The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 372: Chapter 372: Moths to a Flame?_1

Rocky Stein made another move, and Castiel Martinez and the others became greatly anxious, turning their heads to look at Tobias Singleton beside them.

”Elder Tobias!”

Tobias Singleton’s gaze was tightly fixed on the center of the action, as if he did not hear the crowd’s shouting.

The crowd’s hearts suddenly chilled.

This old fox!

As an Innate Grandmaster, Rocky Stein’s move was not something just anyone could withstand. Tobias Singleton had breached his promise from yesterday, choosing to stand by and watch.

If Rocky Stein killed Carson Flores, it would inevitably become a handle for everyone to attack the Divine Cloudy Sect with. If she failed to kill him, then the Divine Cloudy Sect would become an utter joke. Either way, Tobias Singleton would bear no loss.

Challenge the Divine Cloudy Sect’s Innate Grandmaster for Carson Flores?

Impossible!

Carson Flores stared at Rocky Stein, who was swooping down like a fly once more, with sharp eyes and a calm expression.

”Bang!”

As Rocky Stein sent Carson flying with another palm strike, he countered with a flick of his fingers.

A thread of Gang Qi, carrying a fierce finger wind, struck Rocky Stein.

Rocky Stein sneered. As an Innate Grandmaster, how could such a counterattack harm her in the slightest?

Carson’s body, seemingly weightless, was flung away once more, blood spraying from his mouth.

The terrifying power of the Innate Grandmaster was fully demonstrated in this moment.

Carson had already put all his effort into defending and dissipating the force, yet he was still unable to block a seemingly casual blow from Rocky Stein.

The onlookers around were shocked. Was this the might of an Innate Grandmaster?

Carson was capable of thrashing Nash Acedvedo, but in front of Rocky Stein, he didn’t even have a chance to dodge!

That one palm strike seemed to seal the very space around him, compressing the air so strongly that the Gang Qi alone was enough to send Carson flying without even touching him!

Carson had no strength to fight back!

The gap in their power was just too great!

Today, it seemed Carson would be crippled by Rocky Stein here.

Carson’s words had just now made everyone feel a great deal of sympathy for him, but as they watched Rocky Stein bully him with her strength, even though they dared not speak up, they all felt disgusted in their hearts.

The Divine Cloudy Sect really was overbearing and tyrannical!

Rocky Stein, looking at Carson bleeding, sneered and chased after him again.

She would not give Carson any more chances!

Just as Rocky Stein’s Gang Qi was flowing and she was about to strike Carson with another palm, she suddenly felt an acute pain in her chest, and the palm couldn’t help but stop mid-air, forced back by the sharp pain.

Carson, pale-faced, looked at the suddenly immobile Rocky Stein with cold eyes. He wiped the fresh blood from the corner of his mouth and staggered toward Rocky Stein.

Ricky Stein’s palm, originally smooth like flowing water, suddenly stalled, causing all the onlookers to be filled with confusion.

What was happening?

Did Rocky Stein have a change of heart, feeling that bullying the weak was too excessive, so she stopped the attack?

When the crowd saw Carson charging at Rocky Stein, they were shocked all over again.

Carson was too fierce!

Was he actually not running away but instead attacking proactively?

Moth darting into the flame?

An ant trying to shake a tree?

Carson’s actions enraged Rocky Stein. She endured the sudden surge of pain and lifted her palm to strike at Carson.

Carson was sent flying once more, without a doubt!

All the onlookers’ hearts sank. Was it really just a moth darting into the flame?

A Grandmaster was indeed no match for an Innate Grandmaster. Carson, though brave, had acted too recklessly.

A senseless valiance, not much different from seeking death!

Such a pity!

At the Divine Cloudy Sect, Jensen Meadows and Josephine Harrison watched Carson being sent flying again, their faces excited and filled with satisfaction.

This time let’s see if you die!

What if you are a Grandmaster? Our Divine Cloudy Sect has an Innate Grandmaster!

Killing you is as easy as slaughtering a chicken!

Josephine Harrison’s gaze was fierce, and in her heart, she was already thinking about how to humiliate Carson later, how to vent her spite, how to make his life worse than death.

But just at that moment, the situation in the arena dramatically shifted.

Rocky Stein’s face suddenly twisted in pain. She reached out to hold her chest as though trying to suppress the stabbing pain that arose abruptly, but the next second, the pain flooded her body like a tide.

”Spurt!”

With her Qi and blood roiling, Rocky Stein spat out blood and fell to the ground weakly.

The sudden dramatic change shocked everyone.

Zayne Shepherd, who was still on the stage, flashed over to Rocky Stein’s side and supported her.

Rocky Stein’s face was red as blood, her breathing rapid, teeth clenched tight, her whole face distorted with severe pain, making her look rather frightful.

Carson slowly stood up from the ground, wiping the fresh blood from his mouth and staring coldly at Rocky Stein.

Everything was going according to his plan.

”Rocky Stein, go on, take another shot. Maybe one more hit will be enough to finish me off,” Carson taunted.

Rocky Stein, hearing Carson’s words, felt her blood surge; fresh blood spilled from the corner of her mouth again, her body trembling slightly, clearly furious, yet now she lacked even the strength to stand firm.

All the onlookers were dumbfounded. What was going on?

Had the situation really turned around?

Rocky Stein was spitting blood on her own?

Seeing her struggle to stand, where was her might as an Innate Grandmaster now?

Almost simultaneously, they recalled Carson’s words from before.

”Just how many more times can your broken body allow you to strike? Once or twice?”

All eyes turned to Carson’s face in shock.

Had Carson really seen through Rocky Stein’s illness?

Were all of Carson’s provocations just now deliberate?
