Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2159: Fighting for love (6)

Whether it was the elemental spirits or the Lord equipment, Ye Zhongming felt that both were very difficult to upgrade, and that was indeed the case.

So, after the Mountain King Crown successfully unsealed one ability, he did not actually have high expectations for the two elemental spirits that had eaten the pure energy.

In the past, when the two little fellows made progress, they definitely had to sleep first.

But now, they were both very awake.

It was the appearance of these elemental tablets that made Ye Zhongming notice the differences in the two elemental spirits.

He looked at the Earth Spirit first.

After arriving among the cosmic races, this chubby little guy had already evolved once. Now, it had nine abilities, which were respectively: Jumping Gravity, Space Unimpeded, Big Eater, Earthshaking, Devoted Protection, Black Soil Armor, Earth Nourishment, Life-Intercepting Grasp, and Life’s Snatch.

Back when they were dealing with the Gurui Star Race, the Earth Spirit had played a significant role.

And now, the little guy had unsealed its tenth ability: Earth Punishment.

At first, Ye Zhongming did not know what this was. He was slightly disappointed by the name, but after learning what it actually was, he had a moment of realization. The final few abilities certainly could not be useless.
Thick Earth Punishment: When the owner of the elemental spirit needs it, they can extract essence from the earth to form a punishment staff to discipline those who offend them.

Form 1, Normal Form. The power of the punishment staff is equivalent to twice the userʼs strength. When used, upon contacting the target, it automatically casts twice the normal gravity at that time to the target. The skill duration is three hours, with a cooldown time of one hundred hours.

Form 2, Special Form. The punishment staff possesses power equivalent to ten times the userʼs strength, but can only attack three times. The first attack releases a threefold gravity field within ten meters around the user, from which only the user is immune. The second attack slows the targetʼs movement speed by thirty percent. The third attack produces two staff shadows with the same attack power, attacking the target together from two other angles. The Special Form duration is one minute, with a cooldown time of five hundred hours.

A completely offensive skill!

This ability, although it could not completely replace the function of weapons (after all, it had a duration and a single ability), its appearance definitely counted as a very good supplement to the weapon system, and could even be released as a skill.

The Normal Form alone had double-strength attacks, and the Special Form had tenfold strength, both with their own attack special effects...

Thinking of using the Special Form together with Life-Intercepting Grasp, it simply could not be more satisfying.

After finishing looking at the Earth Spiritʼs changes, Ye Zhongming went to look at the Star Spiritʼs abilities.

Compared to the former, the Star Spiritʼs evolution was slightly slower. The abilities it had unsealed so far were: Land of Radiance, Space Unimpeded, Bright Star, Big Eater, Starry Sky Vision, and Nightfall Falling Sand.

This time, it had unsealed two brand new abilities: Star Ring Formation and Inner Star Circle.

Star Ring Formation: The owner of the elemental spirit can set a star mark at a target location. When the star mark is triggered, it can produce a star power burst, causing unavoidable damage to the triggerer. The damage value is twice the energy input by the elemental spirit when the star mark was released.

Inner Star Circle: When needed, the owner of the elemental spirit can activate this ability, producing five-pointed star marks composed of star power around their body. When the star marks are within one meter of the body, they have defensive properties, with a defense value three times the energy used to create the star marks. When the star marks are outside one meter of the body, they have explosive properties, with the explosive force generated being five times the energy used to create the star marks.

The range where the star marks are located is controllable by the owner. The maximum number of star marks is thirty. The maximum duration is one hour, and they can be canceled at any time. Upon cancellation, a proportion of the energy consumed to create the star marks will be returned based on the duration elapsed.

One semi-support ability and one purely offensive ability. Although they had not been tested, they seemed quite good.

Sometimes, Ye Zhongming could not help but express awe that, after arriving in the heavens, what helped him the most were actually the two elemental spirits and the Lord equipment.

After looking again at the two little fellows who were clearly no longer in their infant stage, Ye Zhongming had them return to his body.

They had truly given him a huge surprise; the two elemental spirits had gained three new abilities—no, if counting the elemental tablets, that was four abilities.

However, Ye Zhongming had another doubt.

He had not been in the universe for just a day or two. He naturally knew how special the elemental spirits and Lord equipment were, and they might even be unique. So why had he obtained them himself? And on Earth? Did his home planet have some special feature? Or were there other reasons?

He himself did not believe it could be explained solely by luck.

……………………

At the Huoʼer Star peopleʼs camp, Zimu slowly woke from his cultivation. He clenched his fist, and the feeling of fullness from the power made him very happy.

He had progressed again!

Although he had not yet reached the threshold for reaching the realm of great master, after listening to the peak expertʼs teachings, he had made huge progress. For him, this was significant.

He admitted that no matter how hard he tried, he probably could not catch up to his fiancée, but it would still be good to narrow the gap as much as possible.

Perhaps his future voice on the Sheke Star would be linked to his strength.

Just thinking about entering the Sheke Star and obtaining better resources than on the Huoʼer Star side made Zimuʼs heart boil.

He stood up, tidied his clothes, and said toward the door, ”Come in.”

A servant immediately walked in from outside, bringing abundant food and a basin of clean water.

”During my two days of cultivation, was there any noteworthy news?”

After washing his hands, Zimu spoke to the person who had entered while eating.

Unlike his chief guard, this person was his childhood playmate and an absolute confidant.

He had cultivated for two days; the matters of the hunt naturally did not require his attention, and that was not what he was asking about either.

The confidant immediately said some things he himself considered very important. The content mostly concerned interpersonal relationships within the five hundred thousand troops of the Huoʼer Star people, indicating that Zimu usually paid quite a bit of attention to this.

After saying all this, Zimu had almost finished eating. He thought for a moment and said, ”I plan to go out to try my hand, to see how much I have improved, and also to adapt to my improved body. Are there any good targets?”

Due to the campʼs unique nature, the Huoʼer Star people did not hunt very often. Simply sitting here waiting for various types of flying lives to attack was already enough for them to enjoy the pleasure of the harvest.

The confidant knew that his master was talking about leaving the camp to hunt. He recalled the information he had received during this period, and then suddenly remembered something.

”Your Highness, in these past few days, there has been one piece of news worth attention. To the southwest of the camp, we have observed the presence of renegade dragons...”
