The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 359: Chapter 359: Got Someone to Back You Up, Acting Arrogant Again?_1

”Carson Flores!”

Standing at the door were Lennox Acedvedo and Jensen Meadows, with Meadows staring intently at Carson Flores, his eyes filled with undisguised delight.

He hadn’t expected Carson Flores to actually dare to attend the Southwest Gathering!

Although many sects would participate in the Southwest Gathering, the ones whose words truly carried weight were only the three sects and four families, among which was the Divine Cloudy Sect!

This time, representing the Divine Cloudy Sect at the Southwest Gathering was none other than the Innate Grandmaster Elder Zhang!

With her there, were they afraid they couldn’t crush Carson Flores?

”Heaven has a path you didn’t take, hell has no gate yet you break in; you certainly have some guts!”

Carson Flores looked at Jensen Meadows, whose eyes were full of resentment, and chuckled lightly, ”Think you’re back on your own turf, with people from your sect backing you up, so you can act arrogantly again?”

The color of Jensen Meadows’ face deepened two shades of red, the mockery in Carson Flores’ words was like a vicious slap, fiercely hitting his face.

Unable to hold back, Lennox Acedvedo chimed in, ”Carson Flores, don’t be so arrogant. Even if you’re a Great Grandmaster, here, a Great Grandmaster isn’t anything special!”

Carson Flores laughed, ”A Great Grandmaster isn’t anything special? Heh, you might not be very capable, but sure have a lot to say. However, whether I’m formidable or not, as long as I can beat you guys, that’s all that matters.”

Lennox Acedvedo was taken aback, finding himself at a loss for words.

Jensen Meadows sneered, ”Go ahead and be arrogant. I want to see how long you can keep it up!”

Carson Flores responded with a faint smile, ”What’s the matter, Jensen Meadows? Are you relying on your Innate Grandmaster Elder Zhang? She’s probably a clay Bodhisattva crossing a river—barely able to save herself right now, let alone spare the effort to help you out.”

Jensen Meadows’ complexion changed, ”What did you say?”

Carson Flores just smiled and said no more.

Carson Flores had crossed paths with Rocky Stein up close twice before. As an Innate Grandmaster, she actually needed to be propped up by a middle-aged woman everywhere she went. While part of this was due to her lofty status, a more significant reason was that she was ill, with severe physical depletion. Otherwise, as a martial cultivator, who would want to show weakness, needing someone’s assistance to even walk?

For this reason, even though the Divine Cloudy Sect had an Innate Grandmaster like Rocky Stein there, Carson Flores wasn’t scared at all.

Jensen Meadows looked at Carson Flores’ calm demeanor and suddenly felt a bit panicked inside. Rocky Stein was his biggest confidence for talking tough, but Carson Flores had just said that she couldn’t even protect herself?

He needed to see her right away!

Jensen Meadows snorted coldly, ”Just you wait!”

He took two steps forward, saw members of the Rhodes Family, sneered arrogantly, and went straight on his way, with Lennox Acedvedo quickly following.

Kaden Rhodes, who witnessed Carson Flores’ sharp exchanges with Jensen Meadows, was suddenly scared out of his wits.

This was the Southwest Gathering, where members of the three sects and four families were present, including the Innate Grandmaster of the Divine Cloudy Sect. Yet Carson Flores was so confrontational with the young sect master of the Divine Cloudy Sect, showing no respect at all. Wasn’t he courting disaster?

He suddenly felt the urge to distance himself from Carson Flores.

So as to avoid getting splattered with blood when the trouble started.

He even regretted that he should not have greeted Carson Flores just now. Talking to Flores, without making friends, only to be noticed by Jensen Meadows and Lennox Acedvedo. Wouldn’t they think that Camille Rhodes, the Rhodes Family and Carson Flores were all in the same boat?

If Carson Flores got into trouble, wouldn’t the Rhodes Family be next?

Bad luck!

Kaden Rhodes quickly made up his mind. Since you want to keep a distance from us, then we’ll keep a distance from you. That’s reasonable, right?

Kaden Rhodes picked up his phone, glanced at it, and said with a smile, ”Mr. Flores, a friend is waiting for me, so we will be leaving now. Let’s talk again later.”

Carson Flores smiled slightly, ”Sure, President Rhodes, see you later.”

Kaden Rhodes’ subtle reaction did not escape Carson Flores’s eye, but he didn’t care.

He didn’t want to involve the Rhodes Family in his and Camille Rhodes’ situation because once emotions got entangled with a wealthy family, things tended to become extremely complicated and lose their purity.

The reason he helped Camille Rhodes was simply because she was his woman, regardless of her family background.

Carson Flores returned to his hotel room, where Trevor Knight was organizing his suitcase, filled with wild ginseng individually packed in small boxes.

These were the gifts he had prepared for his clients.

When Trevor Knight saw Carson Flores, he continued to pack and casually asked, ”Where did you go just now?”

Carson Flores replied with a smile, ”Just wandered around nearby. Hey, Old Trevor, I think I’ll go get a room of my own.”

Trevor Knight was taken aback, ”What’s the matter, not used to sharing a room?”

Carson Flores responded frankly, ”I just ran into a few friends, and it looks like I’m going to have some trouble. You were kind enough to bring me here; I don’t want to drag you into this.”

Trevor Knight frowned with concern, ”Then you should get going now, why stick around? Safety first. As long as you leave this place, they won’t come after you...”

Carson Flores shook his head, ”I’m not afraid of them, I just don’t want to involve you.”

Trevor Knight looked at Carson Flores with worry, ”Divine Cloudy Sect?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”I was planning to avoid those women and stay out of trouble, but I just ran into the young sect master of the Divine Cloudy Sect, Jensen Meadows. I beat him up a few days ago...”

”What in the world?”

Trevor Knight’s eyes widened as he stared at Carson Flores in shock, with a look of disbelief, ”You beat up the young sect master of the Divine Cloudy Sect?”
