Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan had no intention of spending the night at the police station, and his car was parked in the station’s yard at the moment.

When he returned to the car, Liu Li was still awake. As soon as he got in, she leaned over and asked worriedly, ”Those officers didn’t give you a hard time, did they?”

Li Younan chuckled, ”No way, how could they?”

”So what about now?”

”We are going to drive the car away now; we still have to get into the village tomorrow.”

”Oh, oh.”

It was already around four or five in the morning, and anyone would feel tired after such an ordeal. Li Younan was feeling a bit sleepy too.

So he quickly drove the car to a suitable camping spot, noticing that the sky was about to brighten, meaning there was no chance of getting a proper rest tonight. They’d have to catch up on sleep during the day.

Fortunately, once the car was completely sealed, it was well soundproofed, so there was no worry about being woken up by passing cars tomorrow.

After parking the car steadily, Li Younan saw that Liu Li had fallen asleep leaning over a table seat, with a book she bought at the county town earlier placed beside her.

He smiled helplessly. Although the inside temperature of the car was over 20 degrees, it would still be easy to catch a cold like this.

Li Younan picked Liu Li up, taking the opportunity to sniff the fragrant scent of the young girl, and carried her to the lift bed.

At this moment, Liu Li woke up. She opened her eyes and grabbed Li Younan, ”Where are you going again?”

Li Younan suddenly remembered that, thanks to Tuantuan’s early warning, they quickly discovered the bear earlier. So he thought about messing with it.

He had to admit, this owl was quite useful at crucial moments.

Li Younan grew fond of this little creature, itching to ruffle its feathers and mess up its fur.

Not convenient to say this out loud, Li Younan said, ”I want to freshen up a bit.”

Liu Li shook her head and said, ”No need, just go to sleep. You’re already really tired today, and didn’t you freshen up earlier tonight?”

”I must. I’m a clean person, and besides, you are so clean.”

”It’s okay, look at how dirty your hands are, and I still let you hold me.”

Li Younan was taken aback and looked at his own hands.

Earlier, when killing the bear, he tried to avoid getting blood on his clothes, but while piercing the bear’s carotid artery, some blood did splash onto his hands...although not much.

Li Younan was thoroughly defeated, realizing his skills weren’t profound enough; he hadn’t even noticed for so long.

But it made him determined to wash up.

As he walked past the owl, the little creature was quietly preening itself, its round body looking like a large plush toy.

The owl was indeed not small; it was bigger than the average cat.

When Li Younan came out of the bathroom after cleaning up, with his hands still wet, he messed up Tuantuan’s freshly groomed feathers.

Still wet.

The little creature didn’t show any anger and simply tilted its head, continuing to groom itself.

Li Younan laughed out loud, but then noticed Liu Li looking at him wide-eyed, immediately feeling a bit guilty.

These days, he could feel how much Liu Li, who named Tuantuan, adored this owl. In the eyes of these cute girls, perhaps teasing fluffy little animals was a heinous crime; such clumsy-looking plush animals can make women briefly forget what they cherish.

Just as Li Younan was about to explain, Liu Li blankly said, ”It looks really fun, I want to try it too!”

Li Younan coughed.

”Stop playing, it’s time to sleep.”

”The sky is already getting bright, shall we still sleep?”

”If we don’t sleep, we won’t have the energy to explore the village tomorrow. There are lots of interesting places, and we’ll be walking a lot.”

”But I don’t want to sleep, let’s chat instead.”

”What do you want to chat about?”

”Do you think Tuantuan is a good name?”

”It’s alright.”

”But I don’t think it sounds good.”

”Well...it was your idea.”

”Got to change with the times...”

”Is that how you use that expression?”

”I don’t care.”

”Uh, so do you want to give it a new name?”

”Let’s give it a new name!”

By this time, Li Younan was already quite sleepy, yet he saw Liu Li’s eyes growing brighter, showing no signs of drowsiness.

With a bit of helplessness, he climbed into bed, sitting at the bedside to talk with the cute girl.

Liu Li said, ”I came up with the name last time, you choose it this time.”

”It’s very energetic at night, let’s call it Heihei.”

”No, that name is too perfunctory.”

”It can’t fly, so let’s call it Paopao.”

”Sounds awful.”

Li Younan said helplessly, ”Why are you so insistent on changing its name?”

Liu Li suddenly fell silent, then seriously said, ”I want to call it An’an, as in peace and safety, safe and sound.”

She looked at Li Younan, who paused and then understood, patting Liu Li’s head, ”When I was dealing with the bear earlier...were you scared?”

Liu Li shook her head, ”I wasn’t scared, I wasn’t scared. I just knew I shouldn’t be a burden to you, otherwise, I would have rushed out to help you.”

”...”

”Don’t you believe me?”

In the dim light, Li Younan saw Liu Li’s eyes firm and bright.

He said, ”I believe.”

...

When they woke up the next day, it was already nearly noon.
