The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 380: Chapter 380 She Actually Really Knelt!_1

Rocky Stein stared intently at Carson Flores, ”Carson Flores, you have already shamed Zhi Yan and Shan Ming, and earned enough face. Why not quit while you’re ahead?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”I don’t understand the concept of quitting while I’m ahead. How should virtue repay grievance? Although you, Rocky Stein, are an Innate Grandmaster and being old is a fact, none of these are reasons for being unreasonable and bullying others with power. Since you’ve all said that the one with the bigger fist makes the rules, now that your life is in my hands, naturally my reason is the biggest.”

Rocky Stein clenched her teeth, glaring at Carson Flores with resentment, ”So you want to fight to the death with my Divine Cloudy Sect?”

Carson Flores replied calmly, ”Having you, an Innate Grandmaster, as a cushion, even if I die, it won’t be a loss.”

Rocky Stein’s eyes turned cold as she looked at Carson Flores, ”I will apologize to you in front of everyone and promise not to bother you again. Is that acceptable? Or do you really want to offend people to death? If the Divine Cloudy Sect takes action against you later, will it be a fight to the finish?”

Carson Flores scoffed, ”You think this is bargaining at a vegetable market? You have your dignity and face to save, and I, being young, should just accept having no dignity or face, and deserve to be bullied and trampled by you? You like to bully others with your power, so today I’ll let you taste the flavor of humiliation!”

”As for whether the Divine Cloudy Sect will act against me in the future, that’s for the future to decide. If I dare to do this, naturally I’m not afraid of your revenge.”

Rocky Stein asked persistently, ”Are there really no other conditions that can be negotiated?”

Carson Flores said decisively, ”No!”

Rocky Stein bit her teeth hard, ”If I really kneel to you, can you heal me?”

Carson Flores replied, ”Your disease has already reached a critical stage. I can’t promise complete healing, but curing seven or eight tenths of it, ensuring your life isn’t lost, and your strength doesn’t wane, is not a problem.”

Rocky Stein knew her own situation well; the Gang Qi within her body was running amok, and even speaking normally was painful. If this continued, she might not be able to hold on much longer.

Kneel?

Rocky Stein’s heart was filled with anger and helplessness.

Not kneel?

If she didn’t kneel, she would die!

Rocky Stein’s mind was in turmoil. She, as an Innate Grandmaster, naturally had the pride of an Innate Grandmaster, but in the face of death, that pride was beginning to crumble.

What could be more enticing than survival?

Eventually, Rocky Stein made up her mind. Only by living would there be opportunities. Dignity and all else could be discarded for now; she could find a way to retrieve them later!

Once Carson Flores saved her, she would find an opportunity to discreetly get rid of Carson Flores!

Seeing the hesitance and indecision on Rocky Stein’s face, Carson Flores smiled faintly and turned to leave, ”Innate Grandmasters indeed carry quite the prestige, take your time to think. I’ll be leaving now.”

”Wait!”

Seeing Carson Flores about to leave, Rocky Stein panicked, quickly called out to stop him, and with great effort, stood up with the help of a middle-aged woman beside her.

Carson Flores stopped in his tracks, turned his head, and looked at the standing Rocky Stein with a sneer, ”What, have you figured it out?”

Rocky Stein spoke sternly, ”So kneeling and apologizing means you’ll save my life and not make any other demands?”

Carson Flores nodded slightly, ”Yes.”

Rocky Stein gritted her teeth, pushed away the middle-aged woman beside her, and fell to her knees.

A chorus of gasps rose from the crowd.

”She actually knelt down!”

”She has knelt! The dignity of the Divine Cloudy Sect is gone.”

”Heh, the face of the Divine Cloudy Sect is completely lost with this single kneel.”

”Today’s spectacle is too thrilling! A man under thirty has actually trampled the Divine Cloudy Sect under his feet, a dazzling reversal. Who would have thought this would be the outcome beforehand?”

”Carson Flores really made a huge impression today, but he has also deeply offended the Divine Cloudy Sect. They will definitely seek revenge afterwards. Even if Rocky Stein doesn’t take action herself, there are still two other Innate Grandmasters and more than a dozen Great Grandmasters. He’s still young after all. It feels good to vent now, but he has made some deadly enemies.”

Under the astonished gaze of the crowd, Rocky Stein said, her face expressionless, ”Carson Flores, I’m sorry for attacking you unprovoked and bullying you using my status. Please forgive me.”

Carson Flores laughed loudly, ”So even an Innate Grandmaster can kneel. Your knees aren’t as hard as I imagined.”

Rocky Stein hung her head low, her eyes filled with shame and rage. When had she ever experienced such humiliation?

Others knelt before her, not the other way around!

But today, for the sake of living, she knelt!

Rocky Stein’s mind brimmed with murderous intent. Since you didn’t accept my oath not to pursue you afterwards, don’t blame me for being ruthless later.

It’s you who is overstepping the bounds and lacking discretion!

Seeing that Rocky Stein was silent with her head lowered, Carson Flores sneered, ”Alright, get up. Find a quiet place, and I will treat your illness.”

Carson Flores could guess Rocky Stein’s thoughts, but he wasn’t worried.

If Rocky Stein could kneel to me for the sake of survival, she would naturally be respectful and even actively protect me for the same reason!

Thinking of taking revenge on me?

No chance!
