Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2107.5- Small clan alliance

In that instant, the tent fell silent.

It had been countless years since a small clan in Dark Strip City had spoken to one of the Eight Heads in such a tone.

”Did I say something wrong?” That clan leader, emboldened by some unknown source of courage, took two steps and stood beside the two Star-Eye leaders.

”For so many years, the Eight Heads have had the final say in Dark Strip City. You allow no dissent. Lacking any good methods, you survive solely by exploiting us, small clans. As a result, the number of races in Dark Strip City keeps dwindling, the population plummets, and the economy stagnates.”

”Which of your races doesnʼt have the blood and lives of us small clans on their hands? Now that someone has finally stood up to resist you, only after being bullied beyond measure, you immediately take offense. Hah, truly wonderful leaders of Dark Strip City, arenʼt you?”

These two sentences came from the leaders of two other small clans, respectively. As they spoke, at least half of the small clan leaders present moved to stand beside or behind the two Star-Eye leaders.

This situation astonished the Eight Heads people far more than the sight of Weicuʼs head moments ago.

”Donʼt think weʼre unaware of the strategies youʼve implemented over the years. You squeeze us dry until we gradually disappear, so the assets we leave behind naturally become yours. Dark Strip City then has more space for you, more resources for you. Our races vanish, and our remaining clansmen become your slaves and free labor.”

”Peaceful Erasure—isnʼt that the name of your plan!”

Two other clan leaders looked at the seven clan leaders here with eyes full of hatred, their hands tightly gripping weapons, making one feel that perhaps in the next moment, they would erupt in attack and fight to the death with the Eight Heads.
”What nonsense are you spouting? What Peaceful Erasure? Have you lost your mind!”

A clansman glared, angrily refuting them.

It was true that the Eight Heads continuously exploited and squeezed these small clans, simply because they lacked profitable ventures to achieve significant progress and development for their own races. Every year, they relied on methods like hunting to earn a meager amount of Moonspan Gold.

If it werenʼt for exploiting the small clans, relying solely on the Moonspan Gold they earned each year, how could they afford their current comfortable lifestyles?

Of course, what they did was a tacit understanding among the Eight Heads. But they had never actually gathered specifically to study how to go about concrete actions. Everyone wasnʼt stupid; did they need to study that? It came naturally.

And there was certainly no such thing as ʼPeaceful Erasure.ʼ That was truly absurd!

But why did these small clans believe it?

Naturally, the Star-Eye Clan had told them.

After formulating the plan to eliminate the Huaitang Clan, handling the aftermath was a tough point.

Now, even to wipe out an unprepared Huaitang Clan, the Star-Eye Clan needed a full-scale mobilization, and even then, they barely managed with the help of external Su Clan assistance.

Once the incident occurred, if the Eight Heads perceived the Star-Eye Clan as a threat, they would certainly use this as a pretext to act.

There was no logic where you could exterminate another clan, but others couldnʼt exterminate yours.

Therefore, after deliberation, the Star-Eye Clan decided to unite with other forces in Dark Strip City.

Initially, the two Star-Eye leaders had tried to use interests to persuade the Eight Heads to acknowledge this fact and let the matter rest, even if it meant giving up the assets of the destroyed Huaitang Clan. That way, the alliance of small clans that the Star-Eye Clan had worked so hard to establish during this period wouldnʼt be exposed. Later, when their strength allowed, they could unseat the Eight Heads one by one without hurrying.

Unfortunately, that Zhengji Clan leader thought otherwise. Since that was the case, there was no choice but to proceed with the second option previously agreed upon with the small clans. These small clans directly confronted the Eight Heads and sided with the Star-Eye Clan.

If it had been before today, these small clans might not have dared to rebuke the Eight Heads so directly.

But now it was different. They had a leader, and their leader was the Star-Eye Clan, capable of eliminating the Huaitang Clan!

In their eyes, the Star-Eye Clanʼs strength had at least reached the level of a middle-ranking race. Following them, they didnʼt need to fear the Eight Heads.

Individually, these small clans were naturally no match for the Eight Heads. But all of them combined surpassed any single member of the Eight Heads. Plus, with the Star-Eye Clan, whose strength now pretty much a middle-ranking race, the combined force truly had no reason to fear the Eight Heads.

Of course, the Eight Heads could still unite. But would they dare to engage in an all-out war with the coalition represented by the Star-Eye Clan and the small clans? Ignoring everything else, even if the Eight Heads eventually won, they would be severely weakened. At least half of them would fall into the ranks of small clans, and Dark Strip City itself might even be destroyed.

They could not afford a conflict of that magnitude.

”Fine. You all are just fine. Very good!”

The Zhengji Clan leader pointed at these small clan leaders, burning with rage.

The two Star-Eye leaders stood up, looked at the other Eight Headsʼ clan leaders, and said, ”For this Planet Hunting Grounds, thereʼs no need for us to go together. We will form our own camp. We will also invite a formation master from the Su Clan to construct a grand formation for us. Oh, and weʼll have Su Clan people assisting us. From now on, we are considered part of the Su Clanʼs faction.”

At this moment, these small clan leaders felt immensely proud. When had they ever been so triumphant in front of the Eight Heads? Especially upon hearing that they would join the Su Clanʼs faction in the future, they were even more grateful for their previous choice. From now on, at least in Dark Strip City, they wouldnʼt be bullied much anymore.

As soon as they exited the tent, they saw some of the clan leadersʼ guard warriors, some of whom hadnʼt yet put away their weapons.

”The materials the Huaitang Clan stored here have been seized. Over a hundred guards were eliminated.”

Hearing this news, the two Star-Eye leaders werenʼt surprised. They just nodded. ”Give half to everyone. Todayʼs matter succeeded thanks to everyoneʼs support. Also, we must trouble you all to pass the word to your clans: during the Planet Battlefield period, the task of mopping up the remnants of the Huaitang Clan is entrusted to you. As for the Huaitang Clanʼs territory, everyone can divide it among yourselves. Just leave two shops for us.”

Upon hearing this, all the clan leaders felt an itching eagerness, almost wishing they didnʼt have to go to the Planet Hunting Grounds at all.

They were not like the Star-Eye Clan. Their economic sources were also hunting, trade, as well as some agriculture, workshops, and factories. Although these also made money, nothing was as fast as dividing spoils.

Although they knew full well that the Star-Eye Clan would have already looted all the Huaitang Clanʼs movable valuables, the remaining land, properties, and buildings were still worth a lot of money. Divided among everyone, they would definitely get a windfall.

At the same time, they understood that the Star-Eye Clan was bestowing favor. Through this act, they were telling them that following the Star-Eye Clan from now on meant having food and drink.

As the orders were passed down, the entire Dark Strip City fell into some chaos. Too many people couldnʼt believe that the Huaitang Clan, one of the Eight Heads, had been exterminated.

After some time to digest the information, they had to accept the fact. And when they learned that the other Eight Heads had done nothing but continue with their planned departure for the Planet Hunting Grounds, everyone realized one thing.

The Star-Eye Clan had truly risen.
