Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 414: Chapter 326: Food Poisoning (Part 3)

Has the contract been signed already? Are their legal affairs that efficient?

”Wow...” Zhou Yun heard Zheng Xiaojue exclaim in surprise.

She asked, ”What happened?”

”Liu Anshi posted on Moments, he seems to be talking about Meng Ran.” Zheng Xiaojue handed over her phone.

Zhou Yun took a look.

Liu Anshi is the coordinator of this drama, and Zheng Xiaojue somehow became WeChat friends with him.

Five minutes ago, Liu Anshi posted on Moments, not naming names but clearly implying: ”Friends, some actors really need to be handled with caution. It’s one thing to have poor acting skills, but when there’s a slight issue within the crew, their company hastily takes them away to start another project. Everyone is worried, tense, and uneasy, yet she remains unaffected and still looks beautiful. I’m not in a position to criticize her actions, but it does make me feel disheartened.”

Zhou Yun thought that anyone with a slight understanding of the crew of ”Warm Little Horse” would know Liu Anshi was talking about Meng Ran.

She handed the phone back to Zheng Xiaojue, saying, ”Just take a look, don’t get involved.”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded and said, ”Don’t worry, Sister Xiao Yun, I understand.”

At nine o’clock in the evening.

Zhou Yun changed clothes and said to Zheng Xiaojue, ”I’m going to visit Brother Shen in the hospital now.”

Hearing this, Zheng Xiaojue quickly stood up and said, ”Okay, I’ll call Brother Cao.”

Zhou Yun followed the address to find the hospital room where Shen Yao was staying, with a bodyguard standing outside.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Has Brother Shen gone to sleep?”

The bodyguard, recognizing Zhou Yun, shook his head and said, ”I don’t think so, the light is on.”

”Then I’ll go in and see him.” Zhou Yun took the bouquet from Zheng Xiaojue, knocked on the door, and walked in.

Shen Yao was talking to his wife, Yu Mengyao.

”Brother Shen, Sister-in-law.” Zhou Yun smiled, ”I came to see you.”

Yu Mengyao smiled upon seeing Zhou Yun and stood up, saying, ”Why are you coming so late? Get some rest early.”

”During the day there are definitely a lot of people, and you guys are busy enough, I didn’t want to bother you.” Zhou Yun handed the flowers to Yu Mengyao, saying, ”I originally wanted to find a chef to prepare some nutritious food for Brother Shen, but then I thought since Sister-in-law is here, I didn’t want to overstep. So, I brought some flowers instead.”

”What a subtle fragrance, I like it.” Yu Mengyao smelled the fragrance and nodded, placing it on the windowsill, saying, ”You guys chat, I’m just going to go downstairs to the convenience store to buy some things.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Then I’ll chat with Brother Shen here, waiting for you to come back.”

”Okay.” Yu Mengyao nodded.

As she left, she didn’t close the door completely but left it ajar.

Zhou Yun glanced at it, smiled knowingly, and sat down on a chair.

Lying on the bed, Shen Yao’s face looked a bit pale, appearing somewhat weaker than usual.

”Brother Shen, how do you feel?” Zhou Yun asked.

Shen Yao gave a bitter smile and said, ”I’m feeling a bit better now, it was really tough before.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I was almost about to become your hospital mate, luckily I thought it’s late at night so I should eat less and refrained.”

She smiled.

Shen Yao sighed and said, ”It’s still because of my gluttony.”

”What did the doctor say?” Zhou Yun asked.

”It’s okay, I can be discharged tomorrow.” Shen Yao said, ”Just staying for observation today just to be safe.”

”That’s good to hear.” Zhou Yun said.

”I need to thank you on behalf of the crew,” Shen Yao suddenly said.

”Huh?” Zhou Yun asked, ”Suddenly thanking me for what?”

Shen Yao said, ”Liu Anshi told me about today’s incident. Everyone was unsure about my condition and didn’t know how long the filming would be halted. Only you didn’t call him and kept staying in the hotel without going out, making his work much easier. Today, a few people asked him for leave to leave the crew and come back after I’m discharged. If you had said you wanted to leave, it would have been difficult for him.”

”Ah.” Zhou Yun shook her head, ”It’s just food poisoning, at most a week, we could just wait a week.”

”You saw Liu Anshi’s Moments post, right?” Shen Yao asked.

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Actually, I don’t blame Xiao Meng for the incident. It’s really because nowadays everyone is so eager for quick success and high returns. It’s not like before when we could spend half a year or a year just focusing on one film. Even now, asking someone for just two months of their schedule, their company still refuses to agree, Xiao Meng has a good attitude, but she can’t go against her company.” Shen Yao said, ”I heard that you have a lot of autonomy in your company, which is great.”

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”Don’t worry, Brother Shen, I won’t leave until I’ve finished all my scenes.”

”There, you’ve put my mind at ease.” Shen Yao smiled.
