Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 411: Chapter 325: Gradually Joining the Crew (Part 3)

Zhou Yun smiled. She didn’t know what to say.

”Ever since she returned, she’s been singing your praises nonstop,” Shen Yao said.

Zhou Yun could only modestly respond: ”Really? I don’t think so.”

Shen Yao: ”I’m not lying to you.”

After a bit of small talk, Shen Yao said, ”Alright, I won’t disturb your meal any longer, I’m going to find Zhiliang. Take your time eating.”

”Okay, Brother Shen, bye.”

After everyone left, Zhou Yun also put down her chopsticks.

”Take your time eating, I’m going to the restroom,” she said to Cao Jun and Zheng Xiaojue.

”Okay, Sister Xiao Yun, we’ll wait for you here,” Zheng Xiaojue said with her cheeks puffed. She always had a good appetite.

Zhou Yun stood up and headed to the restroom.

Around the corner ahead, she saw the back of Liu Yuqian disappearing around another corner.

Zhou Yun wasn’t very keen on encountering Liu Yuqian in the restroom because it would mean making small talk again.

She thought about it and decided to go to another restroom.

Zhou Yun went upstairs searching for the restroom.

After wandering around for a while, she still couldn’t find it.

Could there really be no restrooms on the second floor? Just as this thought crossed Zhou Yun’s mind, she turned a corner and suddenly saw a man and a woman hugging in a dark corner, their lips glued together, passionately kissing.

Zhou Yun’s eyes widened in shock, and she instinctively stepped back to hide herself.

A second later, she came to her senses and carefully peeked again.

She wasn’t mistaken; the woman was Meng Ran.

And the man... Zhou Yun didn’t recognize him; he was a young, handsome boy.

Could he possibly be an actor too?

Zhou Yun quickly fled.

She didn’t want to witness this scene.

She made a hasty retreat.

Eventually, Zhou Yun still ended up returning to the restroom on the first floor. She couldn’t hold it any longer.

”Ah, Xiao Yun!” Liu Yuqian had just finished washing her hands and came out with a surprised expression upon seeing Zhou Yun, saying, ”You came to use the restroom too?”

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”Yeah.”

Smiling and exchanging pleasantries.

Zhou Yun: ”I’m going in first.”

Liu Yuqian gave an acknowledging hum.

Zhou Yun entered a stall, and after a while, sudden footsteps from outside got closer - apparently, two people.

”Zhou Yun in person is really beautiful, not at all like what they say about being camera shy.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

It seems the restroom will forever be the hotbed of gossip.

She heard yet another piece of gossip about herself.

”Ah, yes, she looks pretty but isn’t she very aloof? Aside from talking with directors and Shen Yao, she ignores everyone else. I don’t like her.”

”Celebrities always have some quirks. If I had a face like hers, I’d ignore you guys too.”

”Hahaha, that’s true.”

...

Zhou Yun inwardly complained: When was she ever aloof to others?

She had only joined the crew for a morning, most of which was spent filming. What, did she need to shake hands with everyone like a leader inspecting work before getting started?

These words filled her mind with retorts.

Still, she waited for the people to leave before exiting the stall.

Otherwise, how awkward would it be?

Zhou Yun washed her hands and walked out, just as Meng Ran came walking towards her.

Meng Ran had a radiant expression. Upon seeing Zhou Yun, she revealed a warm smile and called out, ”Sister Xiao Yun.”

Zhou Yun greeted her with a smile.

That afternoon, Zhou Yun found out who the young man Meng Ran was kissing with in the corner at noon.

Zhou Yun was wrong; he wasn’t a celebrity, but a photography assistant named Xu Caisheng.

The two who seemed inseparable with their kisses acted like strangers on the set in the afternoon, not exchanging even a glance.

This left Zhou Yun puzzled: Were these two secretly dating?

However, Meng Ran’s performance still wasn’t up to par in the afternoon. Due to her issues, Wan Zhiliang had to call ”cut” countless times.

Later, Yan Zhenxi got somewhat impatient and said, ”I’m going to the restroom.”

And left.

The atmosphere became somewhat awkward.

Meng Ran’s cheeks were red.

As Zhou Yun was about to say something to ease the tension, she heard Liu Yuqian’s coquettish voice saying, ”Xiao Ran, don’t rush, take it easy, you’ll find your groove.”

Meng Ran’s cheeks turned even redder.

Zhou Yun just felt really awkward.

Liu Yuqian’s words were undoubtedly intentional. While Yan Zhenxi didn’t explicitly say she left because Meng Ran kept messing up, Liu Yuqian’s words gave that impression.

Zhou Yun sighed softly.

Zheng Xiaojue, completely oblivious to what had happened, heard Zhou Yun sigh and asked, ”What’s wrong, Sister Xiao Yun?”

Zhou Yun: ”It’s nothing, just play with your phone, I’ll read the script for a while.”

Such situations, she couldn’t help Meng Ran ease the awkwardness.

She could only hope Meng Ran could adjust by herself.
