Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 445: Chapter 349: One Night

”You’re back.” Zhou Yun sat up from the bed.

Song Chi took off his coat, placed it on a nearby chair, unbuttoned the collar of his shirt, walked to the bed, sat down, leaned over, hugged Zhou Yun, and kissed her lips.

”Just came back and already hugs and kisses,” Zhou Yun teased with a smile.

Song Chi must have had some drinks.

Zhou Yun could smell a hint of alcohol.

But it wasn’t strong.

You couldn’t tell from Song Chi’s face.

”Don’t like it?” Song Chi asked.

Zhou Yun caressed Song Chi’s face and said, ”Why did you come back so late tonight? I thought I could see you earlier.”

”There was something to discuss tonight. When did you get back?” asked Song Chi.

”A bit earlier than you,” Zhou Yun replied, ”Ah, I’ve been so tired lately, running around and always having to answer questions from others, every day is like a battle.”

”Tell Zhou Lan to not schedule you so tightly.”

”Sigh, it can’t be helped recently; a lot of things have piled up. But tomorrow is the premiere, maybe it will get better after that.”

Song Chi smiled and said: ”It probably won’t.”

Zhou Yun: ”What?”

”After the movie is released, there will be even more promotional events,” Song Chi explained, ”This situation will likely continue for a week after the premiere.”

Zhou Yun let out a long sigh and leaned against Song Chi.

”I don’t want to struggle anymore.”

”I just want to lay down.”

Holding Zhou Yun’s soft body, Song Chi laughed uncontrollably and said, ”Are you serious? If you are, I’ll call Sister Lan right now, and we can go get married tomorrow, and I’ll support you from now on.”

Zhou Yun squinted, ”You know I’m not serious, that’s why you dare to make such a promise so easily, right?”

Song Chi raised his hand and swore, ”I swear, my promises can be fulfilled at any time.”

Zhou Yun quietly looked at Song Chi, as if trying to see into the depths of his eyes.

Song Chi kissed Zhou Yun’s lips again.

Zhou Yun, holding Song Chi’s neck, said: ”We’ve only known each other for a year.”

”But I feel like I’ve known you for a long time,” Song Chi embraced Zhou Yun and lay down on the bed, ”I never thought I could love someone so much. Before, when I watched those dramas and movies, and saw people loving each other intensely, to the point of life and death, I thought it was ridiculous, but meeting you made me realize that someone can indeed make you give up all your principles.”

”Really?”

”Really,” Song Chi earnestly said, ”What about you?”

”I love you too, of course,” Zhou Yun’s cheek rested on Song Chi’s arm, ”I never planned on dating, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have broken my own rules.”

”I know.”

”You know nothing,” Zhou Yun muttered softly.

Song Chi laughed again.

What Song Chi didn’t say was that he actually really liked this vigorous and lively atmosphere about Zhou Yun, unpretentious, no disguise, full of laughter and scolding. Of course, Zhou Yun wasn’t Jin Xiangyu from ”Dragon Gate Inn,” but sometimes, Song Chi really could see a resemblance in the corners of her eyes and brows. It was a careless charisma.

People might not remember when exactly everyone started to think of Song Chi as a ”scandal-proof figure,” as if nobody could get close to him. The media described an invisible barrier around him, keeping everyone out.

In fact, when Song Chi first started his career, he wasn’t as cautious as he is now. His change stemmed from one night. At that time, he was still in a talent show competition, highly popular, with many sasaeng fans. Once, a backup dancer accidentally made a mistake and fell on him. Song Chi knew it was just a normal accident. However, his fans suddenly went crazy, organized and viciously attacked the dancer, calling her shameless, a ***** and hurling various insults. This overwhelming abuse was his first encounter with this terrifying force—after which, Song Chi’s character somewhat changed.

He has always maintained a respectful but distant approach to his fans. He appreciates them, but doesn’t want to get close to them. Similarly, he keeps his distance from all his collaborators, no matter the situation. Song Chi recognized a hard truth, as an idol, an idol upon whom countless fans project their fantasies, his very presence could bring trouble to those around him. The taller a tree grows, the more luxuriant its branches, the more nutrients it draws from the soil.

Have you ever seen small trees growing under a big tree?

When Song Chi first heard the name Zhou Yun, he actually felt a bit guilty. He knew what had happened and knew the truth. Thus, when his fans swarmed to defame Zhou Yun like locusts, he hesitated about what he could do to treat Zhou Yun better. At that time, Luo Yuhu said indifferently, ”If you want to clarify things, she might not want to clear things up. The people who criticize her are numerous, but she became famous overnight. Anyone would be willing to do this, not to mention that this might even be orchestrated by them.”

At that time, he was actually quite annoyed by Luo Yuhu’s words.

He knew many people would stop at nothing for fame, but not everyone would do that.

Think about it, he initially wanted to add Zhou Yun’s WeChat just to see what kind of person she really was, right?

Song Chi bent his arms and rested his head on them.

Zhou Yun had already fallen asleep.

He was recalling this not-so-important past just because he couldn’t sleep.

Until today, he still felt somewhat unreal.

Song Chi never thought he’d fall in love so young, nor did he ever imagine having someone he wanted to marry for a lifetime at such a young age.

It was incredible.

Song Chi didn’t even know how all this had happened.

He turned his head and looked at Zhou Yun. In the dark room, Song Chi could only faintly make out Zhou Yun’s silhouette.

Once again, he subconsciously kissed Zhou Yun’s forehead.

This magical, purely subconscious action left him feeling a bit confused.

He felt an uncontrollable impulse from his body and an unstoppable desire rising. The subtle fragrance wafting from Zhou Yun’s hair mingled with the quiet darkness, completely enveloping him.

...

The sun rose, and sunlight flooded in.

Zhou Yun slowly opened her eyes, and a blur of tangled fragments flooded her mind.

Instinctively she wondered if it was a dream or something that had actually happened.

When she let out a languid, coquettish sound, and Song Chi, with a calm look, opened his eyes and smiled at her, she remembered everything.
