Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2104: Race Annihilation battle

”Why, not possible?” Weicu looked coldly at the people before him, his heart filled with extreme pleasure.

After all, the Eight Heads were still the Eight Heads. Although they would turn ruthless and disregard loyalty when faced with interests, they were ultimately still allies when interests were not involved.

Last time, they had casually set a trap for the Star-Eye Clan, getting them to replace the Huaitang Clan in the city guard. The Star-Eye Clan had foolishly fallen for it. From start to finish, they had lost over a thousand people, all of whom were their most outstanding warriors.

Although it had been relatively peaceful during this period, making it difficult to use these Star-Eye Clan city guard members as cannon fodder, under the constant ʼattentionʼ of the Huaitang Clan, two Star-Eye Clan warriors had still died while carrying out their tasks.

Now, the Star-Eye Clan was about to participate in the Planet Hunting Grounds and was on the verge of departure. They wanted to replace these city guard members with other clansmen, but how could the Eight Heads allow it? They refused the Star-Eye Clanʼs request on the grounds that the strength of the city guard members couldnʼt be too low. If the Star-Eye Clan did this, it would violate the rules, and they would have to face punishment.

Given the Star-Eye Clanʼs current strength, they certainly couldnʼt withstand that.

However, the Eight Heads had still left a little hint. Since the Star-Eye Clan had replaced the Huaitang Clan in the city guard, they could go and discuss with the Huaitang Clan, asking them to send people to replace the Star-Eye Clan for a period.

Of course, this was also secretly requested by the Huaitang Clan, and the timing was precisely set at just a few hours before departure. The intention was to catch the Star-Eye Clan off guard and force them to agree to the Huaitang Clanʼs conditions.

Sure enough, the Star-Eye Clan had come directly to their door, and both clan leaders had come in person.

Being defeated by the Star-Eye Clan in the Brave Trial back then—that instant had been the most humiliating moment in the lives of almost every Huaitang Clan member. Now, although they couldnʼt really do anything significant to the Star-Eye Clan, ruthlessly extorting them and then finding opportunities to pick them apart piece by piece, it could gradually could be considered revenge.
Seeing that the two clan leaders of the Star-Eye Clan had come with only four people and were adopting a very respectful attitude, Weicu and the eight or nine high-ranking members in the meeting room looked at them as if they were prey, feeling immensely smug inside.

”Ten million Moonspan Gold...”

”Five hundred employment quotas...”

”A hundred types of various medicines, two thousand pills...”

”Fifty pieces of Red Condensation-grade equipment...”

”A thousand pieces of Ke Steel Grade equipment...”

”Fifty-year usage rights to a castle in the underground fortress complex...”

Lady Star, the person seated on the left, repeated the conditions that the Huaitang Clan had just stated to her. The face behind her mask was invisible, but it must have been extremely grim.

This was practically forcing the Star-Eye Clan into a desperate situation.

Not only did they want money and equipment, but they also wanted employment quotas. It was easy to imagine what these people would do with those five hundred Star-Eye Clan warriors. Calling them cannon fodder would be an understatement; they would probably have them carry out some despicable missions.

And on top of that, they even demanded fifty-year usage rights to an underground castle!

A major reason the Star-Eye Clan could survive within Dark Strip City was that they lived underground, an area forbidden to all races living in Dark Strip City.

No one was willing to go down underground and provoke the Star-Eye Clan.

But once the usage rights to a castle were given to the Huaitang Clan, they could enter the underground fortress complex with impunity. In other words, the Star-Eye Clanʼs natural defensive line would be gone. This was practically exposing their vital point to others. Clearly, the Huaitang Clan intended to seize this weakness, making it easier to carve away pieces of the Star-Eye Clan bit by bit in the future.

”Yes, thatʼs right. Lady Star, your memory is truly impressive.”

A deputy clan leader from the Huaitang Clan beside them laughed heartily, the sarcasm and smugness in his tone completely undisguised.

At that moment, the only thing the Huaitang Clanʼs high-ranking members regretted was that the Star-Eye Clan members all wore masks, so they couldnʼt see their expressions. That... would probably have been quite a sight to behold.

”Is there no room for negotiation?”

Eye, the person on the other side, said in a low voice: ”We both know how excessive these conditions are. We admit that the Star-Eye Clan urgently needs these thousand warriors to depart with us and needs the Huaitang Clan to fill these vacancies. But if your conditions remain unchanged, then we wonʼt bring these people. At worst, weʼll do nothing when we get to the Planet Hunting Grounds. Since weʼre Novice-ranked first, weʼll just wait for our dividend.”

Hearing Eye say this, the Huaitang Clan members were prepared. Weicu said, ”Thatʼs one way to do it. But once youʼre at the Planet Hunting Grounds, things wonʼt be up to you. Donʼt forget, youʼre part of the Dark Strip City allied forces.”

The Huaitang Clan leader smiled again; they truly werenʼt afraid of the Star-Eye Clan just walking away. Because if they did, they would face the wrath of the Eight Heads.

”How about this, weʼll propose some conditions, and you can see if youʼre willing to agree.”

Eye was silent for a moment before speaking.

”Thereʼs no need for that.” It was still the same deputy clan leader who directly refused, but Weicu waved his hand to interrupt him.

”It wouldnʼt hurt for you to speak. But the departure time is drawing closer. If you delay everyoneʼs journey, the Eight Headsʼ people will come to ʼinviteʼ you.”

”Also, if your conditions donʼt satisfy me, then what I said before... add twenty percent!”

This was a blatant threat and extortion.

Eye seemed not to hear these words and began to speak: ”Weʼll give you twenty million Moonspan Gold. Our entire Star-Eye Clan can be employed. Also, five thousand pills, one hundred Red Condensation-grade items, five thousand Ke Steel Grade items, and shared usage rights to the underground fortress complex.”

These words stunned the Huaitang Clan members. Just moments ago, Weicuʼs threatening words had only increased the demands by twenty percent. Now the Star-Eye Clan was voluntarily offering so much more? Had they gone mad?

”You...”

Weicu became somewhat wary, but then he thought about the fact that they were currently within the Huaitang Clanʼs territory, and the Star-Eye Clan had only come with these six people. How could they possibly cause an upheaval?

”Surprising, isnʼt it?” The six members of the Star-Eye Clan all stood up and took a step back, putting some distance between themselves and the Huaitang Clan members.

”Weʼve been talking so much nonsense, just to buy a little time, to allow our clansmen to complete their preparations. Now, the time has come.”

Hearing Eye say this, all the Huaitang Clan members dared not be complacent and stood up one after another, ready to act at any moment.

”What do you mean? Attacking us?” Weicu squinted as he looked at the two clan leaders of the Star-Eye Clan and asked.

”To be precise, itʼs erasing the Huaitang Clan from the cosmic races.” Eye said with a cold smile.

”Haha, just you? A insignificant Star-Eye Clan?” The Huaitang Clan members all felt that these Star-Eye people had gone completely mad, speaking so arrogantly. They didnʼt actually think that because they had won once in the Brave Trial, they had the strength to annihilate the Huaitang Clan, did they? Even putting that aside, even if the Star-Eye Clan did have such strength, their two clan leaders were right here in this room. Did they think they could escape?

”Are you thinking that, even if you die, youʼll drag us down with you? Or perhaps you think that by controlling us, you can command the Star-Eye Clan?”
