Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Li Younan, at this moment, sneered coldly. As the bear’s claws attacked, the long knife slashed precisely upward onto the bear’s claws, splitting them in half.

The bear let out a miserable scream.

His body avoided any contact with the bear by a fraction. As the bear lost its momentum and slumped to the ground, Li Younan suddenly pushed off with his rear leg, moved swiftly onto the bear’s back, and fiercely stabbed downward at the bear’s nape with the short blade in his right hand.

Then his body twisted in mid-air, and the short blade drove into the bear’s flesh and bone, even rotating slightly, positioning him behind the bear.

The bear was still struggling, but its strength was diminishing.

Li Younan quickly pulled out the blade, stabbing rapidly several more times, with the final strike not only severing the bear’s artery but deeply piercing its trachea.

Pin it down tightly!

The bear’s body struggled and twitched, but after a few moments, it could no longer move.

...

Half an hour later, when the local police arrived on the scene, they were stunned by the sight before them.

At this moment, the tourists in the three vehicles had calmed down.

The tall Unimog RV, resembling an armored vehicle, was parked sideways by the roadside with its spotlights illuminating the entire campsite brightly.

The three SUVs had adjusted from their prior camping setup into a ready-to-drive state, and the attacked vehicle’s scattered belongings had been picked up and organized aside, yet the mess on the ground was still visible.

But the most conspicuous sight was the enormous Tibetan Bear lying on the ground.

The police officer in charge of the response, Luo Yong, breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this—a third Tibetan Bear attack on tourists had been prevented.

Although those previous incidents involved tourists’ negligence, the events occurred within this jurisdiction nonetheless.

The superiors had repeatedly issued warnings to prevent such situations from happening, but unexpectedly so soon again, reports of a Tibetan Bear attacking people had come in, causing headaches for anyone involved.

In recent years, human activity has expanded increasingly overlapping with the areas where Tibetan Bears roam.

And it’s spring now, the time when Tibetan Bears have just awakened from hibernation and need to consume large amounts of food, making this period the most dangerous.

Upon receiving the call, the tourist’s voice was frantic and chaotic, reporting that the Tibetan Bear had already attacked one vehicle, smashing the window of another.

As the area’s responsible officer, Luo Yong instantly felt a foreboding sense of worry, envisioning a potentially fatal accident involving injuries tonight.

Such an accident could lead to the closure of the entire village for remediation, dealing a heavy blow to the local economy. If news spreads, it might further impact the area’s tourism image.

They responded quickly, rushing from the town with full gear, prepared to even shoot the Tibetan Bear if necessary.

Yet upon arrival, the scene was completely different from what everyone expected.

...

Li Younan felt a bit helpless, having to drive to the local police station in the middle of the night to make a statement.

In the police station’s lobby at that moment, the frightened tourists, especially the three female tourists, despite being safe, still recounted the experience with lingering fear and trembling voices.

The two children nestled in their respective mothers’ arms also showed scared expressions.

Three male tourists managed to calmly narrate the incidents, repeatedly assuring the officers of their truthful account.

After listening to them babble for a while, Luo Yong, in charge of taking statements, twitched the corner of his mouth slightly.

The statements were being collected individually; at this moment, he turned his gaze toward the idle Li Younan beside them: ”Are you saying he took down a Tibetan Bear with just two knives?”

”To be precise, there were also arrows. I shot it twice with them,” Li Younan explained from the side.

After hearing the tourists describe it, Luo Yong found it too incredible, yet the situation at the scene indeed matched... From the photographed evidence, the Tibetan Bear was indeed killed by the short blade.

The tourists were unharmed, though there was property damage—a car window and some facilities inside a vehicle were destroyed.

However, these were not the focus of their work right now...

No one was injured, but a Tibetan Bear was killed.

They must now verify one thing: whether they were truly attacked, facing extreme danger, meeting the conditions for emergency self-defense.

Otherwise, killing a Tibetan Bear like this could legally implicate them in illegally hunting a protected animal.

Luo Yong turned his gaze to Li Younan.

”Could you please tell your name, ID number, and occupation?”

”Name is Li Younan, ID number is 5XXXXX... Occupation? Well... more like a content creator.”

”Now, I need you to describe the situation back then.”

Li Younan nodded, calmly and succinctly recounting the events, noticeably clearer and to the point than the previous three tourists, explaining in just a few sentences.

The matter was straightforward: he spotted the Tibetan Bear and alerted the others; the bear arrived and launched an attack; then he retrieved his gear, got off the vehicle, and killed the Tibetan Bear.
