Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

The next moment she twitched her nose and tears suddenly welled up.

She unbuckled her seatbelt: ”Li Younan, I’m scared.”

After saying that, Liu Li burst into tears like a beautiful flower in the rain.

Li Younan understood Liu Li’s feelings at the moment, and he too unbuckled his seatbelt and moved closer to her.

He raised his hand, hesitated slightly, and then gently stroked Liu Li’s head, giving it a caress.

Liu Li wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes: ”Li Younan, hug me... I’m, I’m scared.”

At that moment, Li Younan really wanted to dismantle the obstructive center control area of the car—

No hug achieved.

Fortunately, they were safe for now, though it was not yet convenient to get out of the car to check.

Compared to the driver’s cabin, the armored-like living cabin at the back was safer.

Li Younan took Liu Li back to the living cabin.

By now, Liu Li’s emotions had stabilized quite a bit.

It’s a bit of a pity, because if he wanted to hug Liu Li again, it seemed that the atmosphere from before had dissipated.

Li Younan patted Liu Li’s shoulder, which was still trembling slightly.

He said softly, ”It’s okay, I’m here, you’re safe.”

Liu Li bit her lip and nodded.

In this moment, Li Younan gently leaned Liu Li against himself...

However, just then, the door was gently knocked.

Liu Li suddenly thought of something and shivered: ”Ah! Right, how is your friend doing?”

Li Younan suddenly remembered Zhizhi, and hurriedly went to open the door.

The next moment, Zhizhi outside the RV appeared, face full of desperation, and directly plunged into Li Younan’s arms.

”Brother Li, I’m scared.”

Li Younan raised his hands, looking innocent, and instinctively glanced at Liu Li beside him—only to see her looking dumbfounded, unable to react.

...

About 20 minutes later, the emotions of the two girls had calmed down.

The owl Tuantuan perched carefreely on the coat rack, quietly grooming its feathers, occasionally blinking its large eyes.

Li Younan poured them each a cup of hot tea.

Earlier, he had already contacted the outside world via satellite phone.

This avalanche was more widespread than imagined, and the rescue teams couldn’t reach them in the short term.

Instead, Li Younan reassured the local rescue department, saying everything was safe here, and they had food and water, so there was no need to hurry.

Seeing that everything outside had completely quieted down, Li Younan was planning to go out and check the situation.

He told the two girls to rest for a while, and pushed the car door open to go outside.

Outside the car, it was silent, with only a few sporadic snowflakes still falling from above, making sounds as they hit the snow.

Ahead of the car and behind stood two thick snow walls, several meters thick, embedded with rubble and broken branches, marked with gouges from the avalanche’s impact.

The right side of the slope exposed large patches of brown-black rock, with remaining snow chunks hanging in the crevices.

As for Zhizhi’s little POLO, it was fine; sporadic rubble and branches had been blocked by the massive Unimog.

Li Younan’s car was parked in a mountain hollow, where the hard rock blocked most of the impact.

Although sporadic rubble hit the Unimog, the thick armor proved its worth, with even the anti-explosion paint remaining undamaged.

There was snow on the roof, though, which Li Younan planned to sweep away later to clear out the drone cabin and use the drone for a better view of the surroundings.

A short distance away, thick snow covered the ground, barely reaching the ankles, and depressions formed with each step.

The shrubs around the hollow were bent by snow, branches pressed against the ground.

As for the road, it had completely vanished.

Li Younan climbed to the roof to sweep away the snow, then launched the drone.

After reviewing the full view of the avalanche again, his heart sank slightly.

This avalanche was much more severe than he had imagined; exactly speaking, it wasn’t just a matter of the avalanche. Many sections of the route had been destroyed by snow and falling rocks, both sides completely sealed off.

Li Younan flew the drone further, and the scene became even more troublesome: the mountaintop was snowy, while mid-slope there were mudslides and landslides.

Without any new secondary disasters, clearing this road would take at least several days.

Li Younan brought the drone back and looked up at the sky.

It was afternoon by now, the clouds were starting to gather, and snowflakes began to fall.

Li Younan chuckled helplessly: ”Well, when it rains, it pours.”
