hunting ground, the rest were determined by random drawing, controlled by the terminal. It all depended on who was lucky.

For many races, this was a huge opportunity, because there was definitely a best hunting ground, awaiting the one with great luck.

As in previous years, after the Star-Eye Clan applied, it was quickly approved, and the departure time was confirmed. Only, which specific undeveloped planet had not yet decided.

But the preparations by the various races had already begun.

Because the small Star-Eye Clan had the home field advantage, all the cosmic races saw an opportunity. So during the preparation phase, almost every race that felt they had a chance started to move. Various strategic materials began to become scarce. Especially weapons, this extremely important and easily damaged item, saw prices rise by at least twenty percent compared to usual.

Besides equipment, various types of medicine also saw price increases, even more severe than those of equipment. After all, these things could save lives.

Every year at this time, the Talos Red Dwarves and some races skilled in crafting medicine made a killing.

But this year was slightly different.

Firstly, in many survivor fortresses, the supply of equipment and various implements was noticeably higher than in previous years.

This was mainly manifested in the sufficient supply of goods in Su Clan-operated shops.

Originally, the equipment in Su Clan shops was mostly supplementary products, and the source was obtained from other races through barter. The quantity was small, and the quality was mixed.

But recently, the quantity of equipment in their shops had increased, and the quality was quite good. The prices, although much higher than usual, were slightly lower than those at other shops.

Publicly, the Su Clan explained that these were years of storage, and that they were selling them all at once this time.

Such a good thing was naturally not missed by other races. In just a few days, these items were sold out, and the Su Clan made a considerable profit from this.

The benefits of this matter were far from over. Everyone knew the Su Clan had goods on hand. Now that the shops in the various survivor fortresses were sold out, what about inside Su City?

People on the other survivor fortresses had no way; distant water couldnʼt quench immediate thirst. But the people on the same survivor fortress as the Su Clan were all sharp-witted. They immediately flocked into Su City, and the weapon shops in all the commercial areas were almost bought out.

They discovered that not only were the prices here relatively cheaper, but the quality was even better. Among them were quite a few high-level pieces of equipment from the Talos Red Dwarves, such as Red Condensation-grade, and even a small number of Raini Grade!

At this time, the cosmic races were willing to invest. They bought these things, which were much more expensive than usual, without batting an eye.

At the same time, the Su Clanʼs signature product, formation disks, were also very popular. Previously, the Su Clan had been very cautious, even about selling formation disks. But this time, people from other races actually discovered that the Su Clanʼs shops were no longer holding back formation disks; the quantity was ample.

These things were of limited use when the cosmic races fought each other; the weaknesses were obvious. But when dealing with other prey, they were a good thing.

Instantly, a craze for snapping up formation disks arose in all the survivor fortresses. This was especially true in Su City. Many races with good relations with the Su Clan even directly placed orders with the Su Clan, as long as delivery was made before the planet hunting ground started.

Prices, naturally, also rose accordingly.

Not only that, the Su Clan even released news that shocked all races, including the super-large clans.

The Su Clan... could, for this planet battlefield, set up formations for various races!

A single stone stirred up a thousand waves.

Many people thought about the various events before, suddenly realising a problem.

The Su Clan, this race that had been mediocre for countless years, seemed to be quietly undergoing change!
