Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Many of these glaciers are untouched by modern industry, and even local people rarely venture into them. It’s a truly unexplored secret realm.

Li Younan wasn’t the only one with such thoughts.

After visiting Peach Blossom Valley, a convoy of cars arrived, parking on an open space at a village entrance.

A group of hiking enthusiasts in professional gear, equipped with crampons and ice axes, were preparing for a glacier expedition.

When they saw Li Younan’s car, they approached him out of curiosity and admiration for the Unimog. After exchanging a few words, they set off into the mountains.

Li Younan thought for a while and suddenly asked Liu Li beside him, ”Brother Long, would you like to join me on an adventure?”

Liu Li was slightly taken aback and nodded almost without hesitation, ”I would love to!”

Li Younan smiled silently.

At that moment, Liu Li seemed like a house cat released from its cage, curious about everything.

The car was equipped with a full set of climbing gear, anticipating that he might take Liu Li on an adventure, so preparations were already in place.

When he took out the crampons and ice axes and placed them in front of Liu Li, she tilted her head in thought and suddenly asked, ”Li Younan, did you already think I would get better during this trip?”

”Why do you ask that?”

”You bought all the equipment in pairs, including helmets and gear.”

”That’s strange. Can’t I just have a spare set?”

”A pink helmet...pink ice axe?”

”...”

”By the way, do we need such flashy colors for an adventure?”

Li Younan thought about it, ”I have some anti-explosion paint on the car; I’ll paint over this pink right now.”

”Oh no, don’t do that... you miser.”

Liu Li hurriedly held onto the items, afraid he might really paint them.

”Haha...”

...

Although the adventure plan was spontaneously raised, Li Younan made thorough preparations before setting out.

First, Li Younan wasn’t sure how long this adventure might take. Maybe after entering the mountains, he’d feel it wasn’t interesting enough and return the same day; it’s also possible that as they venture farther and deeper, the scenery would become increasingly magnificent, prompting them to stay inside the mountains for another two days. All scenarios were possible.

So, as Li Younan packed his backpack, he considered every possible situation. He not only packed essential gear like a double tent, ice axe, and crampons, but also ample food and high-pressure gas cylinders. After thinking it over, he added the portable oxygen generator to his backpack.

To be honest, oxygen generators are bulky and heavy, and any usual hiking enthusiast carrying one would find it a burden.

But for Li Younan, thanks to his powerful skills, he could basically ignore the weight, though unfortunately, he couldn’t ignore the backpack space it occupied.

Fortunately, this journey wasn’t truly a trekking expedition, so it was manageable.

Since Liu Li hadn’t participated in this type of hiking before, it was reasonable for Li Younan to pack her backpack.

Li Younan finished packing her backpack, helped her put it on, and asked, ”How does it feel? Can you carry it?”

Liu Li snorted, ”You underestimate me.”

She tugged on the backpack straps, even jumped in place twice, to show she could handle it fine.

Li Younan rubbed his chin, ”Wow, quite impressive. In that case, I’ll entrust these two high-altitude gas cylinders to you too.”

While speaking, Li Younan pressed the gas cylinders onto Liu Li’s backpack.

The girl immediately lost her balance and fell to the ground.

”Haha.”

”You rascal!”

...

Of course, when they officially set off, Li Younan wasn’t actually so cruel as to let Liu Li carry too much weight.

However, to conserve backpack space, Li Younan decided not to have Liu Li carry the tent.

He explained earnestly, ”I’m carrying a large double tent big enough for both of us to sleep in, along with all our stuff. The extra space can hold more hand warmers.”

”Oh, and once we get up the mountain, even though it’s just one tent, we’ll be sleeping in sleeping bags, so...”

”Alright, alright, you don’t need to explain further.” Liu Li interrupted him before he could finish.

She shook her head, ”I understand, it’s a purely platonic traveling buddy relationship...”

”Uh, that’s the idea... But don’t tell your brother.”

”Not tell my brother? Why are you afraid?”

”Afraid you’ll get into trouble.”

”You’re afraid you’ll get into trouble yourself!”

”If a fight broke out, would you help me or him?”

”Uh... Well, this... this...”

”Haha... Let’s go, off we go.”

Behind the village lay a small mountain trail.

At first, it wasn’t too challenging, just a bit steep.

But as they moved away from the village, the path ahead shifted from a clear, foot-beaten track to a wild and unregulated one.

Luckily, there were still signs of human passage to be seen.

For Li Younan, traversing such a path posed no challenge.

However, as they got further from the village and closer to the glacier, entering the dense primal forest, the trail got tougher. Li Younan glanced at Liu Li—she seemed undaunted by the wild path, her face full of the novelty and excitement of her first adventure.

After crossing over a mountain ridge and continuing forward, they could see a glacial river flowing from the valley—that was formed from the glacier melting at the bottom.
