The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 354: Chapter 354: You’re Not Trying to Act Like a Father-in-Law, Are You?_1

Samantha Tate laughed, and Carson Flores laughed too.

Who can blame him for being young?

Being young always leads to some delusions, which in turn breeds some incorrect judgments.

If he had been an eighty-year-old Great Grandmaster, the Rhodes Family would never have dared to commit such a disrespectful act, sending two bodyguard-like figures to forcefully invite him to return for a cup of tea, would they?

Do they not know the meaning of death?

Because he was young, and because he proclaimed Camille Rhodes to be his woman, it probably made quite a few people in the Rhodes Family think that this kid could be manipulated and controlled.

Camille Rhodes is a junior member of the Rhodes Family, and as her man, wouldn’t he also be considered a junior member of the Rhodes Family?

He would have to show some face for Camille Rhodes’s sake, wouldn’t he?

Just as Samantha Tate said, ”Even heroes have a hard time getting past the beauty.”

Too bad, without proper status, the words do not follow, and they naturally erred.

Camille Rhodes was smart; she knew the character of her family members well and had anticipated this situation, so she had taken the initiative to clarify things with Carson Flores long ago.

Camille knew that this man was a dragon, one that could not possibly be tamed.

If not even Shirley Miller or Samantha Tate could, then naturally, neither could she, Camille Rhodes.

Why did she receive Carson Flores’s recognition and was willing to acknowledge herself as his woman, ready to stand up and shelter her from the storm?

Is it not because she did not ask for anything?

When Camille Rhodes returned to the Rhodes Household, there were many people at home, including her father, Kaden Rhodes, her brother, Preston Rhodes, and an old man with white hair and beard, the elder patriarch of the Rhodes Family, Paxton Rhodes.

Kaden Rhodes looked at Camille, his gaze sweeping behind her to find nothing there, and his face instantly darkened.

”Where is Carson?”

Camille answered nonchalantly, ”He went to take his girlfriend home. He’s busy dating—how could he have time to join you for tea?”

Kaden’s face twisted into a strange expression, ”Girlfriend? Isn’t he married? Where did this girlfriend come from?”

Camille laughed, ”Just because he’s married, doesn’t mean he can’t have a girlfriend. What’s so strange about a capable man having several women? What’s the big deal?”

Kaden’s face looked unhealthy on the spur of the moment, ”Didn’t he tell Jensen Meadows and the others that you are his woman?”

Camille replied, ”It was just an excuse to help. Do you expect him to watch me get pushed down by Jensen Meadows and do nothing? And he couldn’t just wait for you to rescue me...”

Kaden’s complexion turned red; Camille’s words were a slap in his face as a father.

Kaden’s eyes fell on the fresh blood on the chest of the bodyguard being assisted, ”You’ve been hurt?”

The bodyguard nodded, ”I took a palm strike from Mr. Flores!”

Kaden erupted, ”I kindly invited him for tea, and not only does he fail to show up, but he also attacks someone?”

Camille’s tone was leisurely as she responded, ”The two bodyguards you sent blocked his way and insisted on inviting him for tea by force. They even wanted to get physical. Dad, was this your instruction? It’s really amusing. Two bodyguards, not even Grandmasters, forcefully inviting a Great Grandmaster for tea, refusing to let him leave if he disagreed. I’d like to know, who gave them such courage?”

Paxton Rhodes slammed the table furiously, ”Isn’t he your friend? A junior refusing an elder’s invitation and acting so arrogantly, daring to attack?”

Camille turned her head to glance at Paxton with a slight smile, ”Great Grandpa, he’s a Great Grandmaster, after all. He might not give me face, and that’s fine, since I’m just an ordinary woman. But if you don’t give face to a Great Grandmaster, the consequences can be quite severe.”

Kaden frowned, ”How are you talking to the elder?”

Camille sat down leisurely on the sofa, smiling slightly, ”The Rhodes Family wants to connect with him precisely because he is a Great Grandmaster. However, I am very curious, since when did our Rhodes Family have the audacity to pound the table and curse at a Great Grandmaster? When did we become so formidable? Or is it that someone from our Rhodes Family has advanced to Great Grandmaster?”

As soon as Camille’s words were out, the faces of Kaden and Paxton grew extremely unpleasant. Her brother Preston’s expression was subtle, as though he wanted to laugh but dared not, secretly giving a thumbs up to Camille at his side.

Kaden clenched his teeth, ”But from the information I’ve gathered, you and Carson have been together...”

After all, she’s his daughter, so Kaden was reluctant to speak too bluntly.

But Camille didn’t seem to mind and smiled slightly, ”Together? You mean he and I have slept together? Yes, we have. We’re consenting adults—it’s not illegal, right?”

Kaden stared at his daughter, apparently coming to understand her mindset, ”Don’t forget, you’re a member of the Rhodes Family!”

Camille smiled faintly, ”Dad, I am a member of the Rhodes Family, but don’t forget, he’s a genuine Great Grandmaster. He can scold and beat Jensen Meadows like a dog. Do you think he’d be afraid of you, or Great Grandpa?”

After a pause, Camille glanced at Paxton, whose expression changed unexpectedly, ”Dad, you don’t think that because he’s slept with me, you can blackmail a Great Grandmaster? Do you plan to play the role of father-in-law in front of a Great Grandmaster?”
