Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2103.5- Empty meeting point

As for the Gold Camp and clan leader guards, numbering several thousand, as they were the absolute core strength, their equipment was even higher. Ke Steel-grade was the standard. Among their leadership, each person had at least two Red Condensation-grade items. The core members, such as Cheng Liujin and several highly skilled warriors, were fully equipped with Red Condensation-grade items, and each had one Raini-grade item for protection.

As for the two clan leaders, they were definitely the mainstay. Besides the few Raini-grade family heirlooms the Star-Eye Clan already possessed, Ye Zhongming had also supplemented the rest. Now the two clan leaders were fully equipped with Raini-grade!

Due to limitations in his own strength, Ye Zhongming was not entirely clear what level the two clan leaders could reach with the empowerment of this equipment. But according to the clan leaders themselves, after learning the techniques and methods Ye Zhongming brought back, their strength had greatly increased. Now, coupled with their top-tier equipment, they estimated they could be comparable to a just entry-level expert.

However, because they had not fought with a great expert, and only made this judgment based on various data and footage, they were not so certain. But one point was probably correct: even if they were not as good as a great expert, the difference was definitely not much!

A great expert! This was a first-class individual who only appeared in some powerful medium-sized races!

So, for this planet hunting ground, not to mention Ye Zhongming, the entire Star-Eye Clan, from top to bottom, was full of confidence.

But before leaving, they still had an opportunity for actual combat.

……………………

”Have you heard? This time, the planet hunting ground has chosen star γ101 in the Belconnor Galaxy. Thatʼs a big planet. Not only are the natives powerful up there, but there are also huge numbers of parasites.”

”Yeah, I heard that the high-level members have been observing that big star for a long time and havenʼt made a move all along, precisely because the life forms up there are very powerful. Although weʼre definitely not afraid, if losses exceed a certain level, it would be not worth the gain. After all, there are only fifty cosmic days of hunting time. If you donʼt get huge benefits and also suffer severe losses, even a super clan would be hurt, right?”
”So why choose this star this time?”

”Not sure about that, but I estimate itʼs because of the Star-Eye Clan.”

”Oh? Tell me, how is it because of the Star-Eye Clan?”

”Because according to the rules, itʼs the race that got first place in the Novice competition that chooses the planet hunting ground. Naturally, itʼs the Star-Eye Clanʼs choice this time. But they are a small clan. Although Dark Strip City will form an alliance team to fight this time, to be honest, the benefits they can obtain wonʼt be too high. Play it safe, make a small gain, and thatʼs enough. In this situation, they naturally wouldnʼt choose the best plots on this hunting planet. Rich resources often mean greater danger. Our allied forces donʼt have the strength to hold them. Since we canʼt hold them, itʼs only natural that the best plots will go to others. This is, to some extent, equivalent to the Novice first place. If the resources on the planet are average, undoubtedly the value of this ʼNovice first placeʼ would be greatly diminished, and the benefits gained wouldnʼt be enough. Only by choosing this kind of big resource star can greater benefits be obtained. So, this time, the high-level members of the cosmic didnʼt let the Star-Eye Clan choose the hunting planet at all; they directly designated this planet in the Belconnor Galaxy to maximize profits.”

”So thatʼs how it is. I was wondering why there was no definite news about which star was chosen for so long. Turns out there was this twist. Ah, unfortunately, if it were an ordinary resource star, our Dark Strip City forces might have gained the most this time.”

”Youʼre overthinking this. Even with an ordinary planet, it wouldnʼt be our turn. What strength does our Dark Strip City have? Even combined, we canʼt reach the edge of just any large clan. In the end, without strength as a guarantee, nothing works.”

”It does benefit those assassins of the Star-Eye Clan, though. The future profits from this big star will be forty percent to them. And Ye Zhongming, the Novice first place, will solely get the majority of the other twenty percent. Itʼs six percent, right?”

”Yes, six percent for first place, three percent for second, one percent for third. The remaining ten percent, others will share according to how hard they fight.”

”That means, in the future, the income from this big star, the Star-Eye Clan, will get forty-six percent. Really enviable.”

”What are you envious of? This is a good thing!”

”A good thing?”

”Think about it. This time the Star-Eye Clan goes, ahem, how many people will come back? A quarter or a fifth? They will inevitably decline afterwards. So can they hold on to such a large amount of money? Wonʼt it just be ours for the taking?”

”Oh, right, I didnʼt think of that. It seems the Star-Eye Clan really is our lucky star. By the way, we set off in two hours. Why havenʼt we seen them yet? If they donʼt come soon, wonʼt they be late? There are still things to do, like allocating spacecraft and large amounts of materials, warehousing, and such.”

”Shut up, all of you!”

At this moment, a squad leader-level figure who had been listening nearby turned around from behind the heavy transport trucks these gossiping soldiers were leaning against.

”Donʼt say what shouldnʼt be said. Showing off how much you know? With this energy, youʼd be better off resting up or checking if any equipment is missing, so you can go back and get it now if needed.”

These soldiers from various races in Dark Strip City immediately fell silent. This squad leader, satisfied with this, nodded and looked towards the empty area that should be the Star-Eye Clanʼs assembly point.

It would be abnormal if they werenʼt late. He heard that their high-level members had gone to the Huaitang Clan, trying to get the warriors who had withdrawn from the city guard to rejoin the ranks while the Star-Eye Clan was at the planet hunting grounds. This way, the Star-Eye Clan could have at least a thousand clansmen in the city guard go to the planet hunting grounds.

It was conceivable that the Huaitang Clan would make things difficult for them in every way and force them into many unequal agreements. Under the current circumstances, the Star-Eye Clan would definitely agree. After all, those five hundred people were their core strength. If they didnʼt go to the hunting planet, they probably couldnʼt even hold their own hunting zone.

This squad leader looked again at another half-empty area. There were only some materials and a few dozen warriors there. That was the Huaitang Clanʼs assembly point. Obviously, they were all staying in the clan, putting pressure on the Star-Eye Clan, who had delivered themselves to be exploited.

At the moment, faint sounds could be heard from some direction in Dark Strip City. The squad leader looked over; that direction should be towards the Huaitang Clan. It seemed the Huaitang Clan was not only going to talk but also wanted to retaliate physically for the grudge of having two thousand warriors killed a few days ago.

Poor Star-Eye Clan.

The squad leader shook his head, turned, and walked towards his own raceʼs assembly point. Thinking about what he needed to do to gain more once at the planet hunting grounds, the trace of pity he had for the Star-Eye Clan disappeared without a trace.
