Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 447: Chapter 351: Red Carpet Warm-Up

This is a film premiere that has garnered much media attention.

Because tonight, aside from this event, there are no other glittering ones.

They can only aim their cameras here—only can, but it doesn’t mean they are unwilling. According to the information they received in advance, tonight’s premiere is even more star-studded than some fashion brand events, and even some fashion magazine’s year-end events.

A week ago, a fashion magazine held its annual event, aside from Wei Ruxue, Li Ci, Su Yan, and Wen Xi, other attendees were harshly labeled by the critical media as a ”hodgepodge of talent show idols and live-streaming celebrities,” and even more scathingly commented by sharper tongues that ”without this event, it is still a highbrow fashion magazine in the public’s impression, a flagbearer of fashion trends; with this event, everyone suddenly realized, it’s just a street stall, just set up a stove and you can have a hotpot.”

It demonstrates how difficult it was for celebrities to schedule for this year’s activities.

But for today’s premiere of this arthouse film, the confirmed attendees include Zhou Yun, Song Chi, Li Ci, Gu Huaichun, the four top trending stars, along with Shen Yao and Wen Xi, two figures at the apex in their respective domains. Merely these six individuals already surpass that fashion magazine’s annual event. This is like a university’s art performance, where even the performers are more luxurious than the lineup at the National Grand Theatre.

In addition to them, well-known artists like Yuk Chu, Wang Jing, Zhou Benyuan, Lew Yuan, and Yu Yhan are also attending.

The lineup is undeniably luxurious.

This is a confirmed list, and it’s said that there are some surprise guests yet to be announced.

Reporters, having received this list, were amazed and discussed amongst themselves.

”New Shield really spared no expense to promote this movie, bringing so many stars.” a reporter said.

”New Shield? I don’t think it’s just New Shield, look at the people on this list, most are associated with Zhou Yun, probably invited by Zhou Yun herself. Shen Yao just filmed ’Warm Little Horse’ with her, Song Chi is her boyfriend, Li Ci is from the same agency as her, Gu Huaichun collaborated with her on ’Eighth Heartbeat’, Wen Xi was photographed shopping with her recently, they are good friends...”

”Zhou Yun is really well-connected, in such a short time, she has built such strong relationships.”

”Of course, people respect her because she single-handedly won the Movie Queen award.”

...

As reporters discussed, the stars waiting to walk the red carpet also greeted each other.

The first to appear was Wen Xi.

As a professional model, the moment she stepped onto the red carpet, her presence was all-encompassing, with a futuristic long dress featuring metallic sequins making her look very cool.

This time, a red carpet interview area was specially set up. It is well known that at such red carpet events, the most likely to generate viral content are iconic photos and interview clips.

As long as the material is sufficient, professionals can find synergies to market a topic that resonates with the masses.

Wen Xi, with a radiant smile, accepted an interview and said, ”Xiao Yun and I met at a VX runway show previously, she was a guest model, I really admire her. She is a very opinionated girl, which I think is very important for girls, and it’s a quality I highly admire.”

”Do you have plans to act in movies in the future?”

”Expertise is specialized, I’d better stick to my profession.” After the interview, Wen Xi nodded and walked towards the inner venue.

The second to appear was Yuk Chu.

Although Yuk Chu’s fame is relatively smaller, Zhou Yun’s fans all know that she has been Zhou Yun’s good friend in the entertainment industry for a long time, at one point, her only friend.

Zhou Yun’s fans call her Noble Consort Yuk.

After she walked onto the red carpet, many fans shouted, ”Noble Consort Yuk looks beautiful!”

Yuk Chu, pleasantly surprised, then chuckled and waved her hand, saying, ”Oh stop it.”

The reporters were clearly less enthusiastic towards her than towards Wen Xi. But Zhou Lan had earlier distributed red packets, and today everyone present was supporting Zhou Yun, so they couldn’t allow people to feel uncomfortable. So although the reporters were not very interested, someone still enthusiastically asked, ”I just heard many people shouting Noble Consort Yuk, what does that mean? Is that a nickname from the fans?”

Yuk Chu shook her head and said, ”It’s a nickname from Xiao Yun’s fans.”

”Have you seen this movie before?”

”Not yet,” Yuk Chu shook her head, ”I came here to watch this movie today.”

”Everyone knows you and Zhou Yun are good friends, in your eyes, what kind of person is Zhou Yun?”

Yuk Chu pondered for a moment, carefully considering before answering, ”A person with principles but also very loyal.”

”Loyal? It’s rare to hear someone describe a woman with that term.” the reporter said.

Yuk Chu smiled and said, ”Loyalty isn’t just a term reserved for men.”

...

The guests continued to arrive at the premiere.

However, because there were no heavyweight guests until then, the atmosphere wasn’t particularly lively.

It wasn’t until Director Kang walked the red carpet with his wife Song Minren that the flashlights flashed like a sea.

Director Kang is a renowned director and a venerated senior in the entertainment industry.

Such esteemed directors, although not celebrities, are also hot topics for reporters, their fame not lesser than that of frontline celebrities.

”Is Director Kang here today specifically to support Zhou Yun?” For this surprise guest not listed among the attendees, the reporters’ enthusiasm was boosted.

Director Kang, with a cheerful grin, said, ”Of course, I heard this girl made a really good movie and won an amazing award, I had to come and see.”

”When will ’Heart Inquiry’ that Director Kang worked on with Zhou Yun be aired? Everyone has been looking forward to it for a long time.”

”Very soon, if all goes well, it could air next month, but let’s wait for the official announcement,” answered Director Kang.

”What is your impression of Zhou Yun in working on ’Heart Inquiry’?”

”I was pleasantly surprised; she is a gifted, talented, and very hard-working young person.” Kang said, ”She’s a young person I greatly admire, otherwise why do you think I came here today?”

Director Kang’s last statement also revealed his confidence.

Indeed, he doesn’t attend the premiere for every actor he works with.

Who doesn’t know, Director Kang is the director who cherishes his reputation most.

”Clearly, Director Kang really admires Zhou Yun,” the reporters said.

Director Kang chuckled, ”Wait till ’Heart Inquiry’ is out, then you’ll know why she’s the kind of actress many directors hope to work with.”
