Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 443: Chapter 348: Wait for My Return

Xu Guiying had not been subjected to such treatment for a long time.

Normally, she would have flipped the table and left already.

But she had already promised Yu Zhiyang to let him act in this movie.

Yu Zhiyang had only recently started to soften his attitude and smile at her...

Xu Guiying suppressed her anger once again.

She had long heard that female celebrities in the entertainment industry all thought very highly of themselves and disregarded others. According to her investigations, even someone like Zhou Yun was considered to have a good temper.

Xu Guiying didn’t have much respect for these female celebrities to begin with. Even if Zhou Yun had recently won some international Movie Queen award, so what? In Xu Guiying’s mind, a Movie Queen was nothing more than... she disdainfully spat out the words ”mere actress,” slightly soothing the irritation provoked by Zhou Yun.

The meeting ended on a sour note.

Xu Guiying returned to her office.

After a while, the secretary knocked on the door and came in, informing her that Yu Zhiyang was outside the office.

A smile immediately appeared on Xu Guiying’s face.

She said, ”Let him in.”

After a while, Yu Zhiyang entered.

Xu Guiying told the secretary, ”Go out, and if anyone comes looking for me, say I’m not here.”

The secretary nodded knowingly, turned, and left, thoughtfully closing the door behind him.

Yu Zhiyang stood at the doorway, looking somewhat at a loss with his hands clenched beside his legs.

It had been several days, but he still hadn’t adjusted.

Xu Guiying walked up to him, and the usual stoic appearance of the ”Iron Lady” in her eyes now showed rare tenderness.

She reached out to take Yu Zhiyang’s hand.

Yu Zhiyang reflexively dodged back a bit, ”Sister Guiying...”

Xu Guiying’s eyes seemed affectionate as she looked at Yu Zhiyang and said, ”Little Yu, are you still avoiding me?”

Yu Zhiyang looked down, his lips pursed, as if struggling.

Xu Guiying moved a step closer, softly saying, ”You see, you told me you wanted to act in Zhou Yun’s movie, and I agreed. Whatever you want, I can make it happen for you.”

Yu Zhiyang didn’t respond.

...

”The only reason she must have agreed to let Yu Zhiyang act in our movie is because of some issues.” As soon as Zhou Yun got into the car, she stated confidently, ”I provoked her, and she held back. With her temperament, it’s impossible for her to endure that normally.”

Zhou Lan said, ”No matter why she agreed, since she has, she can’t go back on her word. It’s good this way, clearing some things up. From now on, she’d better not put on airs.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Sister Lan, if possible, call Yu Zhiyang out sometime. I’d like to talk to him. Since he has already signed the agreement with us, talking to my future leading man shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

Zhou Lan: ”No problem, but Xu Guiying’s possessiveness over him might not let him come alone.”

”Forget about her,” said Zhou Yun, ”Xu Guiying really is the person I’ve hated most these past two years, hands down.”

Zhou Lan: ”I feel the same way.”

The two reached a consensus about Xu Guiying.

”For the premiere of ’Life,’ who are you planning to invite?” Zhou Lan changed the topic.

”Definitely inviting Song Chi and Yuk Chu,” said Zhou Yun. ”Then on your side, Wang Jing can also be invited. Oh, and Shen Yao told me to send him an invitation; he’ll be attending too.”

Zhou Lan asked with surprise, ”Shen Yao will come? Isn’t he still not done filming?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Whether he comes or not, since he’s said it to me, I definitely need to send him one.”

”Okay.”

”And don’t forget to invite his wife as well,” said Zhou Yun.

Zhou Lan agreed again.

Zhou Yun: ”I wonder if Gu Huaichun has time. I’ll give him a call.”

When told it was the premiere of ”Life,” Gu Huaichun said, ”Then I’ll definitely come, even if I have to go through all kinds of difficulties.”

Zhou Yun asked with a laugh, ”Really?”

”Really, really. I happen to be free that day. Look how lucky that is,” said Gu Huaichun. ”Considerate, right?”

Zhou Yun laughed and said, ”Considerate indeed. What about Yin Zhou? What’s he up to lately?”

”He’s filming. He might really not be able to make it,” said Gu Huaichun. ”The director of the movie he’s currently filming is quite fierce and scolds people on set every day.”

Zhou Yun asked curiously, ”Who is it? Why such a bad temper?”
