Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 402: Chapter 322: Turning Point (Part 2)

Xu Guiying looked even more astonished.

”You’ve taken me by surprise; I don’t know how to react,” Xu Guiying said. ”Normal people don’t act like you do.”

Without saying a word, Zhou Yun opened her arms and hugged Xu Guiying, saying, ”Because I hope to get your help.”

Xu Guiying was shocked for a moment, and after Zhou Yun let her go, she waved her hand and said, ”I can’t help you with this, Little Yu is someone I cherish, and I won’t allow him to escape my control, Miss Zhou. We are different, gaining possession of someone you cherish isn’t easy at my age.”

Zhou Yun didn’t expect Xu Guiying to be so forthright. She said, ”I don’t know Yu Zhiyang well, having only met him a few times. I’m not familiar with the relationship between you and him, but he’s very suitable for the male lead in my next movie. I’ve searched for many, but none fit better than him.”

”Of course,” Xu Guiying did not seem surprised by this, ”He’s not like those pretty, slick-haired male celebrities in your entertainment industry.”

”Then, President Xu, why are you unwilling to let him achieve some real value in life?” Zhou Yun said, ”You’ve already achieved success, but he has just stepped out of school, it’s time for him to work hard and realize his value, isn’t it?”

Xu Guiying said, ”People are selfish.”

”Selfish people never get true love,” Zhou Yun said, ”You certainly understand this.”

”Do you think you’re in a position to say that to me?” Xu Guiying said, ”I thought you were smarter.”

”Have you heard about my relationship with Song Chi?” Zhou Yun asked.

”Congratulations,” Xu Guiying said reservedly.

”Many in the entertainment industry like him, and there are no shortages of people who want to forcefully assert themselves on him, but the fact is, no one can really get close to him,” Zhou Yun said, ”The more you force a person, the harder it is to obtain them.”

Xu Guiying smiled slightly and said, ”Miss Zhou, you are really too young.”

”Yu Zhiyang needs an opportunity.”

”As long as he wants, he can have what others of his age strive for their entire lives.”

”But that may not be what he wants, he is someone who can get into Tsing Hua and Peking University through his own efforts, how can he be content with losing control of his own life?” Zhou Yun challenged.

Xu Guiying said, ”After he has worn down his sharpness over the next few years, it will be alright.”

”What if it doesn’t wear off?” Zhou Yun said, ”Swords become sharper the more they are honed.”

Xu Guiying said, ”Young people think they’re sharp because they possess youthful vigor.”

”Only when he hits the wall himself will he recognize and compromise. If you keep him at the bottom of the well, he will only keep trying to jump out to see the world,” Zhou Yun said, ”If you let him go out and see the world, perhaps he will then appreciate the goodness of the well.”

Xu Guiying said, ”Who can guarantee that the frog that jumps out will come back?”

Zhou Yun said, ”The frog that cannot jump out will also live in discontent, unable to find happiness.”

Xu Guiying: ”Miss Zhou, we need not discuss further; this is not something you can change with a few words.”

”I wasn’t thinking of changing you; I just want to say that as a young person, I understand what young people like me and Yu Zhiyang feel like. I don’t have control over what kind of contract you signed with him, nor what promises he made. However, if you keep restraining him, binding him, and sealing his hands and feet, allowing him only to give up time and again, his resentment towards you will only grow stronger,” Zhou Yun said, ”I’m sorry, but the sharpness of youth is not worn away by anger and hatred—the anger and hatred only act as whetstones.”

Xu Guiying’s eyes fixed on Zhou Yun for a long while, then she raised her hand and said, ”Miss Zhou, I have other work to do next, we do not need to continue this conversation. Take care.”

Zhou Yun clenched her lips, sighed lightly after a long time.

”I hope you can change your mind,” Zhou Yun said, ”It’s just filming a movie, not forever distancing oneself.”

She stood up, nodded her head as a gesture, and then left.

As she reached the door, she suddenly saw Yu Zhiyang and a woman getting out of a car.

Yu Zhiyang’s expression seemed somewhat gloomy, standing to the side with his hands in his pockets, silently watching her.

Zhou Yun did not expect to encounter Yu Zhiyang here.

She hesitated for a moment, uncertain whether or not to go and greet him.
