Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 436: Chapter 345: Sudden Intimacy (Part 2)

Zhou Yun immediately called Liu Anshi to explain the situation.

Liu Anshi said he would arrange for someone to check on it right away.

Only then did Zhou Yun feel relieved.

Half an hour later, Liu Anshi messaged Zhou Yun: She’s fine, already asleep.

Zhou Yun breathed a sigh of relief and then went to sleep herself.

The next morning, Zhou Yun went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and saw Liu Yuqian, her face swollen.

She didn’t wear makeup and sat by the window with a bare face, expressionlessly eating a piece of cake.

Zhou Yun took some milk and bread and for the first time sat down next to Liu Yuqian on her own initiative.

”Oh, Xiao Yun.” Liu Yuqian looked up at her, ”I’m sorry for bothering you last night.”

”Don’t say that,” Zhou Yun hid her concern, ”Our film is almost finished. You should rest well.”

Liu Yuqian shook her head and chuckled lightly, ”How can I? The company has already set up another film for me, starting next week.”

”That soon?”

”No choice, as a minor actress, I can only earn by doing more films.” She propped her cheek with a melancholic look, smiling at Zhou Yun, ”Also, with what happened, I don’t want to be alone, working is actually quite good, keeps me busy.”

Zhou Yun looked into Liu Yuqian’s eyes and said, ”If you ever want to talk, I’m always here.”

Liu Yuqian looked at her surprised.

Zhou Yun said, ”I know I’m usually not very warm or proactive towards you all, I hope you can understand.”

Liu Yuqian shook her head, scoffed, ”There’s nothing to understand or not...”

”It’s just my personality, I can’t get close to people quickly, and I can’t be upfront about my thoughts right away, so sometimes, I really admire your kind of character, and I’m envious too.” Zhou Yun continued, ”I never expected this incident to hit you so hard, I just thought, if you knew it, it’d be better than being kept in the dark, maybe my approach was over the top, but I felt I had to do it, I thought you’d just slap Xu Caisheng twice, end things abruptly, I never expected it to drive you to drown your sorrows, I really didn’t.”

Liu Yuqian finally laughed.

”I did slap him twice, that bastard!”

Zhou Yun and Liu Yuqian smiled at each other.

On the day Zhou Yun finished shooting, Yan Zhenxi, Liu Yuqian, and Meng Ran also wrapped up.

Shen Yao prepared a big cake for them and had a small farewell party.

At the farewell party, there was no shortage of praises, and Zhou Yun had become accustomed to it by now, able to respond and thank naturally.

After leaving, Zhou Yun hugged each person, including Liu Yuqian and Meng Ran.

But Liu Yuqian and Meng Ran didn’t hug each other or even glance at each other, as if the other didn’t exist.

Zhou Yun saw Xu Caisheng in a corner of the crowd.

He seemed relieved, his expression a mix of excitement.

Was it relief over Liu Yuqian and Meng Ran leaving?

Zhou Yun indifferently shifted her gaze and left the crew.

Zheng Xiaojue had already packed all the luggage beforehand and put it in the car.

The group drove to the airport.

The vehicle was provided by the crew, parked at the airport, and would be picked up later.

They checked in, went through security, and entered the lounge.

Shortly after, Meng Ran and her team also came in.

They happened to be on the same flight.

What a coincidence.

Zhou Yun greeted Meng Ran.

Meng Ran came over, opened her arms, and hugged Zhou Yun.

”Sister Xiao Yun, it’s great to see you here. I didn’t get to properly say goodbye at the set.” Meng Ran said.

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”No worries, haven’t I said? The future is long.”

Meng Ran shook her head, ”I know it will be hard for me to work with you again, you are an incredible actress.”

”Xiao Ran, I said, the future is long, we compete in perseverance, not rush.” Zhou Yun said, ”As long as you don’t give up, at thirty, at forty, who says we won’t have the chance to cooperate.”

Meng Ran looked at Zhou Yun surprised, ”My God, thirty, forty, I’ve never thought about that far ahead.”

Zhou Yun: ”Neither have I, but they are waiting for us in the future, so we both need to work hard.”

Meng Ran nodded, her eyes slightly teary.

”Sister Xiao Yun, you are the first to seriously tell me that I can definitely make it.”

”Really? Then I’m honored.” Zhou Yun whispered, ”In the future, try not to overlap films when possible, I know sometimes it’s not your decision, but when you do have a say, don’t forget this.”

”Yeah.” Meng Ran nodded, then tears rolled down as she lowered her head, ”I’m sorry, it wouldn’t have delayed you so long if it weren’t for me.”

Zhou Yun patted Meng Ran’s cheek, ”I forgive you this time.”

Meng Ran broke into a smile.

”Sister Xiao Yun, you are really kind.”

”Because I know you are too.” Zhou Yun said.

Meng Ran: ”I will work hard.”

”I will too.”

Their team members looked at them affectionately talking, somewhat surprised because they knew Zhou Yun and Meng Ran were not this close during the filming.

How did they suddenly become so close?
