The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 398: Chapter 398: Don’t worry, we’ll provide for you_1

”Xiao Xie!”

”Ying Ying Jie!”

Watching the joyous Camille Rhodes and Samantha Tate linking arms in front of him, Carson Flores felt a subtle range of emotions.

Aren’t women supposed to be jealous?

So why does it seem like that rule doesn’t apply when it comes to him?

”What shall we eat?”

”How about barbecue? After dinner, shall we go sing?”

”Sure!”

In just a few words, Camille Rhodes and Samantha Tate decided on the evening’s menu. Carson, being the gentleman he was, naturally would not object, and the trio found a barbecue bar.

Carson took command of grilling, the slices of meat sizzling and oozing fat, the aroma overwhelming.

Camille Rhodes raised her beer glass: ”Cheers! To celebrate your triumphant return!”

Full of curiosity, Samantha Tate asked, ”Ying Ying Jie, you come from a family that practices martial arts, why didn’t you go to the scene yourself?”

Camille Rhodes explained, ”I had no idea Carson was going to the Southwest meeting. By the time I found out, Carson and the Divine Cloudy Sect had already locked horns. If I went, I’d just be causing a scene, and Jensen Meadows would definitely use me as fodder to attack Carson, shifting everyone’s attention. I couldn’t care less for myself, but it would harm his reputation, and that wouldn’t be good.”

Carson said with a laugh, ”What reputation do I have to speak of? It’s no use to me anyway.”

Camille Rhodes chuckled, ”That won’t do. You are a promising young hero; your reputation is very important.”

Samantha Tate teased, ”Private life issues? It’s not a big deal. At most, you’d be called a young playboy. There are many such men. Look at the third richest on the billionaire list, the second son of the Luo family. He’s always in the news, with a different beauty by his side every time. Who knows how many envy him.”

Camille Rhodes laughed, ”Who would blame that second son of the Luo family, with his generous ways, almost like a wishing machine? The beauties with him, even if it’s just for a short while, aside from receiving generous gifts, often find support in their careers, helping them advance to higher positions. With such a man, even if a breakup is inevitable, who would hold a grudge, who wouldn’t like that? No wonder so many women dream of having a fling with him.”

As Camille Rhodes said this, her eyes gleamed with laughter as she gazed at Carson.

Picking up the scissors, Carson cut the grilled meat into small pieces, laughing as he said, ”You can say what you want, but why stare at me? I’m only good at fighting; I have neither money nor power. I can’t be a wished machine like that second son of the Luo family. Anyone following me will have to endure hardship and poverty.”

Camille Rhodes said with a grin, ”That’s alright, we can support you.”

Samantha Tate’s face flushed slightly with shyness; after all, Camille Rhodes used the word ”we”, clearly including her in the statement.

What does that imply?

Carson said jokingly, ”No wonder the doctor told me I have a bad stomach last time I went for a check-up...”

Samantha Tate blinked with concern, ”You have a bad stomach?”

Carson laughed, ”Yeah, the doctor said my stomach was not good; it’d be best if I ’ate soft rice’.”

Only then did Samantha Tate realize she’d been played, and she glared at Carson, but then she laughed herself.

After finishing their barbecue, the three headed to a KTV and sang songs while drinking in the private room.

Once the door was closed and there were no outsiders, Samantha Tate began to sing. Camille Rhodes slipped off her high heels, lounged on the sofa beside Carson, her black-stockinged long legs full of endless allure in the dim light.

Just as Carson’s eyes grew hot, Camille Rhodes turned her head and whispered in his ear like a mischievous fairy.

”I told you before, if you won, I’d wear black stockings for you to see... Do they look good?”

Do they look good?

Of course, they look fantastic!

Which man can resist the charm of black stockings?

Carson didn’t respond, but the heat in his eyes already gave away his answer. Camille Rhodes giggled, ”Do you want me to get her drunk for you, to make things easier for you?”

Carson was speechless. Are you addicted to getting people drunk now?

Last time it was the sister, and now you want to intoxicate the younger one?

”No need, the way it is now is quite good.”

Camille Rhodes laughed, ”Are you worried that if you sleep with Shirley, you’ll have to let go of the sister? If you sleep with Xiao Xie, you’ll have to let go of the sister? You can’t bear to part with either, so you dare not cross that line with either, maintaining a balance...”

Carson turned, startled, and stared at Camille Rhodes, dumbfounded.

She hit the nail on the head!

Indeed, Carson’s thoughts were just like that; for a man, feelings naturally deepen for a woman he has lain with.

If there were a scale in Carson’s heart, with Shirley on the left and Samantha on the right, it was balanced now. But if he took things further with one, the scale would inevitably tip towards her, forcing Carson to push the other away completely.

It was precisely this mentality that kept Carson from taking that step.

Camille Rhodes pursed her lips and laughed softly, ”Looks like I guessed right.”

Carson didn’t hide it and nodded candidly, ”That’s exactly it. What’s your take on it?”

Camille Rhodes said with a smile, ”Eventually, you’ll have to take that step anyway, why leave any regrets? Shirley isn’t here now, and she even said she didn’t care what you did, so what are you hesitating for?”

As if possessed, Carson asked, ”And if Shirley comes back?”

Camille Rhodes laughed, ”Look at that second son of the Luo family; he manages a bunch of women just fine, nothing goes wrong. How come you’re having such a tough time with just two? If Shirley comes back, just work things out with her too. If you can’t bear to let either go, then be proactive and fight for it. Happiness is something you fight for, not something you wait for. While you’re waiting, the women might also be waiting for you to take that step...”
