The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Why did you mess with them for no reason?_1

”North River Holiday Villa?”

Carson Flores looked around and laughed, ”This is set up like some high-end business meeting...”

Trevor Knight wiped the sweat from his forehead and chuckled, ”Although Cultivators are not exactly a secret and are known to the world, gatherings like these are still best kept away from ordinary people. Finding a resort hotel or a vacation villa is naturally the most appropriate.”

As the two of them were talking at the hotel entrance, a black stretch limousine pulled up in front, the car door opened, and the three women they had met on the train got out.

Trevor Knight’s expression changed: ”The three people you mentioned before, are they them?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Do you know them?”

Trevor Knight said in a low voice, ”The eldest one is Rocky Stein, an elder of the Divine Cloudy Sect, an Innate Grandmaster...”

By this time, the three women had already walked over. Trevor Knight, seeming concerned he might be overheard by the party in question, quickly shut his mouth and a respectful expression appeared on his face.

The middle-aged woman saw Carson Flores, frowned slightly, and paused her steps, ”Which family do you belong to?”

Carson Flores smiled and said, ”Unaffiliated, I came here to broaden my horizons.”

Trevor Knight hastily stated his identity, ”Elder Stein, hello, I am Trevor Knight, responsible for the Hundred Medicine Sect’s business in the southwest region.”

Rocky Stein acknowledged with a nod, her demeanor cold, without a word in reply. The middle-aged woman quickly supported her and they walked into the hotel. Clearly, they did not hold Trevor Knight in high regard.

The haughty young woman came up to Carson Flores and looked him over, then sneered, ”You came with him?”

Carson Flores nodded calmly, ”Yes.”

The haughty young woman sneered, ”Then you should thank me for finding you a good spot, otherwise, you wouldn’t even be qualified to come in here...”

Carson Flores frowned but said nothing.

Towards the Divine Cloudy Sect, due to Jensen Meadows, he had no good feelings to begin with. Now, after encountering these three arrogant women, his dislike intensified, and he naturally did not want to engage with them.

Realizing Carson Flores’s displeasure, the haughty young woman’s gaze changed, and she approached him with a cold face: ”Hmph, it seems you’re quite dissatisfied...”

”Lipstick, we’re leaving.”

The voice of the middle-aged woman called from inside. The haughty young woman stopped advancing, pointed at Carson Flores and said, ”If you’ve got the guts, don’t leave.”

After dropping that line, the haughty young woman turned and left. Trevor Knight said softly, ”The Divine Cloudy Sect acts like the local emperor here, accustomed to being domineering. Why did you provoke them? Now you’ve caught their attention. Maybe you shouldn’t attend the meeting. While they’re not paying attention, you should leave. After all, they don’t know your background...”

Carson Flores laughed and said, ”I made room for them, that was helping them out. They should be thanking me, right? People should always be reasonable.”

Trevor Knight smiled wryly, ”Cultivators speak with their fists, the biggest fist is the reason.”

Carson Flores changed the subject, ”The Hundred Medicine Sect’s business is supposed to be quite big, isn’t it? How come they didn’t give you much respect?”

Trevor Knight explained, ”It’s not just us in the herbal medicine business. We’re suppliers, and if a supplier isn’t an exclusive operation or a monopoly, then naturally their status isn’t as high as that of the money-offering purchasing party. Although the Divine Cloudy Sect has a demand for medicinal materials, in terms of supply and demand, naturally, they are more powerful.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”That’s all too real.”

Trevor Knight laughed, ”That’s how real it is. I’m just like a field manager running around the market with material suppliers. Everyone here is a potential customer, they’re the ones who feed me, I can’t afford to offend anyone...”

Trevor Knight brought the conversation back on a serious note, ”Really, you should leave now. To avoid them coming back to trouble you. It won’t come to murder, but to humiliate you in public, to beat you up, is totally unnecessary, right?”

Carson Flores just smiled, ”The three sects, four families, it’s not like it’s up to the Divine Cloudy Sect to call the shots here. No worries, since I’m here, I might as well gain some experience before I leave...”

Trevor Knight, helpless, advised, ”Then keep your eyes peeled and stay out of their way; avoid direct confrontation with them.”

”Alright!”

Trevor Knight took Carson Flores to complete the check-in process, and they shared a standard room.

Trevor Knight gave Carson Flores some advice, then went to visit customers and got busy with business, leaving Carson Flores to wander around on his own.

The holiday villa was vast, but for this grand event, it was already completely sealed off, refusing to open to the public, not allowing non-Cultivators to enter.

Carson Flores, alone with nothing to do and no friends to visit, followed the footpath towards the deeper parts of the holiday villa.

Strolling along, he turned a corner and saw a small building leaning against a mountain. Not far from the building was a small waterfall, with the stream trickling and lush greenery, a scene that was truly refreshing to the soul.

”Ah...”

The laughter of an infant drew Carson Flores’s attention. He looked to the side and was immediately startled.

On the railing of the small building’s terrace, a little girl about three years old was struggling to squeeze her body through the railing. By the time Carson Flores saw her, over half of her body had already passed through!

On instinct, Carson Flores started to run towards the area beneath the building.

Just as Carson Flores had run to the spot below, the little girl’s body was completely through the railing. Suddenly tilting, she began to fall straight down towards the ground.

”Ah!”
