Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 434: Chapter 344: Just Feeling Helpless

”I’m so angry.”

The day before the wrap-up, after filming a scene, Liu Yuqian suddenly sat down beside her, fuming.

Zhou Yun didn’t expect Liu Yuqian to describe her feelings to her this way.

”Angry?” Zhou Yun asked, ”What’s made you so angry?”

”You’re asking me what has made me angry?” Liu Yuqian displayed an expression that said ”Isn’t it obvious,” ”I don’t know who in the crew is such a villain, secretly taking photos of me! And then they even posted them online!”

So that was what this was about.

Zhou Yun said, ”You don’t want it to be public?”

Liu Yuqian curled her lip in disdain and said, ”What public? Xiao Yun, do you really think I would be with someone like Xu Caisheng?”

”Didn’t you two...” Zhou Yun was somewhat unsure how to describe that photo, ”Is it a misunderstanding?”

”That photo?” Liu Yuqian shook her head, ”That did happen, but I’m not with him. Really, how could I be with someone like him.”

It seemed that Liu Yuqian was extremely bothered by others mistaking her for being in a relationship with Xu Caisheng.

Zhou Yun thought about Liu Yuqian’s standards for a boyfriend and suddenly understood that Xu Caisheng didn’t fully meet those three criteria.

Although Xu Caisheng was handsome, he was just a photography assistant, and both his career and income were quite a bit lower than Liu Yuqian’s.

Zhou Yun came to her senses, wanting to say something but not knowing what to say.

Nothing seemed appropriate.

”So, what do you plan to do?” Zhou Yun asked.

Liu Yuqian said, ”I need to find a chance to clear things up with Xu Caisheng so he doesn’t go around talking nonsense.”

Zhou Yun was torn between laughter and tears.

”So, is there a possibility that Xu Caisheng might mistakenly think... that you two are already together?” Zhou Yun suddenly realized this key question.

Liu Yuqian shook her head, ”Of course not, I made it very clear to him from the start that it’s impossible for me to be with him.”

Zhou Yun understood that for the two of them, it was just a transaction of getting what they both needed.

If Xu Caisheng wasn’t secretly dating Meng Ran, Zhou Yun felt that there was nothing wrong with that.

But Xu Caisheng was definitely playing the field. So, did Liu Yuqian know about Xu Caisheng and Meng Ran’s situation? Zhou Yun was tempted to ask Liu Yuqian, but felt it wasn’t quite right to ask directly.

Yet Liu Yuqian noticed Zhou Yun’s hesitation.

”Xiao Yun, what do you want to say?”

Zhou Yun was silent for a moment, then said, ”Does Xu Caisheng have a girlfriend?”

Liu Yuqian widened her eyes in surprise and then laughed.

”Of course not, if he had a girlfriend, I wouldn’t look for him. Why would I want that kind of trouble?” Liu Yuqian waved her hand, ”I just thought he was quite handsome, so I approached him.”

Zhou Yun chuckled awkwardly.

”What’s wrong?” Liu Yuqian asked.

Zhou Yun felt embarrassed.

To say it or not?

In the end, Zhou Yun chose to be indirect.

”Yuqian, to my knowledge, he does have a girlfriend, but you might want to ask him for the specifics.”

Liu Yuqian’s expression froze instantly.

She opened her mouth as if to say something, but nothing came out.

”You mean...”

”Mmm, as far as I know, he has a girlfriend, and that person isn’t you.”

Zhou Yun looked at Liu Yuqian with apology in her eyes.

She knew that the fact she had just revealed would bring Liu Yuqian suffering and trouble that she probably didn’t need to face.

Perhaps Liu Yuqian would have never known about Xu Caisheng and Meng Ran being together.

But who knows what might happen in the future?

Liu Yuqian didn’t say a word, suddenly stood up, and walked straight towards Xu Caisheng.

Zhou Yun saw Liu Yuqian calling Xu Caisheng out, the former’s face filled with repressed anger.

After ten minutes, Liu Yuqian came back.

She sat down, crossed her arms over her chest, looked straight ahead, and asked, ”Did you know about this a long time ago?”

”Huh?”

”His relationship with Meng Ran.” Liu Yuqian turned her head, staring at Zhou Yun, ”You knew about it a long time ago, didn’t you?”

Zhou Yun could only nod and said, ”I found out about it due to an accident before.”

Liu Yuqian’s jaw was clenched tightly, as if her teeth were grinding against each other.

”And you didn’t even tell me!” Her tone was filled with restrained anger.

Zhou Yun explained, ”I didn’t know that he was still...”

She didn’t know how to continue.

It was not until then that Liu Yuqian turned her head angrily, glared at Zhou Yun, lowered her voice, and said, ”Now I’m the mistress!”

Zhou Yun didn’t know how to comfort Liu Yuqian for a while.

”Of course not, don’t say that, you didn’t know about their affair.”

But Liu Yuqian was too agitated, unable to suppress her emotions.

People around noticed the commotion and looked over curiously.

Zhou Yun placed her hand on the back of Liu Yuqian’s hand, ”Let’s talk about it after the shooting, okay? There are so many people here right now.”

Liu Yuqian’s eyes were red with anger, as if she was going to lose her mind.

”With so many people, they probably all know I’ve meddled in someone else’s relationship! Xu Caisheng, that bastard, I’m going to kill him!”

”No one knows, their affair was always kept secret, you shouldn’t think like that.” Zhou Yun tried to persuade her, ”And you were deceived by Xu Caisheng, you’re not the one who did something wrong, really, you have to believe me, this isn’t your fault at all, you wouldn’t have interfered if Xu Caisheng hadn’t lied to you.”

”I’m not that kind of person!” Liu Yuqian said indignantly, her eyes welling up with a tear as she looked at Zhou Yun sadly, ”You know how much I hate the idea of intruding on someone else’s relationship!”

Zhou Yun could only hug Liu Yuqian.

”Alright, don’t cry, so many people are watching, you wouldn’t want them to start speculating, right?”

Liu Yuqian sniffled, lifting her head and wiping her eyes.

Zhou Yun was filled with sighs in her heart.

This matter was really complicated and messy.

Because of Liu Yuqian’s emotional state, the scene today was not shot smoothly, requiring multiple takes, and in the end, it took four hours longer than planned.

Everyone could see that Liu Yuqian had emotional issues.

When Zhou Yun went back to the dressing room to change, she overheard people whispering, ”What’s wrong with Liu Yuqian? Why does she look so unhappy?”

Another person said, ”She seems not very keen on letting people know that she’s dating Xu Caisheng, which is understandable. She’s a celebrity, and although Xu Caisheng is handsome, he’s just a photography assistant. Their statuses are too different; it’s very normal for Liu Yuqian not to want people to know.”

”Eh? She looks down on Xu Caisheng? Then she shouldn’t have been with him from the start.” The first speaker expressed sympathy for Xu Caisheng.

Zhou Yun just felt helpless.
