Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2108.5- 3 choices

”The advantages of our combined forces are: first, numbers; second, closeness; third, formations; fourth, sneak attack capability; fifth, team operations.”

Huozhi spoke unhurriedly. Numbers mainly relied on the Su Clan, which had 100,000 warriors. Formations were also their advantage, which naturally brought out the strength in team operations.

Sneak attack capability was the Star-Eye Clanʼs specialty. As for closeness... Ye Zhongming knew in his heart that this was gilding the lily for the Star-Eye Clan.

The Su Clanʼs closeness with any randomly chosen ally would be sufficient.

On this kind of hunting map, the Su Clan was a more suitable ally than any other super race. Their formations were truly a giant threat to prey.

The kind with high efficiency and low risk, extremely cost-effective.

”Therefore, these few locations were all chosen based on our characteristics. The first one is called Red Grass Plain by the information personnel. The terrain here is open, with numerous prey. The initial data we obtained shows there are over ten million mutated lifeforms here. And here, look.”

Huozhi highlighted the place called Red Grass Plain. It was a large plain area, covered with a type of red grass. The displayed number of mutated lifeforms exceeded eight figures. This Su Clan elder asked everyone to look at a place near the edge of the red grass.

”Here, there is a naturally formed giant moat, two hundred meters wide, and it is extremely deep. Perhaps calling it an abyss is more appropriate. On one side of this abyss is the Red Grass Plain; on the other side is a mountain peak. From the foot of the mountain to the mid-slope, the gradient is very gentle. If we place our camp here, then this curved abyss will become our natural city wall. We would only need to station a small number of troops to defend it, deploying some lifeforms capable of flight or with extremely strong jumping ability. The defensive focus should be at the junction where the curved abyss meets the mountain peak. Here, the abyss gradually narrows until it disappears at the mid-slope.”

Everyone enlarged the map and indeed saw this special terrain and landform here.
”The mountain peak becomes steep from the mid-slope upwards. The top is bare. Although some flying lifeforms are inhabiting the high peak, the threat is minimal. As long as we guard both sides, this place can be considered easily defensible and hard to attack.”

Many people nodded, including those on the Su Clan side who knew the situation.

”More importantly, on this side of the Red Grass Plain, there are a considerable number of parasites, of average level. We can hunt them to obtain Moonspan Gold.”

Huozhi looked at the expressions of the Star-Eye Clan members, especially Ye Zhongming. Seeing that he seemed to be frowning, Huozhi was a bit surprised. Within the Su Clan, this place was considered the most suitable for setting up camp. Was this little guy dissatisfied?

”Second location: here, Tianmai Plateau. From a safety perspective, this is the most suitable place. It has steep cliffs on top; very few lifeforms can climb up. Only one side requires heavy defense, and this side is a very steep slope. As long as we construct defensive fortifications on the cliff, holding the high ground, it will be extremely easy to defend.”

The members of the small race alliance were also present at this time. Although they had no right to speak, the Star-Eye Clan had invited them to listen in, also to let them meet the Su Clan people, since for the next fifty cosmic days, everyone would be allied forces.

Seeing Tianmai Plateau, the small racesʼ eyes lit up. This place was extremely suitable for defense. With the Su Clan setting up formations and having excellent visibility, they could see from afar whether enemies were approaching. The defense time and defense area were very suitable. For small clans like theirs who wanted to preserve their strength while still gaining rewards, it was perfect.

”Moreover, there are many prey in the surrounding area. The prey quantities in the four directions are almost the same as those near Red Grass Plain.” Huozhi opened the numerical display. Indeed, the hunting grounds around Tianmai Plateau could be considered extremely abundant.

”Of course, this place also has its weaknesses. Although easy to defend, hunting is a bit troublesome. Leaving by land also requires going down that steep slope. If taking aircraft, one must be wary of flying lifeforms and ground-based lifeforms capable of attacking targets in the sky. The surrounding hunting grounds are also a bit far. Hunting efficiency will be affected to some extent.”

This place was considered the second most suitable by the Su Clan. Harvest would definitely be less than at Red Grass Plain, but safety was prioritized, and losses would be smaller.

After speaking, Huozhi looked at Ye Zhongming again. Seeing that his brow was still furrowed, he thought to himself that this little guy was quite picky.

”Letʼs look at the third place. The information personnel didnʼt give it a name. Letʼs temporarily call it Intestines-Mouth Stronghold.”

Huozhi tapped on the holographic simulation map, and a ruin appeared before everyoneʼs eyes.

This should be architecture left by the natives, but after who knows how many years of abandonment, now only broken walls remain.

However, the fact that this place was chosen as a base in the past clearly meant it had advantages. Compared to the Tianmai Plateau, this place was truly easy to defend and hard to attack.

”Intestines-Mouth Stronghold is built on a mountain peak, constructed according to the mountainʼs shape. The design is very good. At least half of it is hidden within the mountainʼs body. We just need to go over and repair it a bit, and we can make it a usable base again. Looking from the outside, it might not seem like much. Look at the internal scan. The space is extremely large. With the Su Clanʼs level, after using the terrain to set up formations, we basically wonʼt need to consume much manpower to deal with attacks from mid-air and the sky.”

”Intestines-Mouth Stronghold has only one not-too-wide natural stone path leading down to the swamp below and the adjacent Gobi desert. That stone path is only about ten meters wide and very winding. On both sides of the path are towering, steep, and smooth stone cliffs, impossible to pass through. Just station a few hundred soldiers, and you can firmly guard the rear. For safety, you can also set up checkpoints at every turn, forming a layered defense. I really canʼt imagine, under normal circumstances, how many lives it would cost to breach Intestines-Mouth Stronghold.”

Everyone had originally thought Tianmai Plateau was already an excellent defensible camp choice. Unexpectedly, this Intestines-Mouth Stronghold was even easier to defend. This was simply a place where one man could hold the pass against ten thousand. Guarding this stone path meant guarding the entire camp. It was incredibly safe.

”Prey resources are also abundant. The swamp in front, viewed from above, looks like a big smiling face, so itʼs called Big Smiling Face Swamp. There are many parasites here. The Greenbark Tree Gobi next to it has many mutated lifeforms, and their levels are also very suitable.”

”Disadvantages, naturally, also exist. That is, whether itʼs Big Smiling Face Swamp or Greenbark Tree Gobi, they are very unfavorable for large scale operations. They are better suited to small-scale battles involving fewer than a thousand people. Whether itʼs the puddles in the swamp or the giant Greenbark Trees, densely covered with spikes everywhere in the Gobi, they are obstacles. We estimate that the final gains are the smallest among the three places. However, the losses are also the smallest.”

After speaking, Huozhi closed the holographic image and looked at the Star-Eye Clan members, smiling as he said, ”We think these three are the most suitable. Red Grass Plain has high profits but a large defense area. Tianmai Plateau has medium profits and a long hunting distance. Intestines-Mouth Stronghold is easiest to defend with the smallest profits. Which one do you tend to choose?”

”Zhongming, what do you think?”

Huozhi valued the Star-Eye Clan, which essentially meant he valued Ye Zhongming. Now he asked for his opinion directly.

Ye Zhongming thought for a moment, then raised his head and said, ”I think none of these three places are suitable.”
